Strategic location, basic hotel”
The hotel is good for its location in Simpang Dago. Mc Donalds, Hokben and Pasar Dago is just at walking distance to buy food. The hotel itself is quite basic, a bit old facility, only good for sleeping.. Bed sheets are old and somewhat noisy from the street. Choose 3rd floor to reduce noise and facing city. Toilet is smelly, something that need a lot of cleaning with chemicals or so

For hotel with 3 stars, it surely need improvement. The bed and curtain smell dusty, carpet on the hallway so dirty, the staff doesn't pick up the calls. We got the room with promo price so yeah, can't say much.

Lost my polo shirt”
I booked Scarlet hotel several times due to its strategic location in Dago. I can compromise everything else due to its location. But during my last stay I was totally disappointed when I realized that I Iost my favorite Nike Polo Shirt in Scarlet, 2 months after my stay !! I remembered at that time that I was looking for my shirt that I used previous day that I put on the shelf rack. But I couldnt find it. I thought that the room service had folded somewhere then I completely forgotten to search further due to my activities. Just recently I was looking for my shirt and I remembered that last time I used was in Scarlet Bandung. I tried to call the hotel number but nobody picked up the phone. I hope Scarlet management takes this incident seriously that either your room service or the bed sheet team deliberately took my shirt from the shelf and disappeared it ! Good bye Scarlet!

Room, ok! Facilities, not ok!”
The room space was remaklable for me who travelled with family. But it smelled poor. We needed to buy parfume for it and the bathroom. It was smell poor, too. Toilet was broke. We needed to flash manually. There were no spoons for cups to drink tea or coffee. One bed cover was torn and had several holes. The carpet in the hall looks dirty, need to be vacuum. Also the chair at the side of the front door. The food taste ok but need to have more variations

Bad maintenance”
I arrived very late at night, the receptionist were very friendly but she didnt wear masks. They gave a us a room on the second floor. The room felt dusty, everything was moldy and the floor of the bathroom was nasty. There was bed bugs under the sheets. So we ask for the bed to be vaccum. They claimed that they dont have a vaccum for beds, so they asks if we want to to switch the rooms. We ended up changing the rooms, and they moved us to the 3rd floor. I asked for facial tissue and extra towels, they gave us tissues without a box or any plates. They handed me the tissue after waiting for about 1 hour. When i first got to the hotel back when it was just opened, it was one of my favorite hotel. But now i realize that there was no maintenance in this hotel. I also felt like, They are short on staff. So i hope the hotel increase their maintenance.

Rundown Hotel”
Old, rundown hotel. The lobby is dark and the carpet in the hallway is so dirty and old. When we enter the room, the floor is dirty. And in the bed we found some hair strand, strongly indicated that the room wasnt properly cleaned and the linen were not changed between guests. There were no towels, we had to call ro room service. 4 towels delivered, and one of them had a big hole in the middle and the color was so runned off. If you get a room facing the street, your misery is complete. The traffic sound is so loud, plus a live music nearby. We can't sleep all night. On the plus side, we got a room with 2 double beds so it fits 4 persons. Its rare to find this room config.

Old Hotel with unmaintained facility”
The hotel is like not beong used for 10 years. Bedroom and bathroom are dirty, dusty, and first check in the AC is not cold at all and then move to other room. Hotel staffs seems very limited, so when you call the receptionist, it take some times to be picked up. Not recommended at all. The only positive thing about this hotel is good location.

I got bad experience in that hotel. Capet in corridor is very dirty, Bathroom cleanliness is very poor, not cleaned properly by they attendant, linen in the bed room not change with the new one and still bad smell. I do not want back at that hotel !

Small hotel with big smile!”
we stayed there 3 nights with 3 small children. the hotel staffs were very friendly and the room was cozy. even though there was no big facilities like gym or pool, it still can accommodate our needs very well. the room comes with 3-day free breakfast and many complimentary items-snacks and water bottle. they even gave us a complimentary buffet dinner for 2. it definitely worth your money! if we come to bandung again, we definitely choose this hotel! thanks scarlet dago hotel..

we stayed at the scarlet dago hotel during my children holiday, the hotel is not quite big but very warm and cozy. my children were very happy with room since we did not have to stay in separate room. they also provide very wide range of breakfast choice, so i did not have difficulties to provide breakfast for my children since they have very different taste of food. the staff are also very helpful

The hotel is located within walking distance to a few FOs. The staff are friendly and can speak English quite well. Breakfast was really good with quite a variety of dishes. The room is big with 1 king and 1 queen-size beds, extremely clean and has modern furnishings. It's big enough for a family of 4. After a long day of shopping and sightseeing, it's nice to go back to a cosy room for a good rest. Scarlet Dago is highly recommended for it's reasonable price, good location and good service.

Spacious rooms, wonderful service!”
I was travelling in a group of 4 and we were all pleasantly surprised with the Superior room we got. Not many hotels cater for guests that number more than 2 or 3 people. The room was spacious, with 2 comfortable queen-sized beds and there was free wifi! We were also fairly happy with the location as it was near mcdonalds, a couple of nice cafes and jazz bars, and there was also a 24hr minimart nearby (in case we got hungry in the middle of the night.) The staff were all very polite and helpful and always smiling. The breakfast spread was decent as well, with local fare as well as the usual bread and egg station. If there was something I think the hotel could improve on, it would be the toilet. It was slightly small and all that separates the shower and the area where the beds are, is a wall mostly made up of transparent glass. So, do remember to roll down the blinds before you take a shower! Other than that, i think Scarlet Dago Hotel is a good place to stay, especially if you're travelling with family or in a group.

Great hotel with strategic location”
Our stay in Scarlet Dago was very exciting. The staff there have been very helpful in assisting all our requests. The hotel is modern looking and have a nice ambient. Cleanliness of the room is good although there's room for improvement. We had our breakfast throughout our stay there, and the food spread was good despite the taste was just okay. We heard from the locals that this hotel is a favorite among Malaysian artists when they came to Bandung, although we couldn't verify that claim ourselves during our stay.. perhaps not the right timing. Overall, we are happy with our stay there and we believe that this hotel was a value for our money.

I visit Bandung several times a year for business and have stayed in several independent or small-chain hotels in Bandung. This is among the better ones I've stayed in in this price range, but definitely not at the top. The Scarlet Dago is a decent hotel, new, clean, with very friendly service, and in a good location ... but it's nothing special. The rooms are nice, but my biggest complaint is that the breakfast is consistently mediocre -- whether you want Western or local fare, it will be rather greasy. All my colleagues who have stayed here have the same complaint. Other similarly-priced hotels I've stayed in in Bandung tend to have similar items on their breakfast buffets, but the quality and preparation of the food has been consistently better elsewhere. This was my third time staying at this hotel and I'll keep staying there because the location is very convenient for me, but there's now a new hotel being built across the street, and I can't wait to try that one....
