Stayed for 7 nights in triple room on 10th floor. Rooms are tiny and highly functional - excellent quality Japanese bidet and shower. All staff were pleasant. Location central - tough of course depends where you would like to be central to … Room not cleaned except on request - towels readily changed on request. Access to public bath if desired (no added charge). Unfortunately was not until our las day that we discovered we had free use of hotel bicycles to explore the city. Provides Happy Hour - free alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages between 1700hr and 2000hr on weekdays. Overall, though bedrooms are cramped, Amanek was a pleasant stay, and we would return.

The staff is super nice. The facility is clean and beautiful. Great location in walking distance from restaurants and downtown Kyoto. Right across the street from a bus stop. Public bathhouse available and Yukatas for guests to borrow! Also, the water pressure in the showers were amazing and makes it so worth it!

Hotel is besides the Kamo river which is excellent for people who want to have a morning run. Staff were very helpful and courteous, washing machines are available and there’s also happy hour from 5-8pm. VOD is complimentary too, huge plus point.

The location is quite good. Bus stop is just next to the hotel which you can easily take bus to and from Kyoto station. you can take few minutes walk to Kiyomizu-gojo station for Keihan line. When you arrive before 8pm, you can enjoy free welcome drinks in the pantry that they provide different kinds of wine and you may tsate some Japanese sake. The check in process was smooth and the staff were nice to give us some travel advices. After check in you can get some necessities and roomwear or yukata at self service conrner. The was not big but well equipped. We can still open 2 luggages at the same time. Drinking water and vending machines on 2/f. The spa is there too. It was so relaxing to take the spa after walking whole day. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely come back again.

Excellent hotel for the money!! New hotel, super clean, decent enough room size with under bed storage, lounge downstairs which has free wine and craft beer in the evenings!. Bus stop outside which is only 10mins to Kyoto station - use bus 205, 4 or 17. If coming from the station use platform A2. The subway and bus tourist day passes are super good value also if your out for a day of sightseeing in Kyoto!. Very friendly and helpful staff also!

The hotel is located just 5-6mins away from the nearest subway station, making your stay easier. The facility has free drink service from 3pm to 8pm every day, and that was a really cool treatment after long day out. You see some cool bar/restaurants around and you never get bored of exploring the place around. Comes with a small hot springs, I couldn’t ask for more. One tip is that there are only 3 washing machines available(when I stayed one was broken), and you might have a hard time washing your clothes. The TV channel shows you the current availability of the washing machine as well, better check it on TV.

5 minute walk from the train station. 15 minute walk from the Kawaramachi Gojo area. Rooms itself are clean, comfortable, and nice. Free drinks in the cafe area downstairs for guests staying at the hotel. It's a nice hotel with an equally nice onsen. It was a fantastic stay.

The service and facility are beyond expectation. Public bath is one-of-a-kind. Clean and spacious. Very satisfying after an entire day out. Lounge bar has good-quality beer, wine, juice, tea and nuts. Room and bathroom are clean and comfortable and everything is of good quality. Staff is well-trained and pleasant to talk to.

Heavenly rain shower, lovely staff, free drinks & snacks!”
Stayed in Room 401, a Standard Triple Room. PROS: The hotel looked brand new and the room was very clean. The toilet is separate from the shower and sink. The rain shower is to die for! There are free drinks and snacks provided in the 1st floor lounge from 3pm to 8pm daily, which was a pleasant surprise. Drinks include 4 different craft beers, red wine, white wine, oolong tea, apple juice, orange juice, tea bags, and coffee. Snacks include mixed nuts, banana chips, and cocoa krispies. Although the staff spoke minimal English, they went completely out of their way to help me. One staff member walked outside of the hotel in the freezing cold to guide me to the bus stop that I was looking for. CONS: There is not much space in the room so this hotel would not be ideal for guests who carry large luggages. We had 3 carry-on luggages and it was already difficult to move around. There is a strong smell of smoke by the elevator since the elevator is located next to the smoking room.

Nice for 1-2 days since there is no space for clothes or even a chair. The warm baths in the 2bd floor (Japanesw clothes, Jimbei and Yakutas are provided) and the afternoon open bar 4-8 pm are special and sets this place apart from others. Staff speaks good English and seems to consist of many part-timers, I saw different people every time I passed by. It is only 3 train stops from the main station, you habe to change once. What could be improved are the labels for breakfast bc there are a few things that Europeans cannot recognize and the poor quality of the thin toilet paper. Overall, a nice stay.

A new hotel with compact facilities from free drink bar to public bath. The staff are very nice and patient. The budget long stay plan is attractive and environmental friendly. Just wish the 2-persons room could be bigger as it’s lack of luggage space.

Most cheapest among other hotel in Kyoto attractions area. Direct bus from Kyoto station is a plus point, and alighting point just infront of the hotel. Free beverage, wine and snack from 3pm to night time is the best point as I only pay around USD45 for two persons! Rent their kimono and slipper for FOC. Unbelievable price with so much of perks! Definitely will stay this hotel again when I visit Kyoto next time.

This hotel is nestled perfectly in an area close to bus stops and train stations. It's just 800m to the busy streets and malls of the area and just over the bridge from scenic gion. Make sure you get the big deluxe room, normal rooms are small, emaculate but small, do up grading to the bigger rooms makes the stay more memorable... especially if you have big pieces of luggage. Breakfast is simple but nice and the best part is they do welcome drinks (yes alcoholic and non alcoholic!) Every afternoon from 3-8pm!. Rooms are modern, clean and well kept. The staff are amazing! So helpful!
