Great location, friendly staff, delicious food”
The hotel is located near the Hirayu Onsen Bus Terminal, which is less than a 5-minute walk away. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They provided detailed explanations to our questions, especially regarding local attractions, and offered appropriate recommendations. We booked a package that included breakfast and dinner. The dinner included Hida beef and dishes made with local ingredients, which were delicious. Hirayu Onsen is a convenient location for visiting Kamikochi, Norikura, Goshikinuma, and Shin-Hotaka Ropeway. The nearby Hirayu no Mori Onsen also has unique outdoor hot springs. Hirayu Onsen is a place worth staying for several days, and I would definitely come back if I have the chance.

Japanese-style guesthouse”
The receptionist was very helpful and assisted us with our luggage and shoes. They even helped us lay out the tatami. The highlight was the authentic breakfast and dinner, which we highly recommend. We are very happy with our choice to stay here. The staff were very friendly and even took a bath with us. Our family was very satisfied.

Not bad”
Good value for money, close to the station, convenient for travel, private hot spring available, breakfast menu changes every three days and is pretty good. Suitable for families with children. The only downside is that the hot springs are quiet at night, but you can soak in the hot springs in your room.

The room has no curtain for the window”
I do not recommend this hotel to my friends due to the below reasons: 1. The staff services in the receptions is not really sincere and helpful. When we reached the hotel lobby, the staff didn't welcome us. We carried our own luggage to walk to the counter and showed our booking, still not helping to our luggage. Even after check-in, we need to push our luggage ourselves and to find the way to get our room. NO HOSPITALITY AT ALL. However, for the dining place it was bit different. Overall staff in the canteen are friendly and helpful. 2. The room we got in somehow no curtain in the living room window. When we turned off all the light going to sleep, the light come from the street can shine out the entire sleeping area. I cannot sleep because the the light from outside In Japan, hotel hospitality has been well recognized in worldwide, especially for tourists. This time I don't experience a good quality of service at all.

Excellent Service!”
Hirata Kan is not a new hotel in Hirayu. However, they will make you feel great by their service. All staff are well-trained and have excellent attitude. Staff are prompt to answer any questions and eager to help you. The meals are wonderful especially the special 'Flowers of Hida Honey' which will be provided along with the breakfast; DO NOT MISS IT since the master of Hirata Kan is an active honey maker.I would definitely recommend this to my friends.

Good location”
Just a short walk from the Hirayu bus terminal & could easily spot Hirata Kan. We were ushered to our room & informed of the facilities & meal times. Advice to include their Hida Beef dinner, the whole kaiseki dinner was scrumptious!

Good Food and Warm Stay ”
I recommend to book with dinner set. The food at Hirata-Kan is amazing ! They serve Hida beef with other delicious side dish. The room is quite new and clean. Onsen is ok, not so fancy. (No extra charge for Onsen Fee.)

Very good”
This is a small hotel, very conveniently located near the Hirayu Bus stop. The room facilities are fine, the only draw back is the onsen, which is too small and the bath facilities are not so good. Dinner is fine, with Japanese beef. Will try other hotels if come Hirayu again.

A great Onsen experience! ”
The place seems to be family owned, which is great! The meals were great and very special. The onsen was fantastic! No private rooms though. The design is a bit out-dated and the place looks a bit old. Nonetheless, a great stay!

The service is good, the meals are delicious. The only thing needs to improve is the opening hour of the hot spring should be listed for the hotel guest.

Very good”
Both dinner and breakfast was good. The public onsen was small, but since not much people, we didn't feel crowded. The tatami room was clean and with private toilet and bathroom which was good for family with children or elderly. Bus station was nearby. Staff was helpful.

Nice experience but inconvenient”
- very good food though we prefer having dinner and breakfast at our room rather than in the big conference hall - big room (of course, we paid much for it...) - good to have private onsen in room but the onsen and water was a bit dirty, and there is no view to see - the public onsen looked small and simple - quite near the bus station - the trouble thing is you need to walk up and down a few stairs when going to the room. Fortunately, the staff helped on moving the luggage - staff are nice - lack of recreational activities in the hotel or nearby
