I stayed for 4 nights. The room was very clean, spacious (to my standards). I got everything I wanted and enjoyed a very comfortable stay. No problems / issues. Supportive staff. Perfect location. When I come next time, this will be my first option to check.

The single room where I stayed was spacious enough and the bed was so comfy I was able to have a good sleep every night. The hotel staff were nice and attentive and the chambermaids nice and polite. The hotel is located right across from a bus depot but it was quiet in the room, which must be a soundproof one, I'd say. The bus stop is just a 5-second walk away from the hotel, from where you can very easily get around in the city of Kyoto by bus! I enjoyed soaking in the big bath every evening, which was a bonus!

Moving about in Kyoto”
Kyoto has lonely two subway lines North-South and East-West. For someone having visited other cities like Osaka, Tokyo or Kobe that looks perhaps inconvenient but Kobe has a great bus network. Buy a pass that will cover bus and subway. The Green Rich Hotel is a 10 minutes walk from the Kyoto Station, off center but next to the bus depot. So it is very easy to go everywhere.

The price was average. But I had to paid for area tax which I didn't understand. There is a hot spring with a capacity of about 10 people. There are bus stop in front of the hotel is convenient. We can walk to Kyoto station about 15 miniutes. The staffs are quite enthusiastic and open-armed. They accept to keep my lugguge after I checked out. I was satified.

Nice hotel but the staff called us at 10.30 pm when we already slept”
Hotel was nice and i liked the facilities. We extended for one more night and when we already slept, the hotel staff called us at 10.30 pm just to tell us that we need to pay the tourist tax (¥200). We think that is very rude, they could have told us that the next day or leave a letter in our room but calling us when we already slept???! Moreover, the room was only made for one person eventhough the hotel was very empty. So we kind of felt unwelcomed

Nice and very clean hotel but on the wrong side of the fun and beautiful Kyoto. We had to walk a lot to find good restaurants. It’s 15 minutes walk from Kyoto station so if you have to catch a train that’s ok.
