Great amenities. No closet in the room, but there's a space where you could hang coats and other clothes. If you're allergic to smoke or 2nd-hand smoke, make sure you get a sure non-smoking room (instead of just a standard/deluxe room without a sure non-smoking feature in the description). I booked a standard room, but then I was given a smoking room when I arrived bcs thete was no non-smoking room available. Good thing the room had a window, or I wouldn't have survived the night, hehe. Great hotel, nonetheless.

Convenient and peaceful ”
Typical Japanese business type of rooms (like Toyoko Inn chain). Great location in between the local bus center for buses connecting to different towns/prefectures; 15min walk with luggage from JR Osaka; 4 convenience stores in the vicinity & eateries beneath the Umeda station for late night drinks/meals, and to shopping malls around Umeda. Hotel doesn’t have English maps on hand though.

Love the Catholic church beside. Along with main transport routes nearby and eateries plus 2 convenience stores. Staff are helpful, and although there ain't a lot of facilities, the comfort and value for price paid is worth it.

A train ride away from Dotonbori, staff were very helpful, and you can walk the Umeda district if you are keen for a walk. Their breakfast was alright too. I will stay again.

My friend and I stayed with Hearton Hotel Kita Umeda for 5 nights while we were having a trip in Osaka and Kyoto. Comparing to the hotels we stayed in other countries before, the room we had is a bit small for two men but somehow we understand it's quite common to have room this size in Japan. And we hope we can have our breakfast menu in English instead of asking the service staff. Except the two things above, I think the hotel is absolutely great. Extremely friendly staff, nice and clean environment, convenient location only several steps to the train station and convenient stores, and reasonable fee. I will definitely visit Hearton Hotel Kita Umeda again once I have a chance to visit Osaka again.

The Hearton Hotel Kita Umeda is located in the Umeda - Osaka Station area, one of the most convinient places in Osaka. Only 2 min walk from Nakatsu Subway Station on the Midosuji Line, and les than 10 min on foot from the main JR Osaka Station. Hankyu Umeda Station (with frequest express trains to Kyoto) is only 4 min walk away from the front door. The area to the south of the hotel is one of the most popular wining and dining areas in Osaka, with many local speciality restaurants. There are also 4 convinience stores within 1 minute walk for the lobby, so stocking up late at night is not a problem.

We loved this hotel so much that we went back again on our return to Osaka. Both times we were very impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms. Everything you need is there and everything worked including the air con. Not huge rooms, but certainly big enough with a bit of room for our luggage. Both times the rooms were quiet and comfortable and the staff were extremely helpful and spoke excellent English. They looked after our luggage following check-out until we left for the airport. Next time we are in Osaka we will not even bother looking for another hotel, but will book online again through Agoda for the Hearton Hotel Kita Umeda. Thank you for an excellent start and finish to our holiday in Japan!

Lovely hotel and comfortable room size ”
Overall I had a great 3 nights stay at Hearton Hotel Kita Umeda. Location is great as it is only 2 minutes walk to Nakatsu Station on Midosuji line, and around 10 minutes walk to JR Osaka or JR Umeda station, where many shopping malls are located. Hotel is very new and thus very comfortable to stay in. Room size is definitely acceptable, small double bed is comfortable for a solo traveller. Has rental laptops for travellers to bring back to their room for own usage. I am very pleased with my stay and will definitely go back if I visit Osaka again.

we were very pleased with our stay. the staff was more than friendly, they were extremely helpful with directions, obtaining taxis and giving directions to our taxi driver. in that we spoke no japanese, that was a huge help during our stay. the rooms were very nice, a bit small but large enough for our needs. the layout of the building was helpful. a plus also was the new catholic church next door. i would certainly recommend the hearton hotel kita umeda to any traveler interested in quality and convenience. the price was also fair for the quality of the hotel.

Nice Hotel in Umeda Station”
We stayed in Hearton Hotel Kita Umeda for our last two nights in Japan. The hotel is a little distant from Umeda station but one can get off one subway station before Umeda that is closer to the hotel. The room is small but that's what the average room in Japan is like. Umeda/Osaka station is the central hub in Osaka for shopping and food. You can easily make side trips to Kobe or Kyoto within 35 mins. Overall, our experience with Hearton Hotel Kita Umeda is pleasant.
