Love everything at the hotel. So new and clean. Staff speaks excellent English. Room is bigger than normal Japanese hotel. Only walking distance from Takayama station. Will definitely want to go back and stay there ❤️

We’ve stayed in a Superior Twin Room for 3 nights, and we’ve enjoyed the experience immensely! Room The room is big by Japan standards, and the bathroom is huge and airy. Amenities provided are top notch. Iron, Ironing Board, Fabric Freshener, Hair Dryer and Curler are provided in the Room. It is only missing a Luggage Rack - though we’ll still give a 10/10 as the room is very comfortable. Staff Staff were polite, warm and meticulous. They were able to converse in English effectively, which is a huge plus point for International Travellers. Breakfast While the variety offered is limited, it was delicious. We loved how the hotel incorporated ingredients from local sources in their dishes, such as the miso soup and onigiri. The coffee served here was the holy grail. Conclusion If you’re still thinking whether to book a stay here, don’t hesitate. As it’s a small boutique hotel with 12 rooms, they sell out fast. And if your Budget permits, book the bigger rooms. :)

Fabulous boutique accommodation”
Cannot rate this place highly enough. Small room, but clean, warm and comfortable and in the perfect location to explore the area, from shops to shrines to eateries. All toiletries provided and met our needs. The staff were friendly and helpful always. The breakfast was included and was delicious, varied and nutritious. Bonus that the cafe was open til late for beers and the best smoked edamame. Would definitely return.

This boutique hotel has surprisingly comfortable room and bathroom. It is conveniently located right by the Takayama station and walkable distance to most sightseeing locations in town. Hotel has super friendly English speaking staff.

Lovely boutique hotel in excellent location”
eph Takayama is a great place to stay if you're visiting Takayama. Located just a few minutes on foot from the JR train station/Nohi bus station, it's super convenient. The room was very clean, staff most helpful and the breakfast was really great. It's nice to have access to the cafe for a cuppa when we get back from a day out. On our floor was a water dispenser and a washer/dryer, which was very much appreciated. Maybe they're available on every floor. One tip: The hotel is not well signed - look out for Hids' cafe & bar, and the half-curtains next to it. The entrance is behind those half curtains.

A small hotel with their own coffee sop ”
I stayed for a night at this hotel. The room is nice. The location is good, near train & bus station. And also can walk to the Takayama old town with in 8 mins. The breakfast at the coffee shop is great

Nice boutique hotel near JR station ”
Location is clean and very accessible, however as it is a boutique hotel, there’s no parking facilities and you will have to find nearby public parking. Breakfast options is limited and provided in a brunch style serving.
