Old Hotel”
we spent one night. the room is old and you could hear people talk outside your room. The sheet seemed old. The breakfast was fairly good with only a few menus on the buffet. Too bad they don't have egg station. The parking is quite small, but the security will take care of your car. So you need to be patient while they deliver your car or to free your car from other cars behind yours

Odd hotel, need upgrading”
Grand Orchid is cheap in price, but that is then also what you get. Lobby not nice. Staff so-so. Parking terrible. Rooms reasonable. But not a hotel where you get thrilled to go to.

A very good and reliable hotel!”
It was a pleasure to return to Grand Orchid in Solo. Tired and weary, but everything was taken care of with perfect service so we didn't have to worry about anything. The room was situated on 3rd floor with a balcony towards the inner garden. We knew from our previous stay it was safe even during an earthquake, at least as safe as can be expected. It was nice to have a shower and relax after the journey. We ordered ayam (baked & goreng) with nasi putih and gado gado sauce on the side. The food was of high quality, and we stuck to the same diet throughout our stay. An important feature is the possibility to book good taxi-reides or a mini bus. It functioned flawlessly and to a very good price. The hotel also provides change to a good rate, and you need not be afraid to leave your luggage in the lobby if you are going out for a final look at Solo before check-out. It is all well taken care of. I truly wish we could have stayed longer. Next time, we will.

Well-located hotel with decent services”
I spent a night in Grand Orchid Hotel. When I first entered the room, I was pleased to find the room was clean, quite large in size, and even had a sofa where we could lay down comfortably while enjoying TV cable shows. What really excited me was the fact that the hotel is located in the centralof the city, where you can find near by good foods and places to visit.

A recommended hotel which is clean and tidy enough, if it is just for taking a rest and sleep. ”
The hotel is in the middle of the city. Close to Sriwedari or Kraton or any other cultural heritate sites. It is close to restaurants or street foods stalls. The hotel is also close to Benteng Trade Center and Pusat Grosir Solo. Easy access by any means of transportation such as taxi, Go-Car or becak. Parking lot is not big but enough. But most importantly is that the hotel staff is really educated for holding great values such as honesty, integrity and customer support oriented.

Lovely hotel and service with a smile”
The stay was short only for 2 nights and 3 days. The staff were pleasant and respond quickly to your requests. We only took breakfast at the hotel and I suggest change the bread to wholemeal rather than white sweet. The bath towel was too small for adults. Otherwise for the price it is a raesonably good hotel, good location with good staff. Solo has its charm.We had a great time at Pasar Klewer and Kampong Lowayen.

We stay in Superior Room which is in old building as other room type in new building is full. But after entering the room, we are satisfied. Room is spacious, clean & comfy (very sure other rooms in new building are higher score).... The serious problem of this hotel is car parking. If you come to Solo driving your own car, stay at Novotel or Ibis just beside this hotel will be better.... but if you don't bring your own car, this hotel IS RECOMMENDED.

Grand Orchid is located in downtown, and easy to reach interesting spots in the city. The only thing less about this hotel is about the lack of parking area. Whenever you're taking on a car, it is quite difficult to get a spot in the hotel, specially when there are lots of visitors.

comfort, affordable hotel in the best location”
I enjoy stay in this hotel..the location is very good, just walk 1 minute to slamet riyadi street and luwes market. If you want to go to mall, there are 2 malls close: solo grandmall and paragon,, only 5 minutes by traditional becak. The front office staf is nice. If you want to eat, in front of the hotel there is a nice padang resto. Even the room i stay is quite old, all the things run well.

thanks much to agoda that has upgraded our room from superior to president suite for free. surprised to jump up in the highest although has been renovated, the hotel partly is still the old building. the facilities for the one who likes traveling and who only want the hotel just for the night sleep, this hotel is okay. but for the one who wants to enjoy the leisure at the hotel, i suggest you to choose the sultan hotel. i didn't see the swimming pool and i didn't ask about that. since i got president suite with the superior price, i was very satisfied.

Simple Hotel with a good price. Quite Clean and Comfy. Near shopping malls, easy to go around Solo Tourist attraction by Public Transportation. Bfast was OK. Design a bit old but all fittings were at good shape.
