Date : 30.5.2021 - 31.5.2021. Reception : The reception area is very clean and spotless. The check in process is smooth and easy. The area is very modern and very nice. There are sanitizer working in full operation and the seating area is neat and comfy. Such a nice first impression we got. Much thanks to Amir for his hospitality and service. Location : Highly central, right in the heart of Jalan Wong Ah Fook. Walking distance to City Square and night market (closed unfortunately due to MCO). A lot of eateries around and the area is safe, just 50m away from a police station. Room : We got room 1608, right in front of the elevator. The room is super spacious, nice bed setting and the view is amazing. The bed is thick, hard but comfy. The pillows are perfect. The sitting area right in front of the window is amazing for me to marvel the city view. Bathroom is spacious and clean. All amenities are complete and the mini bar is working extremely well. The best part about this room is the view. I love it. Cleanliness : SUPER. Security : Only accessible by card to go up the elevator. Love it. And the free parking is convenient. I love the sense of security it provides. The parking is super cool, thru the lift. Satisfaction : 9.9 / 10. I totally recommend this hotel for travelers. I love it so much and our stay are perfect.

First and foremost, We would like to express our utmost joy to be back at Z Hotel. This is not our first time here staying at this hotel. This is the first time we are back after border re-opening but pre-covid, this hotel has been our go to hotel for our stay in JB. Location is good as it is easy access, 10 mins walk to City Square shopping mall and CIQ. 5mins walk across the hotel to the famous night bazaar(pasar karat). In the day you can walk to Jalan Dhoby to find some good eateries. Staff friendly, Kind, professional, helpful accommodating. Free secured parking even for motorbikes in the hotel private multi-storey carpark. room is clean, all working fine. Amenities is good. ALL in all it was a great stay. no regrets as always and no complains. I have one suggestion though, it will be great if they could include a USB-A charging outlet in the 13 amp power outlet socket. It will be a great addition and a more hassle free for travelers who doesn't wish to bring a bulky charging head for their devices.

Comfortable, easy stay”
Came on 22 December. Booked a king room last minute as I decided to extend my JB trip. This hotel can be seen from afar, with its striking green and black facade. It is of walkable distance to JB City Square, about 5 mins. Area is a little dangerous to walk around at night, I suggest to grab back. The room was large and spacious, bed was comfy and toilet was huge. The shower however was extremely tiny, unfitting for the large toilet. Room was clean. Aircon took awhile to get cold, and the Wi-Fi was pretty slow. The only good thing was that the TV had Netflix (own account) and Youtube. It is good for a one-night stay. The uncle outside the hotel was the best part of our experience. He was extremely kind and helps guests to direct the grab to hotel lobby, since Z Hotel isn't recognised in Grab Map yet. Tipped him but I think we saw the tip getting taken away by receptionist. (hope he gets paid well). Overall, for the price, I'll definitely come back if I am coming for a short trip.

For those who love a simple, nice, comfort place. This is the one. In the middle of town. Just walking distance to night Market (Bazar Karat). This is my 1st stay in Z hotel. Room ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Town view Toilet ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sea view Cleanliness ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ satisfied Bed ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ comfortable Amenities in the room, they have🌟 Hair dryer Toiletries Kettle, can make coffee TV, u can push until infront ur bed Staff ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ friendly Security ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ so helpful Food 🌟, beside hotel they have cafe. Very close to the causeway & halal eateries are within walking distance. Also close to Pasar Karat nigh market. Room has great city & causeway view which is great in the morning! Easy & fast check-in from efficient reception staffs. This hotel is rather new so rest assured their rooms are clean with comfortable bedding. They also provide a secured private parking for tenants (i was told that that area is rampant for car thefts / break-ins & car being scratched) & very hard to find public parking spaces. So to have a designated & secured parking just for hotel guests is good! Car lifts in the building will bring yr car to the higher parking floor. The rate im paying comes with no breakfast, but i have no qualms since rate is affordable. Recommended place for couples / families.

Place was new, very very clean! Loved the fact it's a smoke free hotel! Modern and minimalistic. Kinda likes the spaceman wall decor haha. Convenient and close proximity to CIQ (maybe 10 mins), famous curry fish head (2 mins walk) and close to the sat night pasar malam. Lovely reception team - smiley, calm and checks you in right away! Room has all toiletries, hair dryer, rain shower (sick), locker, fridge, digital TV :)) Some tiny cons thou, aircon power is not as good (maybe I'm too fat haha but there's a fan!) Stayed at 19th, but somehow could still hear noises from the outside (I'm a sensitive sleeper, maybe it's a jb party thing, so don't get too bothered!). Apart from those, really enjoyed my 1 nights stay!

YOU GET MORE THAN WHAT YOU PAID”
First of all, you did not get what you paid! YOU GET MORE THAN WHAT YOU PAID. Strategic location, lots of places and shops to eat/foods are everywhere, clean hotel with very chic concepts. Cleanroom, lovely bathroom and things I like the most I can watch Netflix on the television. Who watches TV these days? Brilliant idea I must say. The only downside is the water pressure at the sink is so slow. I can't even wash my hand properly. But since I'm just staying for 1 night, that does not bother me. It can be improved of course. Have massage and manicure services at level 2. Very convenient and the massage worth the price. Overall, I had an amazing experience staying at the Z hotel. I will stay here whenever I'm coming over to JB.

I had a wonderful experience at the Z Hotel last Sunday. So this is my second time check-in at this hotel. Every staff member I encountered especially Hafizi and the Team who working on the same shift that time, front office counter (i don't remember her name) but she kinda pretty tho! They were delightful and eager to help even offer to send my stuff to my room when i left it at counter . The staff at this property are all great <3 They all go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Please Z Hotel give your staff awards <3 The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. The sevice was exceptional as well. Would definitely send a friend there.

