The apartment’s situated near the metro. It’s near to the bus stand for the direct bus to the airport, just next to a shopping mall too. The moment you reached the apartment, you’re greeted by a warm welcome by the receptionist staff. They’re so professional and certainly so helpful, and yeah the whole building right from the lobby to the apartment smells really nice too. The apartment/room can never be more perfect. Definitely one of the best apartment I’ve stayed in around the world! It’s clean, neat and modern just the way I like my room to be! The view of the street from just outside the balcony is breathtaking. Will never stop praising and would certainly recommend this apartment with the rest of my friends. Looking forward to a stay in another Eric Vokel around the world they may have it!

Great alternative to staying in a hotel room”
my husband, my 9-year-old son and i stayed at the eric vökel gran via suites in barcelona, in the first week of july. we arrived at the suites after a 15 minute taxi ride (26 euros) from the airport. we were warmly welcomed by alex, one of the receptionists, who informed us that although we had booked a 2-bedroom apartment he could "upgrade" us to the 3-bedroom penthouse suite (at no extra cost). the penthouse (on the 8th floor of a fully renovated 110 year old traditional spanish building, was impeccable: very clean, stylishly furnished, very comfortable, with 2 terraces with a great view of the city (specially the sagrada familia in a distance), 2 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen (nespresso machine, microwave,dishwasher with liquid), iron & ironing board, washingmachine and washingpowder. the location was also to our liking as it was not in the very overcrowded touristic quarters but instead gave us an opportunity to experience the "real" barcelona. only within a couple of minutes walking distance is the plaza espanya where one: -can get on the metro and reach all touristic attractions within minutes. -like to visit the fira, font montjuic and the national museum. -can find numerous options for eating out and shopping. overall we were very satisfied with our stay at the eric vökel and felt that it was a great alternative to staying at a hotel.

Very nice suites with friendly and helpful staff”
my wife and i stayed in eric vokel gran via suites on our honeymoon and we enjoyed every moment in it. the suite has two bedrooms, both spacious and clean, and we picked the one facing the street and with lots of sunlight to stay in (a perfect choice for a group of 2 couples sharing a suites). it is just a minute away from the closest metro station (rocafort) and a 5-min walk from another larger metro station (espana) which links 2 or 3 metro lines - so very good locaion. there are some nice restaurants/cafes nearby so we didn't have to worry about breakfast. it was also very nice of the host to send us a complimentary bottle of sparking wine when they knew we were on honeymoon. i would definitely recommend my friends to stay here if they are to travel to barcelona!

Amazing stylish apartments at the central location”
Stylish, very clean & central apartments! Located next to the metro stop (Rocafort), which makes it easy and stress free to access any part of Barcelona within minutes. Our apartment had great top floor views with big balconies keeping us entertained at night time watching the world go by. The staff was incredibly helpful - gave us good tips where to eat with the locals, printed tickets when we needed it and even ordered us a takeaway as we couldn't speak Spanish! As we checked out yesterday and our flight was not due until 21pm, we left our luggages at the storage room with no problems and picked them up before heading towards our bus stop at Pl. Espanya (again, minutes away from the hotel). We will be coming back to Barcelona soon and will definitely be choosing Eric Vokel Apartments! Right on Gran Via at Rocaford TMB station. The suite has very friendly and helpful staff. Our room faces the back and it is nice and quiet overall except we can hear people from upstairs walking at night. But that is norm in all hotels and apartments we stayed in. Very convenient location.

the best apartment we've stayed ever!”
every time my husband and i travel, we make it a point to stay in apartments designed by an interior designer. we are a couple who appreciates being surrounded by nice things. and of all the apartments we've stayed, i can say eric vokel is the best. from the choice of living room furniture, upscale beddings, bathroom essentials (which i am privy of), kitchen appliances, fast wi-fi, reception and self-check in machine (who would have thought of that) . true enough, he says that his apartments were designed as if it was his own. all the comfort one would ask for, it's there. and one special touch i like is the cleaning kit you get. kudos too to its housekeeping staff for keeping the apartment well maintained. everything is spotlessly clean, no chipped plates or cups. no watermarks on their utensils. pots and pans looked like they've been only used once. " i don't have to use my clorox wipes after all" downside: the apartment is so comfortable and nice that you wouldn't want to go sightseeing anymore.

the hotel is located about 20 minutes from the airport, right on the gran via. excellent location, 50m to metro station. the staff was very warm and helpful. room was big and nicely equipped like an apartment hotel, i had a private backyard. will definitely come back next time!

stayed several days with colleagues during MWC 2013; Eric Vokel is quite convenient to reach downtown and MWC. Food is ok, room is satisfied as you could choose smoking floor or not. Next year might take a chance to stay @ Eric Vokel boutique apartment basis on the very good experience this year.

