Great for couples, small but beautiful hotel”

The hotel is really beautiful! The actual room is much more spacious and beautiful than the pictures! The staff are also very friendly ^^ The Kaiseki cuisine wasn't to my taste, but my boyfriend said it was delicious! The private onsen in the room was really nice too! However, the location is a bit difficult, about a 15-20 minute walk from Hakone Yumoto Station, so it was a bit difficult to go back and forth. Also, there was no heating system...it was too cold. The only way to adjust the temperature was to adjust the air conditioning, haha. There's nothing around the hotel, so be sure to buy something to eat at the convenience store near the station haha. Other than that, the hotel was pretty and nice.

Good value for money and delicious kaiseki.”

It takes about 15 minutes on foot from Hakone Station. It's uphill, but you can walk enough and the scenery is good. (There is a shuttle bus, but I didn't use it.) The Gaiseki is delicious and excellent value for money. The facilities may feel a bit old, but the bedding is comfortable, and above all, the staff are really friendly, so you can have a pleasant vacation. There are two public baths, and the time is divided so that you can use them alternately. The hot spring water is also good!

Great value for money.”

The hotel is not far from the station (it is recommended to take a taxi to the hotel and a 100 yen bus in front of the hotel when going to the station). The staff is also friendly. The food was also clean. I had a good experience for the price.

Recommended Yushin-tei Ryokan!”

The elderly owner and staff are all very friendly. The breakfast and dinner are traditional Japanese cuisine and very delicious, although those who do not like kaiseki or Japanese food may have different opinions. The private bath in the room is made of hinoki cypress and is really spacious. The temperature of the hot spring water is just right, and I enjoyed it two or three times a day. The room is spacious and has a Japanese-style decor, so there is no discomfort at all. It is equipped with a hairdryer, heater, amenities, and a set of dishes, but there is no refrigerator. It takes about 20 minutes to walk from Hakone Yumoto Station, and it is a good idea to take a walk if the weather is nice. Note that the schedule of the 100 yen bus that runs between the station and the ryokans has been greatly reduced during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Super friendly staff and nice rooms”

I stayed in the deluxe twin room with a private bath with my mom and we both really enjoyed our stay. While me speaking Japanese definitely helped smooth out our stay there, they did not rely on me to translate and interpret everything to my mom, doing their best to speak directly to her in English, which we both really appreciated. The food was great too and the room was very nice and clean. As we left, they asked for our plans, gave recommendations, and very kindly guided us to the shuttle bus waiting area. All in all we felt super welcomed and would gladly stay with Yushintei again!
