9-min walk to grocery stores, 3-min walk to U7 Möckernbrücke station. No elevator and kitchen, Wi-Fi was malfunctioned usually.

Unsafe for women and the staff can throw out your luggage from the lockers anytime without notice”
Extremely bad experience! Would not recommend to anyone There was a man in our room with 4 girls who kept making everyone uncomfortable with his weird personal remarks. After complaining, the staff changed his room but let him come to the room to collect his luggage by himself. All 4 of us were so scared the whole night. The management couldnt do the bare minimum of accompanying him to get his bag. The next day the staff just broke my lock and kept all my luggage in a garbage bag. They said they thought it was someone else's. With only 2 beds and 2 lockers in that part, they didnt even bother to call me once to confirm if thats my luggage. When I came back at midnight I had to spent an hour with the staff to gather my stuff to go to sleep. When I talked to the manager he was absolutely rude and completely unaware of what is happening in his own hostel. He kept explaining all the irrelevant details to make up for his lack of awareness of his business. He was deeply unapologetic about everything from the harasser to handling my luggage so irresponsibly. The only thing he was proud of and he thought made up for everything was giving me a replacement lock, for the lock they broke!!

Great atmosphere, Great staff, Great time!”
A great place to stay for my first night in Berlin. The staff is very welcoming, upon check in they'll sit down with you and find out what you're interested in doing while you're in Berlin. Then they'll mark a bunch of things on map for you. The hostel is right next to a subway station, which makes getting around Berlin very easy. Also, there are a lot of young people so if you're a lone traveler like I was you won't have a hard time meeting people to go out and do things with. There's a small bar/common area where people often hang out before they go out. I'm pretty sure the hostal hosts a bike tour and other events as well. As I was only there for one night I ended up going out with a few people I met and some of the hostel staff for drinks and had a great time that night. Wish I would have planned to stay longer than one night but oh well, I'll just have to come back some time.

Amazingly comfortable, watch your cell phone”
I spent a week at Grand Hostel Berlin while attending Berlinale. No bunk beds is a huge plus. The room was very spacious for 7 seven people. There's a nice bar in the lobby and it's very easy to meet fellow travelers. While lockers are provided in the rooms, I spoke to a few people who were robbed. Not out of the norm for hostels, but worth saying.

Exceptional”
Staff was awesome and always ready to help, recommend places to it. There's no elevator, so if you're on the third floor, it's a hike for you. Library bar was cool atmosphere. Rooms were spacious and clean, single beds were great, lockers were good. Breakfast was pretty expensive though for what you get, though it is a buffet. Hostel was very big, so it felt harder to really meet people because compared to the amount of people staying there, bar area was very small. Just felt too Grand. But cool place, have to take the metro everywhere, but that's also because Berlin is huge

the price is competitive is the most important for me the staffs of the hostel are really friendly and nice. upon checking in, they will introduce the neighbor near the hostel and tell you what must see and do in berlin. the breakfast in the hostel is really good. you will enjoy it.

first time in a hostel dorm in a long while and was extremely surprised how clean, quiet, secure and friendly the hostel is. i wil choose to stay here the next time i am in berlin instead of a hotel because this is such a great value compared to the other hostels in europe. highly recommend this place.

Everyone who works here is friendly and helpful and intent on making sure you enjoy Berlin. An attitude like that also translates positively to the care of the hostel and facilities. I would definitely stay here again. This is the best hostel I've stayed in!

The reception girl is very friendly and helpful, she introduced berlin attractions to us in detail on the map while we was checking in. We've booked a double room for 3 nights, the hostel is tidy and clean. Not as the Agoda description, one point to note that the city hotel tax was not included in the price we've paid via Agoda.

The staff was incredibly helpful and assisted me when I faced an unexpected travel conflict. The hostel itself was spacious with high ceilings, comfortable beds, and a nice common area. I had no problems and will highly recommend it whenever I learn someone is traveling to Berlin.

Roomy, immaculate, new hostel in classic Berlin”
Location is key in a city as big as Berlin. From the hostel you can walk to Checkpoint Charlie, the Jewish Museum, and a great spa a couple of blocks away. Clean, quiet and beautiful hostel. Definitely staying here again.