A gem of a Hotel”
This hotel should be classed as 4 stars. It has spacious clean rooms with good bathrooms. The shower hot water and pressure is first class. The room we were upgraded to a sparkling new room. We were so happy we extended our stay in Johor Bahru. The staff are always smiling and so keen to please the guests that we truly felt welcome. We must especially mention Ira, Naili and Hafizee for doing their best to help us whenever we needed help. We will not forget your kindness. Lastly, the location is in the best street of central Johor Bahru. Less than 10 minutes walk to JB Sentral and the JB City Square which is a beautiful shopping mall.

Been to JB from KL every week due to my work, Z Hotel is the best place to unwind after a very arduous day working. It's superbly cleaned, the view! Oh wow! I got the end of the hallway room, it's full of windows! I woke up to the beautiful view of Singapore and when I turned to the left, the wonderfol JB view. That night I went strolling at the nearby flea market, Bazar Karat JB, I had such a happy moment there. This hotel has everything I ever wanted as a business traveller. Will I come again? YES! Will I recommend this hotel to my friends and family? YES, provided if I am not travelling to JB as well coz I want a room for myself 😜

Check-in was fast and easy. Please note that the hotel will collect RM100 deposit upon your arrival and that can only be in cash term. Hotel will also deduct the room payment on the day itself, and that can be via your cc. We were told that our room (non-smoking) wasn't ready when we reach hence the staff is very nice to offer a smoking room instead and assured us there won't be any smell. I was very reluctant at first, but she offered another step forward to allow me to take a look and check the room first before deciding. We went up to room 1411. No smell, true enough. Everything went so well till we discovered the aircon has an error msg during the day. We quickly inform the staff before we head off to our breakfast, and they said that they will get the aircon checked. When we came back from our shopping, we were told to change room instead because they are unable to fix the aircon. We agreed. So far so good in our new room 2010. Perfect! Many shops nearby too. Thanks Z Hotel. :)

The minimalist Z hotel is located on the historic Jalan Wong Ah Fook, making us have easy access to the city's old quarter. The gigantic Segget River Beautification Project stands out in the landscape. We had a morning walk from Meldrum Street to the Johor Bahru Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine Complex (CIQ). For the first time, the bustle and hustle of this border town, Johor Bahru had disappeared. The city was tranquil and empty on that early morning amid the Covid-19 pandemic, probably due to the closure of the Johor-Singapore causeways. We noticed most of the shops are closed, many shops and hotels have closed down, only a handful of eateries were open. We saw vagrants sleep on the veranda at every corner of the city, and mostly the elderly and the disables walk on the streets. A few of them had approached us for money. While we were grateful that the city appears to be inclusive and accommodative to the homeless and the poor who are elderly or physically challenged, we do have great concerns for the displacement created by gentrification. Sadly, the mega infrastructure projects and the luxury real estates in the areas do not cater to the local livelihoods' local standard, only designed to uproot the city into a transnational commercial hub for the wealthy and foreigners.

This was an excellent hotel. The amenities were great. Everything was provided for in the room, even an iron. The staffs were friendly and pleasant, especially Mr. Ganesan. It was a very comfortable and spacious room. I loved the fact that the room had both aircond and fan. Toiletries were provided, including a comb. The view was great, as I could see the Straits and Singapore. It was a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. If the opportunity arises, I would stay there again.

Stayed in their king bed room this time, got a corner room which is nice, quieter, away from the weekend pasar malam. But wifi signal is not good. The first time I stayed, the wifi was really good. Comfortable bed and pillows, great amenities. Overall is clean and nice. Parking is available infront of hotel or behind their lift parking. There will be security to guide you. Staff’s friendly as always. Keep it up. Great location, near to city square and famous eateries. Super value for money place to stay. My go to place everytime I visit jb.

Rooms were great for the price, especially the amazing view of the checkpoint bridge and the city. Would like to praise the great service staff Garnesan provided. On my 2nd day of stay, I came out of the hotel and to my horror, my parked car was missing. I was scared that it was stolen, and when to the reception to ask "I think someone stole my car, can you help me to find it?" Garnesan then went on to bring me through to the police post, and when they took too long to reply, he asked his supervisor to drive us to the car yard (where they impound vehicles) directly. Luckily, the car was there. However, I had to pay a fine first, at another area. He then brought me to the area to pay the fines, and finally we went back to collect my car. In total, we spent around 2 hours back and forth. Without his help and patience, I would have really lost the car as even the police did not assist. Long story short: Greatly recommended stay with good views and better service.

Reasonably priced and located at the end of Jalan Wong Ah Fook, which lights up at night with many different structures along the long stretch of road. Near to malls, eateries, banks, etc. Very clean room and friendly staff. First experience for me using their carpark lift, although the doors open a bit slow, it's still cool. Room was spacious with an awesome view. I had some problem as my sink was leaking but they quickly put me in another room which solved the problem. Overall, a bright cosy and clean place. I'll definitely be back.

A perfect hotel for Cyclist”
My friend and I have stayed here for two nights after a long day of cycling from Muar. We arrived pretty late and checked in at almost midnight, yet, still be greeted well by the hotel staff. Unlike many other unfriendly hotels towards cyclists that we had experienced, the hotel welcomed us, and we could bring up our bicycles to our room. The room we stayed in has a huge space for both of us, even with our two bikes (we still can put more in). I want to recommend the cyclist who enjoyed their bike tour to Johor Bharu to stay here. The location is near Pasar Karat, where you can drop by to see what's interesting. However, be careful riding your bicycle around the area, as the road will be bustling and crowded (including the whole journey starting from Senai - to Johor Bharu). The best time to depart from the hotel will be early morning as there will be fewer cars on the road. Have fun
