"A nice, modern, clean hotel with very good service, professional staff and a very nice breakfast buffet with a very large selection of things. Obviously this is a good hotel for families with small children - they even organise special parties for them. However, the location of the hotel, though calm and nicely laid out, is terrible. There is absolutely nothing around the hotel, not even restaurants. You will have to take a taxi ride (10 minutes) down to Yilan."

"Yilan train station was only a 5~8 mins walk away, and the night market is just across the road from the hotel, how awesome is that! They open till around 1am, and there's just lots of good food and shopping in the area. A grocery store is located nearby as well. Breakfast is superb too, a must-try is the 'lu rou fan' or braised meat with rice. You may also like to try the Su'ao cold spring at Su'ao, which is a mere 40mins train ride (or less) + a 5mins walk from Yilan station. Another night market worth dropping by will be the Luo Dong Night Market at Luo Dong station, a stop away from Yilan station."

"The only problem I encountered is that the address of the hotel has been changed yet not shown on Agoda. Luckily I read Chinese and I found the new address by looking for the hotel's website and found myself at the right place. The hotel itself is simple yet comfortable enough with local feature. It is very close to Yilan train station with a nearby Night Market. This is not the most touristy area of Yilan yet a good choice if you are heading to other places for leisure exploration and not wanting to spend too much on lodging. It is also clean enough for a good night rest. The bathroom is again simple yet functional and clean. The wifi service makes things easier, too. When I left in the morning, they had gotten the Macdonald's breakfast ready to go, though cold already, however warm to my heart. "

"We were there on New Year's Eve, the staff recommended all the countdown activities and places-to-go in the area while we check-in. Very friendly staff indeed. The rooms are themed and there is flexibility to choose which empty room to stay at. The hotel has a perfect location, where it is near to the YiLan train station, and with night market just round the corner. It was over my expectation to have stayed at a hotel like Day-Chen at such a reasonable low price."
