Great location and nice hotel”
Very pleasant hotel. Spacious room with good aircon and bathroom. Location is great. Pretty much right near the heart of where you’d want to be as a tourist. Room could have done with a fridge. Tip: don’t get your washing laundry done there. We had a small bag of clothes done. Although they were delivered immaculately folded and ironed but cost a surprising fortune of £45 :O

Ok for short stay”
Hotel has good location (150 m to metro station) and staff is friendly and helpful, but building is outdated and room disposition is not convenient. Big entre ( but without a possibility at least to hang your jacket), room with few shelves instead a wardrobe; safe - but it didnt work as probably bateri to weak.

The cleaning personnell is super noisy, there is no sound isolation between rooms, corridors or street. My room had a gap in it where I could see into my neighbors room and vice-versa. Good location, but value for money is very poor.

Our Stay at the Laietana Palace Hotel”
We loved the hotel. It was very clean and spacious. The rooms were very large and the hotel staff were friendly and informative. The location was great. For a five star hotel the price was very inexpensive for Europe. Very close to the metro. Easy to get to the hotel from the airport. Easy walking to all the points of interest. We could walk from the hotel to all the points of interest. The Barri Gotic district, Ribera and La Rambla. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back. We loved Barcelona and this hotel. No regrets what so ever.

Good location, good rooms, friendly staff”
I stayed with my wife and 6 mo old boy. We had stayed at another hotel in the exiemple district and wanted something closer to other sights. Very pleased with our decision. The hotel is clean, rooms a bit small but nothing not shown in the photos. Looks recently remodeled. Overall it's a pretty good value for the money, especially considering the alternatives for real hotel rooms (non hostels) in that area of town. The area has very close proximity to the Jaume I metro stop which is good for quick transfers to out of Barcelona sites and for short trips across town or to the beach.

We stayed 5 nights here. This was best location you can think of in Barcelona. Hotel staff was average Spanish people means not so friendly but with the location I really do not need to spend time in the hotel so all is good and I would come back and I would recommend to my friend.

Great location with lots of great restaurants around. Must try Senyor Parellada and Bilbao Berria. Both really great restaurants accross the road. The actual hotel room is a bit small though but not too bad

perfect location, basic but clean and comfortable ”
I'd recommend this hotel to anyone. Great location, very close to attractions and restaurants. The staff seemed a bit confused but that was because they were using a temporary front desk during renovations. Room was close to the street so a bit noisy but didn't keep us awake.

Great location, friendly staff!”
I really enjoyed my stay! The staff was very friendly and helpful - from arrival to departure. They gave me a great room, with a view of the cathedral, and were always willing to help me: be it with information, printing documents, etc. What's great about the location of the hotel (for tourists) is the fact that you are one block away from one of the official stops for the city tour busses. You are also walking distance from the beach front with its restaurants. VERY convenient!

Very central location, good service”
I have been surprised about the lack of breakfast. I know I have booked this hotel with a 15% reduction, but frankly I do not think it is correct to propose it at this price without a breakfast. Or a hotel promotes itself with attractive rates, but keeps all services included therein, or it does not promote at all. Personally, I would frankly prefer to pay 15% more and have a breakfast rather than to have this surprise once in the place.

WiFi needs to be improved highly, it is not workable at the moment. If you need internet to work, then forget about this hotel and look somewhere else. Rest is fine.

Great location, not the four star experience advertised”
Pros: location is great - close for walking to most places and easy train access to further away destinations Cons: - better value around for the price - self promoted 4 star rating is close to an all out lie, not sure how it is justified - first room allocated had either rising damp or past flooding - bathroom door was swollen with damp so bad that it was not able to be closed. Requested and did receive an alternate, smaller room. The front desk knew what I was talking about immediately, which makes me wonder why they chose to try and exploit the good will of their guests. - phone in both rooms were also broken so couldn't contact reception - fridge in second room broken - toiletries one small bottle of shower gel and lotion, packet of tissues and one small bar of opened soap for 2 people. This is not acceptable for a four star establishment. I would have expected at least one for each person and shampoo. Cleanliness: there was a hair on the toilet seat when we first arrived.

Comfortable”
Excellent - just two things let it down. 1.) No mattress protector on the bed! Not sure about anyone else but I don't fancy having just a thin sheet to separate me from a mattress that 100's of other people have slept on. 2) We had to leave for the airport early so checked out the night prior. Unfortunately the staff member failed to charge us for our last nights City Tax which meant we were delayed the next morning anyway because rather than just hand our room card back, we had to sort out another payment.

Great location ”
Despite the perfect location and the 4 stars that this hotel claims we wouldn't recommend it. It gives you a bed and a bathroom but that's pretty much it. Good things: Some of the hotel staff were very helpful with guiding and so on. Bad things: The air conditioning in our room didn't work apart from it being an expensive and loud fan. The electrical outlets were mostly functioning, but sometimes lamps flashed when unplugging for instance a cell phone charger and in the bathroom some of the protecting plastic around the outlet was gone... The bathroom was probably very nice back in the 90s when it probably last was renovated, but now water taps and so on were replaced and various pipes were plugged here and there and it all was a real mess from what looked like emergency repairs and quick fixes. Bad luck: Two mornings we woke up accompanied by workers using pneumatic drills right outside the window. Can't blaim the hotel for that though.

A disappointment”
the hotel is on one of the busiest streets in the gothic area meaning lots of people walking/talking, lots of traffic, police sirens, ambulance sirens..just generally lots of noise. the rooms do not have temp control so the first room (very very small) was too cold and the 2nd room(2 twin bed; great size)was very hot and overlooked the street (1st floor). if we opened the windows at night, it was extremely loud. i do not feel it was worth what i paid for the room. on the upside, the staff was more than accommodating. they were great, despite the disappointing rooms.

4nights stay. Good location, 5mins less walk to Jaume metro. A stroll away to gothic, la rambla, el born & port. Restaurants and mini market nearby. Room was slightly stuffy, musty smell but problem solved with open windows. Comfy pillows and bathroom ok. Cosy double room. No kettle in room but tea provided at lobby. Just the musty smell of the room and lobby was a slight discomfort. Hopefully hotel could fix this
