A very good choice in Barcelona”
We choose Hesperia Presidente for our one-week stay in Barcelona. We were very pleasantly surprised, especially with the room. It was very spacious, clean, well-equipped, with nice furniture and a big recently renovated bathroom. There was plenty of space to store things, which is important if you stay for a couple of days. WIFI worked well. The staff was nice and informative. The only drawback was the breakfast. The price for one person was 19 EUR per day – ridiculous. Because we were staying for a couple of days, we were offered a discount, but even 12 EUR per person is a bit too much. We decided to have our breakfasts elsewhere in the area. We especially recommend a little bakery El Moli Vell - great quality for not more than 5 EUR per person. As for the location, we consider it perfect. There are a lot of places that you can reach on foot, including Casa Batllo, Placa de Catalunya, La Sagrada Familia and even Camp Nou (we came back on foot after a match when buses were overcrowded). The distance from the nearest metro station is around 10-15 minutes, depending on your pace. You can also help yourself with a bus - the station is right in front of the hotel. Buses are very easy to use in Barcelona, as there are lines routes and maps on each station. Generally, we do recommend the hotel and will come back when next time in the city.

excellent location”
I stayed in this hotel several years ago and greatly enjoyed my stay. upon my return to barcelona, I booked once again at Hesperia. I found it a little less inviting than my last visit. wear and tear of the years had taken its toll. however, the location in Eixample was still perfect. far away from the tourist crowds, yet walking distance to many attractions and close to public transport. one of my favorite restaurants in barcelona, cerveceria catalana, is within walking distance, as are many gay bars and restaurants

Great Hotel in nice location”
was 5 nights with my girlfriend in the hesperia hotel. after checking out many other hotels i decided to stay at the hesperia. advantages are the good location, a clean hotel, nice style of the rooms and a great view from our 12th floor (standard room) breakfast is quiet expensive, but there are a lot of baker´s shops nearby. underground station is about 15min far away can definitely recommend this hotel

we have a lovely stay at this hotel - will not even consider other accommodation if i am ever in barcelona again. hotel is located in a great neighborhood - very safe. close to the hop-on-hop-off bus. also within walking distance of the ramblas. also ideal for shopping! zara down the road...

Comfortable and good value for money”
stayed at hesperia for 2 nights. located on diagonal avenue, about a 10 min walk from metro but bus stop is just next to hotel. quiet area especially at night , so good if you want some peace and quiet after a busy day. staff were courteous, friendly and knowledgeable.

First-class hotel in a livey location”
friendly staff, spacious rooms, central location worked perfectly for our family. comfortable beds. free wifi. a small supermarket around the corner was also very helpful. tourist sightseeing bus stops nearby. a lot of cafes and restaurants open in the afternoon and early evening. we would definitely stay in this hotel if we travelled to barcelona again.

Fantastic location! ”
My husband and I visited Barcelona as a side trip from our trip to Paris. Our room was very clean and relatively spacious (by European standards). We even had a loveseat and a decently sized coffee table! There was also free Wi-Fi, which we really appreciated. We had to pay a lot of money for Wifi in the room in our Paris hotel. The room for improvement is the user-friendliness of the toilet/shower. Showeer stall: nowhere at all to place soap, shampoo. My husband placed our soap on the floor. I thought this was unacceptable. So, I balanced a small tray between the metal bar and the tiled wall. There, our soap and shampoo precariously sat. One wrong nudge and they would fall. Also, the sliding doors of the shower stall have gaps. So, we always sprayed water onto the area outside the shower. Every day, i would wipe down the floor as it was wet.

Pleasant stay”
It's located in an upscale part of Barcelona near plenty of shops for clothes and interiors and good restos too! Not too touristy and busy. Staff was helpful. Hop on hop off bus stop is about a block away. A bit of a long walk to paseo de gracia and sagrada familia.

Exceptional”
This hotel was very good. Unfortunately, we were placed in a room facing the Avenue Diagonal and it was noisy on the Saturday night we stayed (October 21). Apparently young people congregate on the corners in the early hours of Sunday to talk, visit, etc. The voices carried up to the 7th floor. However, the front desk staff were friendly and very helpful; both daytime and evening staff. Esmeralda who worked the afternoon/evening portion was most helpful in recommending a nice local restaurant (Patron) which was within easy walking and she was also most helpful on Sunday afternoon with getting our boarding passes printed for our flight out early on Monday morning. She went well above and beyond her regular duties! Thanks, Esmeralda.

Great Hotel”
Hotel and staff were high class all the way. Staff went out of the way to help us. Rooms exceeded expectations. Would highly recommend staying there..right in the middle of shopping district and lots of fine restaurants nearby. Only drawback would be not to purchase the breakfast. The food was excellent but it was overpriced.

Decent location, nice rooms, functional hotel”
The rooms were excellent for the price. Comfortable (although not large) and well maintained. The hotel was in a nice location, with decent bus links, restaurants nearby and a thirty minute stroll into the centre. If you like running then the hotel is situated on the Diagonal road, a wide boulevard with pedestrian pavement which made an ideal place to go for a nice run.

Fantastic Location, clean and good sized room, they accommodated our request for an early check since we arrived after a 15 hour flight, the breakfast spread was very good. I fell severely ill and they immediately summoned a very competent doctor who prescribed me the necessary meds and also connected with a hospital since I required IV drips.
