Good place to stay”
Nice place to stay for a budget travellers. Staff is very nice and kind. Slippers, earplugs and some other stuffs are available upon a request. Close to the shopping mall which has many places to eat. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a cheap stay in Budapest.

Cockroaches and twin beds”
I wish I could say I was happy, but nobody expects cockroaches I requested a double bed and was given twin. I'd have been fine with this if I'd been notified in advance. Staff seemed fine, but I didn't have any need to interact. Would have mentioned the cockroaches but had to leave quick.

Excellent value hotel not far from the airport”
we arrived late at night to budapest airport and had an early train next morning. we took a shuttle to this hotel, situated just 15mins drive from the airport. this hotel is excellent if you have a long layover in budapest and don't want to stay hours and hours at the airport. chesscom is cheap, clean, comfortable, staff is kind - so excellent value for money and would use it again in the future.

Hotel Chesscom is a great affordable place to stay in Budapest. Very clean and right next to a shopping centre with supermarket and food options. Easy to get to from the airport and less than 5 minute walk from metro station. Takes about 20/30 minutes to get into centre of Budapest on the train

great hotel convenient location in budapest”
on a holiday trip to budapest with spouse, was travelling both with bus and aeroplane, location is easily reachable from airport and bus station Népliget. Kobanyo Kispest station (bus, train, metro) is only 5minutes walk. City centre is 20minutes distance, but many options. Staff are very polite and helpful, breakfast is good, more than sufficient to start the day. Room is clean, internet access is great, tv channel HD available (no we dont have time to watch tv)

good for single night stay before flight”
the hotel is very close to the train station and although there is no sign of Chesscom, it seems to be the only hotel within eyesight after offboarding the train so you'll find it easily. The room was a bit noisy but tolerable, good for a sleepover but the sheet was so thin I decided to sleep with my clothes on. Left early in the morning so can't comment on the breakfast

Chesscom nice stay”
The Chesscom is a good and well placed hotel just 250m from the KOKI mall and metro station with a 20 minute connection to the city centre. There are lots of shops and many food outlets in the mall. I enjoyed my stay, the room was clean, medium size. The staff were friendly and efficient with good English. The lift , shower, lighting, frig, Lcd tv all operated well with good cupboard space. The inroom safe is a plus. The buffet breakfast was good. The hotel is good value for money and i will stay there again.

Nice hotel with good location”
Hotel Chesscom is a nice hotel next to the shopping center with Tesco Lotus and many shops and only ten minutes to the airport terminal one and the last stop of bus 200 E is the international airport terminal 2. It is very easy to go to the city center by taking the metro blue line about fifteen minutes to reach Dek square. Hotel Chesscom is close to the shopping center but the sign of the hotel is not visible because we can only see the word Hotel and the name Chesscom is covered by the tree branches so it took us more than fifteen minutes to look for the hotel and finally we have to ask someone to call the hotel for us. We were given the room on the 4th floor without any window and we cannot see the view outside the hotel. We were a bit late for breakfast and no more hot foods for us but we still have to pay eight Euros for the few left-over cold food such as Yogurt and dairy milk products.

Was very good a bit out of town but can catch the subway to the middle of Budapest and the staff and service was excellent. The breakfast was good value same with the price to stay at the hotel, only one gripe that the pillows were way to thin and soft.

we were safied with the services and comortibality of this hotel. despite of our short stay i would definetely choose this hotel for the next visit of budapest,because of its great position with close metro station, esy acces to the airport.

We traveled with our 4 young children and everyone got their own bed (we reserved a double and a quad room). I found the shared bathroom concept not to be an issue. It was very quiet with the windows closed and everyone slept perfect with the air conditioner on. We used public transportation to get around Budapest. I would stay here again.

Lovely hotel and lovely staff.”
We arrived after midnight. Gate was secure and receptionist nice and professional. We had a immaculately clean and newly renovated room, including safe and every thing expected in a higher star hotel. Few minutes walk to Airport Bus, Underground and shopping centre. In our case we arrived late, but the official taxi from the Airport to Hotel cost only 3800F. Breakfast good and staff were pleasant.

Nice hotel, but far from city center”
this is a nice clean hotel with good friendly staff but it is not near the city center. it is about a 15-20 minute metro ride to the center by metro, which is not far from the hotel. there is a big shopping complex right across the street with a few bars in the area that looked popular witht he locals. also under the shopping complexx is the bus that takes you to the airport cheaply and convieniently. a little confusing though, the first terminal which is not the international one is a few stops away from the 2nd international terminal, so dont get off in the wrong place. the rooms are clean but pretty small. i did have the economy one though.

some extra comments : - swimming pool around the corner with massage and sauna - nightshop 7/11 around the corner - shopping mall open until 22h with kfc and asian foods and mexican and belgian fries shop and tesco lotus and a lot more, they even have a goldshop - the staff is great, with shuttle service to hotel - the neighboorhood is safe despite what some say, never got problems - the friday and saturday there is also a discotheque/café across the street (can be a bit of problem if you hear the music)

close to airport”
The hotel is quite close to airport. Staff is friendly and reception is open 24 hours. The room is stuffy is you do not let the window open. It is no air con in the room only heater.

Comfortable but not so convenient”
Our room was very clean (though quite small) and breakfast was good despite the rather crowded state of the dining area. Being near a mall had practical advantages such as a place to change money or shop for snacks or drinks, but visiting the main areas of Budapest required a 30 - minute minimum commute. Staff were 'guardedly friendly' - no real complaint but there was little warmth in their service.

Inexpensive but still clean rooms and top service”
we chose this hotel because it was inexpensive and close to the airport. just stayed 1 night but everything was fine. free wifi and just 5 eur for the shuttle bus to the airport.
