Worth for the price”
Smooth check in process. The interior looks new and the room is so clean. Although they don't offer daily housekeeping, they do it every 3 days instead, but this is not a big issue for us, we could maintain simple cleanliness by ourselves. We got what we paid. A good choice for budget travellers.

The staff reacted fast when the water supply had problems and moved me to another hotel the same night. The room was spacious and the shower room was nice. Unfortunately the walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors talking. They provide a tea bag but no coffee.

Location is close to subway but very far from everything in Kyoto. Located in dark alley. If you plan to use the subway pass, then hotel is clean and spacious, but staff is not the most friendly.

BUGS IN ROOM. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. ”
To start things off, I am a flight attendant so I am no stranger to hotels. Upon checking in, I squished 2 bugs-1 in bathtub, another on bed. After I took a shower, I noticed many little bugs on my bed sheet. When I lifted the cover, more revealed. No, they're not bed bugs. Honestly I have no idea what they are. Yes, I had my window closed. I spoke to the staff downstairs and they swapped rooms for me and thankfully that was the end of that terror. The staff who helped me was very patient as neither of us spoke each others language but we worked it out slowly. He was very kind. WATER TEMP IS ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. Both rooms took at least 10mins each shower just to adjust the temp. It's always too hot or too cold. There is no such thing as warm. (ouch to the face when you're washing your face). Also, don't change water pressure once you E finally got an acceptable temp going cause that affects the temp too. Towels are self served as well. They have a trolley out at the front for you to help yourself in the morning. No complementary water bottles. Leaving your luggage at the lobby and locking it yourself is avail. Literally everything is self served here. Hair drier is very weak. So do give yourself time for your hair to dry or prepare to spend at least 20mins in there Even using their washroom was a huge issue. I went to pick up my luggage after I've checked out and the girl told me there's no washroom for us to use once we've checked out. Only in the rooms. To end things off on a good note, their check in and check out system is unique and self served. Minimal contact with their staff. Security for entering the building is unique as well as u have a special code to enter for door to open. But none of that is enough to make me come back or recommend anyone from coming here.

Good location as it is near to Gojo train station. Cozy and clean twin room, kind of small but good enough for 2 person. Good service to their guest as it provides free shuttle bus from Ms Kyoto Information Center to hotel before check in. But it seems not for all hotels. Guest also can store their luggage at Ms Kyoto before check in and after check out. Overall, we had a pleasant stay here.

Some walking distance from the station”
About 5-10 min walk to Gojo station, but can also take a longer walk to shijo or kyoto station. There a convenience store right opposite, guess that why there is no vending machine in the hotel. The washing machine is free to use.

Basically automatic check in, they seems like send the information before checkin but i didn't get it, so if there's no staff in the hotel, I can't do the checkin by myself, so glad i went there earlier. Nice price for stay in the downtown Kyoto. Need more plug for charging the electronic stuff. Want some bath-salt for bathtub, will be very nice. Room is enough for people without big luggage. Free laundry but only one. anyway, it will be worth trying.

Near to subway. Value for money for clean and moderate size room. Easy and secure check in/out procedure. You hv to leave your luggage at their Kyoto Info ctr if you want to go somewhere b4 check in or after check out but not at your hotel. There is no intrest place around.

This hotel is a few minutes of walking to a metro and bus station. A convenient store is just across the street so I can grab a coffee and a bun in the morning for breakfast. The room is new and clean.

The hotel is very clean and hassle-free check-in and check-out. It’s about 5mins to the nearest subway, and 15mins to the nearest JR line and there’s a mart opposite the hotel which was convenient. Overall, it was a pleasant 4 nights.

I have made booking by stating clearly I am booking for a family of 4 (2 kids 9 and 12 years old). I was given smallest room where I had problem sleeping with 4 of us. I was told the hotel contacted me via email to increase addition room. Again I was told the mistake was by Agoda by the hotel Staff.

Value for the money was excellent! Rooms are clean and spacious. There’s also laundry which is a plus but I didn’t get to use it because there was always someone else doing their laundry. The check in was complicated though... Thankfully there was an attendant working there at that time. We never received any passcode to get into the building so if nobody worked there, then we would have been screwed. So make sure you check in not too late or else there won’t be a way to get in

There is no receptionist, they email you a code to get into the building and check in info on the day of your arrival. This email went to my junk folder but luckily I had checked it. This place was also not on google maps. There is no cleaning service and no tea/coffee etc provided in the room. The hotel was very clean and modern, we had enough space in our room to open our bags and there was a free laundry machine. About a 15 min walk to Kyoto station , plenty of shops and restaurants near by.

No one ever came to clean our room or even take the trash... We had to use convenience store bags for trash since the one small bin that was provided became too full. Our room was one of the few that did NOT have the “cleaning not required” sign, yet the cleaning staff failed to show up even once... To our surprise, they also added a “kyoto tax” that we had to pay upon arrival! I don’t recall reading about that anywhere.... created a negative first impression for sure. The location wasn’t extremely inconvenient, but there are better options. The nightly price was very reasonable and it was nice that laundry facilities were provided. (but the clothing dryer did not work at all...) Would NOT recommend.
