Excellent Little Hostel”
I was given a room to myself for a very good price. Since I don't like shared dormitory, this was really incredible and wonderful. My room was a lovely 6-tatami room, big enough for two people. There is a shared kitchen and common room. There is free tea and coffee and the kitchen is equipped with kettle, pans and plates and fridge, so if you like to cook, it's possible. The staff were so so kind and very cheerful. The hostel is located just off a main road and bus route. So it's very quiet yet convenient. It's a 3 minute walk to the bus stop. There are pubs, restaurants and 2 big supermarkets just nearby. This is not an area of Kyoto that is so popular with tourists, but I really like it. It's also very close to major temples in the north and north-east / north-west of the city. Buses are frequent and easy and cheap. One important shrine is nearby - Kitano Tennmangu Shrine, with its own ume orchard. Although the hostel is 'basic', it's also pretty and absolutely perfect for the solo traveller on a budget. TRADITIONAL JAPANESE HOME”
1. LOCATION: northwest of Kyoto (Kinkakuji & Roanji) plus supermkts. 2. CUSTOM BUILT WOODEN cubicles. They're so snug that I found them amusing. No way a 200 pounder could get into my cubicle. 3. FRIENDLY STAFF: lots of Taiwanese ladies. 4. HIP BOSS/OWNER that's travelled to over 100 countries. He's an independent thinker but married a Japanese woman - hilarious. 5. Bicycles for rent for only Y500. * they should have SOAP for the 2nd sink/toilet. Come on! We should WASH our hands!

Very compact hostel and rooms. Out of the way location from main attractions but, close to an array of buses to get around. Unfortunately we left too late to organise accommodation and this was the only one left that was in our price range.

Not worth the price ”
The location is quite far from train station. The room is very small and dirty. Blanket and pillow is very old and dusty. Sound insulation is very bad. We can hear people talking and walking from downstairs. Shared toilet and bathroom is very limited

Convivial et pratique”
Les membres du personnel sont très accueillants. Il était possible de dîner avec eux certains soir, ce qui donnait lieux à des repas conviviaux, de bonne qualité (plats faits maison) entouré de personnes de cultures très différentes. Autre point, cela ne pose aucun problème de jouer de la musique dans les pièces communes (sauf après 23h). Si vous avez de la chance et que d'autres musiciens passent la soirée dans la guesthouse c'est la bonne soirée garantie.

die Unterkunft ist traditionell japanisch. die Mitarbeiter sind alle super freundlich uns sehr hilfsbereit! Der Bus fährt quasi direkt vor der Tür und für nur 500 Yen kann man sich ein Fahrrad mieten. die Schlafkapseln sind teilweise ziemlich klein, aber man ist ja eh nur zum schlafen dort. Die Badezimmer waren immer sauber, ebenso wie die Küche!

宿泊施設というよりはシェアハウス感覚がお好きな人向け”
シェアハウスをしている人たちが運営しているような？レセプションにいる方たちも日本人ではないようでした。日本語を話せる人はいますが。日本人が利用する宿泊施設（町屋）のイメージとは少し違うかも？インバウンド向け？若い人向き？ 12時を回る遅い時間でも話し声が思いっきり聞こえます。コスパ最優先でそういうのは気にしない（むしろ好き）という方にはいいと思います。 立地も二条城にも京都御苑にも遠くはないが近いとも言えず。 自転車は借りれるようでした。

住宿地點在西陣 這裡是一個比較寧靜的區域 附近也有很多店家 生活機能不錯。旅館員工都很親切友善。唯一缺點大概是房間沒有對外窗 通風稍微不良 此外都不錯。
