You get what you paid for”
I stayed for 3 nights in the 6-bed mixed dormitory. First of all, it took us more than 30 minutes to find the correct building with the reception desk. We first found the other building with the other rooms where we waited for a person in the reception desk for a good 15 minutes, until the tenants said that we're on the wrong building. When we did find the correct building, it was a struggle to get inside because of the intercom. The hostel is basically old and run-down - The photos are no longer accurate. The beds are just about comfortable, but the pillows are super thin, they're 'barely there.' The sockets are inconveniently out of reach, but at least there's a lamp per bed as well as a curtain for privacy. But my friend got bed bug bites. The free breakfast, although simple, is actually pretty good, but it can get crowded because the dining area is small. The kitchen is basic. There's a small area to lounge on. But the most disappointing part was the bathroom/shower facilities - especially the separate shower room in front of the kitchen. It could use some real cleaning. The sink was clogged, but at least the water pressure was high. There are 2 separate toilets, and 2 separate shower cubicles - but it puzzled me because there's no way to lock the shower cubicle, which means anybody can just open and go inside. You can do your laundry as needed. The 4 things I liked about this hostel are: - the free breakfast - at least the staff are helpful and friendly - the low price - the perfect location: just a few-minute-walk from Hungarian parliament and Margaret Island; within walking distance from a bus stop if going to Hosok There and is just in front of a tram station All in all: you get what you paid for.

Comfortable beds, amazing staff, lovely environment, right next to the parliament. They keep and keep on working to take this recently opened hostel to the top. Breakfast includes milk and cereal, and laundry is fairly cheap. AMAZING value for money.

Untidy & Not Well Managed Hostel”
HomePlus Hostel management looks poor as 1st of all they have multiple buildings and they adjust you as per their availability rather as per your booking. I have booked for a bed in 4 bed room type in main bldg but they asked me to go to bldg backside of main bldg. Moreover, I was provided a loft accessible through stairs, which has no gate (just a bed and small box to keep ur luggage) . Even sheets and pillow were dirty. Also, there was only 1 bathroom and toilet to be shared among may be 10-12 people. Though, they have kitchen facility where you can make your meal , my booking through Agoda suggested free breakfast but they denied and instead told they have dinner alternate days. didn't liked the idea..

Just pay what you get. Breakfast really like not provided at all. Kitchen was messy and this hostel mostly like renting out to the students and young ppl who want to work part time or studying because they told me stay in hostel is cheaper than hostel in university. So, just a short stay is ok. But for me. I think the room was clean and toilet is too small. The location is close to the Parliament House and next the light train station. I also asked around ppl of finding the right entrance of this hostel . Luckily, the quest there told me the entrance. The building old but at least the room was warm enough for me to stay during the winter

Staffs are so gentle and friendly ! Breakfast isn't included so I tried last morning qnd it was very reasonable and good. But don't forget that they don't have elevator. If you have heavy luggage, you will be exhausted before reach your room :( 스탭들이 매우 친절하고 활발해요! 조식불포함이어서 마지막날 2유로짜리 express로 먹었었는데 빵도 커피도 괜찮았어요~ 시설이 정말 귀엽고 좋아요! 다만 엘리베이터가 없어서 캐리어 들고 낑낑대며 오르내리기가 몹시 힘들어요ㅠㅠ

This hostel is located near by river and city so you can easily buy grocery. The advantage is that's all!! It's difficult to find this hostel because here doesn't have signboard. I also confused to find here for 30m. And I recieved absolutely different room I saw in the internet and I've never seen the worst cleanliness:) the employee was so kind but can't speak english. So I made conservation with him by using translator. Finally, if you use here, you can find you bitten by insects like bed bug:)

Located very near to the busy tram number 2 which can take u to the city in a few minutes. Beddings are ok. Shower facilities a bit small and run down though.

Great people running this place! Best location, very ambitious..remodeling and making it nicer as we speak. Internet is the fastest I have ever experienced..somewhere at more than 300 MB!!! Can not be beaten in any aspects. Thank you!

The level of staff support was incredible. They assist you in everything with a smile and during my last days there as I was starting to feel ill because of the rain, they even provided me with medicines and when I felt I need an additional pillow, it was there without questions asked.

worst hostel ever”
When I arrived there was no one in the reception so I couldn't get into the building so a granny who was living upstairs opened the door for me. Then I had to wait for another 3 hours just for the staff to show up.. I booked in 4 beded room but they gave away my room to someone else so l had to sleep in the 8 beded room and this took another 2 hours. It was ridiculous how they treated me and the dorm was untidy because of people who were living there(they were staying in the same room with us and it seemed like they didn't clean their place up for many days) so I guess that's where I got my itchy bites from. The most furious part was that they tried to charge me for 4 beded room while I slept in 8 beded room!!! I was so sick and tired of this place so I just left Budapest even though there was so much to see.. It made me scared that there would be other places like this

Cosy atmosphere, nice common space. The entrance is a bit confusing and the bathrooms could be cleaner. The free breakfast was..debatable.

Terrible! Don't book for this hostel!!!”
Worst hostel I've even met!The room is totally different with the pics shown on Agoda. The bed sheet is dirty and old; the lamp of my bed was broken; the locker inside is so small, I couldn't put my luggage in it even it's just a small gip;There are only 2 toilets which the toilet paper always out of stock, the staff never refill it! I just stayed for 2 nights, 3 times I found there is no toilet paper and the staff either ask me to refill myself, or even not at the reception area so that I need to find it myself! AND!!! The showers are super small, dirty and the pipe was totally stucked!!! The water couldnt go down when u are having a bath, it was flooding and came out from the tub! Many travlers complain about it, at least my room had 3! But on 2nd day the situation didn't improve, I claim for refund of the remain 2 days(I booked 4 days), they only refund me for the last night coz of the cancelation policy, I said it wasn't my problem to cancel,they are rude and said u are free to go!

The hostel does NOT exist ”
I spent an hour to find the hostel only to find that it’s under renovation. So when I arrive the hostel it’s literally empty with only a few renovation workers. They called to the hostel owner for me and the owner ask me to go to another hostel to stay. The experience is awful and the other hostel is totally different from what I was asking for. And I still haven’t receive my refund back.
