I'm in love with Nishijin!”
Nishijin is a quiet place which located far from Kyoto town. Kingyoya guesthouse surrounded by residential district, I found a piece of calm there and my one-day trip @ Nishijin is my favourite day among my 6 days trip in Kansai. I will definitely return to Kyoto and stay at Kingyoya again. Everything is awesome in Kingyoya, however if you stay during Winter, there will be a bit cold which the heater didn't help much but I'm definitely ok on the warm blanket : ) Btw, the breakfast is super awesome which you definitely don't want to miss it <3

Relax at Kingyoya”
I really enjoyed staying this Machiya(Old style house).I've read some Japanese blogger's recommend to stay Kingyoya in Kyoto.I know some Machiya are noizy at night but at Kingyoya it was so silent to listen rain drop.

Like a warm home”
Very clean and large room. The house is beautiful. Very sad I didn’t have much time to view around the house. The host is nice and he made very good breakfast. The location is a bit far from rail station. Better check in before midnight.

Located at the center of everything. Near the temples and all. There's a nearby onsen which is great after walking and exploring whole day. The staff is very helpful, they give you a map of the nearby area so you'll have an idea what's nearby the area. Overall amazing Japanese house experiece, love it!

Exceptional”
We just left Kingyoya today and wish we had booked more time than just 3 nights. What an incredible location--close to everything, on a quiet street--and the building is just beautiful. Our room was large, spotless, and the indoor garden was gorgeous. The two fellows working here were fantastic--just so friendly and helpful. As soon as we arrived we asked about bike rentals and they were arranged almost immediately, the rental place actually dropped them off that same evening. Had no idea this could be done. This was particularly helpful as I had an injury and would've had a hard time getting around without a bike. Wish we could rate this an 11/10 but that's not an option, when we return to Kyoto we'll definitely be staying here.

Amazing Japanese house”
Its a bit far from Gion, a busy location for tourist but I enjoyed the cycling (bike from the host). The room is spacy and full facility. The host is super nice. They have a common bathroom and you must wait for your turn if the house is full of guests. Above all, you stay in a true Japanese traditional house, that really means to me!

スタッフさんの説明が分かりやすく簡潔で、好感が持てます。個室も広々、しつらいも素敵、お庭も団欒スペースも寛げました。お布団も寝心地がよく、貸してくださった湯たんぽのおかげでますます快適に眠れました。次はぜひ朝食も頂きたいです。お手洗いは結構狭く、足が長い方はぎりぎりかなと思います。

女性ゲストルームで外国のお客様が同室のとき”
三人部屋で私ともう一人が日本人、残る一人は自称17歳の韓国人。少し話したところ、かまってちゃんだとわかったので、見たい動画もあったしイヤホンをして動画に夢中の体で私は距離をおいたけど、もう一人はずっと話しかけられてた。ここ金魚屋は門限がないからしょうがないけど、0時過ぎに帰ってきて、気がついたら2時半なのに部屋の明かりをこうこうとてらされて、荷物を整理してるのか、ビニール袋をガサガサ、整理袋のジッパー開け締めなどの音がずっとしていた。アイマスクしてたけど、途中で私を起こそうとしたのか、私の寝てるベッドの木の部分をノックするみたいにカンカンカンカンと鳴らされたのには辟易した。夜中なので怒鳴るのも自分も嫌だし、我慢した。同室に日本の常識が通じない外国人がいて、その人に何をされても気にならない人向け。

安靜閒適的老房子”
本來訂的是女生宿舍房，入住時被告知因為當天只有我一人訂房，所以安排讓我住進雙人和室房較為舒適，感謝住宿方的貼心，度過非常享受的一晚。 金魚家也有提供腳踏車出租(一天500日圓)，附近地形蠻適合騎腳踏車晃晃。 隔天離開時正好下起小雨，還送了一把傘讓我使用，這趟短暫的兩天一夜之旅因為民宿人員的友善接待，感到溫暖而印象深刻。

Great atmosphere...”
The host was very friendly and the Totoro room was just what I was looking for. The shared bathroom and shower were a bit inconvenient, but it's not bad if you've experienced group living before. The tatami room was great and I was able to chat with other guests, making it a really good memory. The host also explained the surrounding facilities, which was nice. The only downside is that it's a bit far from the city center. I would definitely stay here again if I come to Kyoto next time. The breakfast was okay, not great. The soundproofing is not very good.
