Cozy, clean and quiet resort with stunning views of the surrounding nature. The breakfast buffet has a great variety of both Japanese and Western options, the staff are immaculately polite and professional and the onsen facilities alone are worth every buck spent (would recommend staying at least two nights to enjoy the full experience as the separate facilities on different floors rotate daily for male/female guests). Slightly removed from the city centre but we didn't experience any discomfort with travel due to the free shuttle service to and from Takayama Station. Will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Takayama!

been traveling for a while and always looking for affordable and nice place to stay. i’m glad that we booked Associa, we had a great great stay! 😊😁 Staffs are very accommodating, professional and friendly. great facilities. private and public- open onsen! It’s clean and relaxing( we really love it ) Our room is totally clean with great view. Bathroom is huge and clean. It was good”
It was a family trip after a long time. We visited Takayama for the first time in 10 years. Although it was our first stay at Hotel Associa, there were several hot springs and baths, and we could see the cityscape when we took a bath in the morning, which we didn't notice at night. The breakfast was also in a buffet style, but the staff guided us to our seats and we enjoyed it very much. It was a really wonderful hotel.

Spacious room and relaxing stay. The bathroom in the room was also large and clean. The facilities were well-maintained, and the sofa was reupholstered, making it a comfortable stay. The breakfast was delicious and had a wide variety of options. The small dishes allowed me to try a little bit of everything. The staff at the breakfast venue were particularly kind. It was also nice to have a late check-out time. I would definitely want to stay at this hotel again.

Comfortable”
I stayed for 2 nights. The large public bath had many types of baths and my children were very happy. The food was also delicious. It was very clean and we were able to spend a comfortable time.

Large resort in Takayama”
If you're looking for a large scale resort in Takayama this is the place. When we stayed we felt it was slightly over priced but it was the weekend. Though the location is very far from central Takayama, there is a free shuttle from the train station.

Comfortable bed, great onsen resort”
Our stay at Associa Takayama Resort is one of the best stay. We love their outdoor onsen overlooking the town. Their buffet breakfast have a wide variety of choices and I just love their Japanese buffet. Their room is quite big and so is their bathroom. We definitely will recommend this resort.

Even the Hotel Associa Takayama Resort is a bit far from city, the Hotel provide a shuttle bus for convenience. It was a quiet cozy place that I were very impress. More ever the service is very good. My professor forgot IPad in my room, the Hotel sent my IPad to Tokyo right away with no cost. I will return to stay here again when I visit Takayama.

The hotel has pick-up services from JR takayama station every hourly starting from noon. Easy access to locate pick-up point as the landmark is the Associa café itself, the pick up is directly in front on the main road itself. Staff from Associa café friendly to advise the time of pick up also. So you can enjoy the little town before pick-up to hotel to relax at the onsen and spas. Nice time enjoying the views of the mountains/ Japan Alps from the hotel onsens!

This is my second stay at the Hotel Associa Takayama. My first stay was July 07. Since 07, I have stayed in 15 hotels with onsens, and this is one of the nicest. The variety and views are excellent. Since 07, the rooms had been updated and remodeled and were quite nice. The buffet breakfasts and dinners are wonderful. On our second dinner they offered us a wonderful steak treat for eating two consecutive nights. What a delightful gesture. Buffet dinners are not included and if it is a weekend, you need to make a reservation at least one day in advance. The shuttle is only once per hour so you must plan your coming and going times. The gift shop in the hotel is wonderful with quality okashi and omiyage (sweets and souvenirs). The prices are not more expensive than in town.
