"We enjoyed our long weekend at Satwa. The rooms are spacious, the hotel grounds are quiet and peaceful. The rooms all have fans but no a/c - the fan easily kept the rooms cool enough, especially at night. It's right next to Way Kambas National Park, which was our reason for visiting - to see the endangered Sumatran rhinos and elephants. The Satwa staff were very friendly, the food was good and they sell beer. Satwa offers a range of activities for the National Park, including visiting the Rhino Conservation Centre, the Elephant Conservation Centre for an elephant ride, river cruises to spot wildlife, bike rides through the local village, guided walks for wildlife spotting."
