Great staff, good location and comfortable rooms”

We stayed 4 nights at Guesthouse Sendo and really enjoyed it! The staff was really friendly and helpful. The location is great, near a subway station and a bus stop that connects to all the attractions of Kyoto. We slept in the mix-dorm, in bunk beds that were pretty comfortable. There are 2 shared showers available and a well-equiped kitchen. Even breakfast is included. You can rent bikes too! Highly recommended hotel in Kyoto !

Guest house sendo located very strategic location, the staff are very nice and friendly, not hard to find the hostel. Hostel is good and comfortable.

Recommended for budget trip”

Our stay in Guest house sendo were great.Good location because very nearby to subway station(Saiin).Convenient store is just nearly and there are lots of restaurant,shopping around the corner. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Clean toilet and room, breakfast provided. Basically all Japanese are very polite, friendly , and helpful although they are not very good in English but still able to communicate.Recommended.

Great place, wish I could have stayed there the whole of my time in Kyoto. Only issue was the lack of secure storage & space to put luggage.

Cute guesthouse where you get 2 pieces of toast and jam for breakfast. It has a quite girly design so boys beware :) Staff is very friendly (and the cutest Japanese girls I'v ever seen). The one bad thing is that being quiet after 23h is not promoted as some walls are very thin and you can hear people talking at night in the next room. The price is ok.

Was really nice. The manager is amazing! The beds are ok. This place has funky decorations! What is really nice ks that there is a kitchen so you can cook. I recommend it, it is cheap, well located, and honestly I'd be willing to go there again even if some other hostels are a few yen cheaper. The only con: internet connection is bad, even when there is no one in the place.

Friendly and convenient”

We arrived before check in so we left our luggage there. The location is easy to find and there are front desk staff from 9am -9pm. We checked out before 9am so as instructed we left the keys by the front desk. The shower rooms were shared and it was more spacious than I expected. There are two slices of bread included for breakfast with jam and butter in the fridge. Overall good experience!

DA BED, WHY DA BED?!”

The bed at night really makes some "sweeky" sound when you move around. It really annoys me sometimes. The bunker was quite old and the paint and style of the room looks 'childish' more like bedrooms for kindergarten

cosy hostel with clean toilets”

Booked a double bunk type bed which we thought was a double decker. But to our surprise, it was actually a 1.5 single bed which would have been tight for us. Thankfully, staff helped us to get a double decker instead such that our stay was pleasant. Would suggest that the pictures pn e website for double type bunk bed be more accurate going forward.

Sendo is a vey pleasant place to stay. Biggest sellingpoint is the very friendly and helpfull english speaking staff. Hospitabilaty in everery sense. definitly recommended.
