This is our 6th time in Chiang Mai, and we fancied staying somewhere new. I came across the Wannamas Hotel whilst browsing, but struggled to get any research done on it. I booked it regardless, and boy, was I glad I did! We stayed for 9 nights and had a fabulous time. The hotel is compact, with only ten rooms, but has a great location next to Wat Phra Singh in the old town. The decor of the hotel is stunning, and whilst the rooms aren’t huge, they’re beautifully presented, and provide all you need. The breakfasts we had also exceeded expectations, with a different Thai dish each morning of our nine days! No cereals to be seen, just brilliant home made food which was SOOO tasty!!! But the highlight, and of course, the thing that can make or break your stay, was the staff. The manager, the chef, and all the rest of the team, were fabulous. Keen to explain things when you had questions, and always with huge smiles and warmth, as you see from so many Thais. Will we be staying here next time we visit Chiang Mai? Absolutely yes! And as far as research is concerned I’ll be uploading a video review of the hotel to YouTube in the next few weeks, and I’ll add the link to this review once it’s done. This little boutique hotel was in a great location and full of local charm. Breakfast was delicious and the staff was super friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean. The only small drawback is a lack of elevator but if you travel light it’s no problem.

We loved our stay at Wannamas hotel. It was a charming, cute hotel, with a lot of style and attention to detail. The staff was warm and kind. The breakfast was delicious with some Thai choices as well as continental options. The hotel is steps away from Wat Phra Singh but off the beaten track, quiet at night. On same block, there is SP chicken which is a tasty lunch option.

Lovely stay and very friendly staff”
Recommended staying here when u are at Chiang Mai, very value for money. Beautifully decorated and clean room. The staff are friendly and helpful with our parking request. Also, there are good massage and great coffee near to the hotel. Just that you have to climb the stairs with the luggage to your room but the staff are readily to assist to carry it to your room.

This place makes me feel like staying with a local friend’s family in the old Lanna neigbourhood. The staff, especially Miss Lar, made me feel at home and went beyond her duty to make sure her guests have the best experiences during their stay. For example, we stayed at this place during the covid-19 lock down. She went around the town to find the best food from the most well known venders to serve us every morning. She contacted the best massuer , who is her mom favorite , to service us in our room. Her knowledge about the city and hospitality made our trip during the lockdown fun and memorable