We appreciated a lot our stay at Gran Via Suites (very clean and quiet place). The metro is at the corner of the street and we were a few blocks away from Plaça Espanaya. The staff was very kind and helpful.

This was our 3rd stay at Erik Vokel Gran Via and it was fabulous again! The apartment was clean, spacious, very well equipped and in an ideal location for access from airport and into the city. We will definitely be back.

Excellent value for money ”
Pros: - Great location, right next to Rocafort metro, close to supermarkets, cafes and restaurants, and 10 minutes from Arenas Barcelona, a very nice shopping centre with viewing platform. Also within 20 minutes walk from Font Magica and La Ramblas. - Clean, modern, stylish apartment with good wifi, dishwasher, washer dryer, safe, coffee maker, large fridge freezer, TV with Disney Channel for kids, effective air con. - Unlimited free soaps, oil, ketchup, tea and coffee come in handy. - Safe and secure apartments on a large main road that also felt very safe. - Staff at reception spoke excellent English and were available from 8am to 1am during our stay in August (usual working hours are 8-6). Cons: - Different types of apartment so make sure you know what you're getting. I thought I booked a 2 bed apartment that would have a terrace. The second bedroom was actually a nook that just fit a single bed and there was no terrace. - There was no kettle in the apartment and although I eventually got one the next day, I had to ask three times for it and the staff did not seem particularly apologetic about it. - The sound insulation is not great. You will hear movement of people in apartments next to and above you. It was not too bad for us as it was just in the evenings and then we went to bed but if you want absolute quiet then be aware. - Staff are friendly but also rather nonchalant (see kettle problem above). The cleaning staff accidentally took one of our pillow protectors that we brought from home. When I told reception they said they would leave a note and let me know if they find it. No apology, no attempt to look for it and inevitably they did not manage to locate it before we left. - Only dinnerware and cutlery for 4 people and no bowls (cereal had to be eaten out of glasses or cups which the kids at least enjoyed!) Great hotel like staying at home! ”
The apartment is really nice and I love it! The sofa is great, the washroom is clean and the bed is extremely comfortable. The most important things is the open kitchen. It has all the things I need and I can use it to make breakfast and dinner everyday. I really love that! It location is good enough. It's just next to a train station and also the areobus station. Although its relatively far from the centre but I think it's ok and I can have a better quiet sleeping environment. Thanks Alex for helping me to do the check in even I arrived at night. He is nice and helpful. Also thanks for all the staffs for giving me the great travel experience. I definitely will stay here if I have chance to visit Barcelona again!

Good location, big apartments, value for money”
Eric Vokel is the first apartment I've stayed at in a foreign city and it proved highly convenient to stay in an apartment-type lodging, given that I was with my family and we had a lot of luggage. It was around a 20-minute walk to La Rambla and just a few steps away from the train station if you're not too keen on walking. The apartment's interior was comfortable and quite spacious - it has a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom and a bedroom. Add to that, their staff were very friendly. One of them was very patient in giving us directions to places and even assisted us when we were buying our train tickets.

We have very good stay at this apartment hotel. Suites has complete facilities for family stay. Position of hotel is very good and access to city center, shopping centers and beaches is very easy by bus , metro and also by bike! Great apartment ”
Pros: Location is great, 2 mins walk to subway Rocaford station. We are a family of 6 n the rooms are of good size, clean & modern decoration. We take subway to catalunya which takes around 5-8 mins. Direct sunway line, no transfer required. One night we even ordered in pizza. Apartment comes with a nice kitchen, with oven n microwave. Pots n pans also provided. Hotel even help to arrange a 6 sweater taxi to the airport for Eur32 Cons: The lift is beautiful but small. Took us 3 trips to transport all our bags up to the room. Not much amenities provided. Only a bath gel n bar of soap. Overall good value. My family all love the room.
