Fantastic Hotel”

we loved this hotel and will stay here when back in takayama. it is run by a mother-son team. they offer both japanese & western rooms. there is a men's & women's bath but couples are able to use either one if they are unoccupied. the hotel is small (12 rooms) and an incredible japanese breakfast is included with the room. the location is perfect - about a 20 minute walk from the train station right by the old section of town.

I have a good time stayed at Takayama Park City Hotel. Breakfast and onsen are the best. It's a bit difficult to reach the hotel up on ghe hill, if you travel with big luggage.

Nice Lodge”

This is a nice lodge operated by a old lady. The location is a bit far away from railway station but you can enjoy the slience of Takayama. Most sightseeing spots are nearby this lodge. Breakfast is very good and you will enjoy with full stomach. Wifi is available. Although the rate is a bit high, it is justified with the good food and nice service.

good view room”

Carpark nearby and delicious breakfast, friendly hotel owner who can speak English. Beds are too soft which not suit my style. A short incline road and little stairs to the hotel, make us inconvenience to go up with large and heavy luggage. The path only for walk only, car can't go up.

Takayama festival time”

The hotel was well located and staff friendly. Facilities were basic, a little shabby & worn in places. Nice to have a Onsen (steam bath facilities) especially after a long day being a tourist ! Japanese style breakfast daily and was very good. Friendly reception lady.

Good”

Clean room but there is some smoke smeel. Breakfast was wonderful, it is local recommended food. Service was nice and polite.

the highlight is the breakfast. lovely japanese style breakfast. the owner could smile a bit more though. the location is fantastic. very near to the old private houses and the jinya mae morning market.

We are not impressed for this hotel and don't come back because of small room, no area around hotel and location on the hill

Overall, the stay was good. Facilities needed well in place. However, would appreciate if the owner would respond more to the counter bell ring as it is quite hard to get her at the reception.
