Good price, far from center”
Comfortable hotel, the layout was a bit strange, with elevators and stairwells in odd places. Breakfast was very good, though if you went between 9and 10 not everything was refreshed. Far from downtown Budapest, but near a shopping mall and the metro. I think this used to be a very nice hotel when it was new, but now it is a bit dated. Still a great value for the price.

Good value for money”
Easy to reach when coming from the south along M5 highway. Decent hotel for a short stay in Budapest, located near Ors Vezer Tere metro station (the last station on the red line), so one can leave the car in the street in front of the hotel (free parking) and use public transport. Arkad shopping center with a large food court and Spar supermarket is also nearby - ideal for selfcatering. Abundant buffet breakfast with a lot of choices.

What has gone wrong”
I visit Budapest regularly to visit my dentist and have stayed at the Eban at least three times before. Positive Points My room had been refurbished but the shower head was not fitted correctly and flooded the bathroom. Wifi is now available in all the bedrooms and was very good. Negative points My room was only cleaned once [out 3]. The breakfast was awful. Only marg [not butter said the waitress] No jam or marmalade. I only found out that I could order eggs on the last morning. My wife on phoning found the receptionists difficult to deal with. Unusually for Hungary most of the staff spoke little English. The evening meal has always been expensive and of poor quality. On this trip I noticed that a group [Hungarians] who had an inclusive deal left most of their main meal. I always eat at a very good bistro across the road. after that first night I found that this group eat at the same bistro even though they had to pay for it. Finally I would point out that my dentist has partnership agreements with various hotels. The Eban was one of them for some years. However the hotel has now been removed from their system

Good stay for the maney I payed”
The hotel is good enough if you catch nice offer. It has everything you need to spend a night (as all the rest of time I was walking in the city). The only thing I was upset - absence of soap in the room and slow interntet connection.

Gone down since my last stay”
I stayed here a year ago and found it ok. It seems to have gone down hill since. On checking the fire escape nearest my room I found the door at the bottom locked. I mentioned this to the older guy at reception who shrugged his shoulders and said "No problem". Next nearest set of stairs was roped off with a do not trespass notice. Room was quite hot but no aircon remote control is provided in October. Opened the window and in a flew a large flying bug. Mini bar empty, fridge did not work(after getting on my knees to plug it in) then the door fell off. Toilet seat was so loose it nearly fell off too. On my knees again to tighten it before I could risk sitting on it. Why should guests have to perform maintenance tasks? Shampoo but no soap in the bathroom. Main bar is closed indefinitely, when asking at reception why, the answer was "No guests." On the upside the rooms have high ceiling, are reasonably well decorated and the hotel is conveniently located for Orz Vezer Tere transport hub (next to Ikea) The new receptionst Mark was very helpful.

Good location but old hotel”
in general not a bad hotel, may be furnishing is a bit old. the lobby was not impressive at all, room was better. good beds and good quality linen, nice to sleep. good area, not noisy and at the same time close to the city center, just 15 minutes of walking.

Ｗifi signal with corner room ”
I make a booking with double include breakfast but they give me a corner room Wifi signal just one or zero (if best signal is four) I can't view any Youtube films I can't use skype for talking I ask staff to change the room Finally Mr.Guti help me to better room(signal is two or three) Thanks for his help. but I think they should improve wifi signal to everywhere.

Quality gone down Hill”
I have stayed in this hotel 4 or 5 times. When I stayed in May this year it had gone down hill. My most resent visit Aug/Sept 16 it was even worse. The restaurant is now closed except for breakfast. One cannot buy a cup of coffee or even a bottle of water after 10 am. For breakfast there is no butter only margarine: the bread was stale even at 7 am when breakfast started: the coffee indescribable. I was told that the restaurant is unlikely to reopen. There is no bar any more. The first two nights my room was not cleaned except for the rubbish bin being emptied and the bed was not made. My water glass was never washed the whole time I was there. On arrival the bathroom glass was dirty. The air conditioning never worked. There was a dead fly on the window sile which was still there when I left: the room had never been dusted or hovered. The shower base was badly cracked and in-hygienic and the floor tiles cracked. The phone is blocked and one cannot make out going calls. This was confirmed by reception who allowed me to use the desk phone after some difficulty - for a local call. They do not take messages but put one through if one is in the room. I shall never use this hotel again.

The personnel was excellent, polite and hard working. The standard of the hotel was medium. Our room was average, not the best as we had three beds although we were only two, I would have appreciated more space in stead of the bed. The breakfast was OK but I missed the bacon!

Zimmer sind OK,sauber und nicht zu klein.Frühstück für 7,50 p.P und Tag ziemlich Arm und im vergleicht zu anderen Unterkunften in z.B..Prag katastrophall. Das beste aber zum Schluss,am Sonntag morgens hat und die Heilige Messe geweckt. Um 7:00 Uhr in dem Konferenzraum im Hotel mit vollen Stimmen.Antwort von der Rezeption,nur leise "Sorry"

Tutto perfetto in base al prezzo pagato. Peccato per il Wi-Fi che praticamente è inesistente poiché vva e viene e il segne è scadente, e per l'aria condizionata posizionata ai piedi del letto da una parte che dava fastidio al riposo...
