Excellent”
I was skeptical since I only stumbled upon bad reviews and the before-renovation photos after I made the non-refundable booking. But when I arrived, I was surprised by how close it was to the tram station and how nice the room was. We arrived Munich very early in the morning and since the check-in only starts at 3pm, they helped us to keep our baggages while we walked around the city. If you’re a Muslim, the Halal mart and kebab restaurant are just next door. The receptionist could be a little bit nicer but overall, it was a pleasant stay.

Low expectations, higher prices”
There is no fridge in the room. And no air conditioning. Not all the rooms are renovated. i stayed multiple times in this hotel and until 2022, the breakfast was included in the price; not is not, and above, the price is higher.

Very small bathroom”
The bathroom was very small and there was no room to move around. The space between the toilet and the wall will cause the knees to hit the wall.

Good location, helpful staff, old-fashioned lift.”
This hotel is very convenient for tram or train into Munich. We arrived from Lindau on Lake Constance by train. Fortunately we noticed the train had stopped at Pasing (Munich) Station and we saved ourselves going into the centre and back out. There are reasonable shopping and restaurant facilities nearby. The hotel was quite reasonable for its price bracket but rather old-fashioned. The worst aspect was probably the single lift, which was the type with separate inner and outer doors. This meant that occasionally the outside door did not close properly, locking the lift to that floor. With 5 floors and only one lift it was no fun having to use the stairs. In fairness, this only happened to us once. Although Internet access was available (at a price) , WiFi was not available in the room and a modem (available) was required - not much good if you have a tablet or smart phone, as we had. Considering how cheap WiFi is to provide we are surprised that all hotels do not supply it for free. I'm sure that the increased attraction for the hotel would more than offset the money made by charging. Perhaps it is a German thing. We had no complaints about breakfast and generally found the hotel to be satisfactory.

Great service and amazing breakfast”
all staff spoke some degree of English and were always polite, helpful and wished us good morning. Breakfast was amazing everyday and Location was in a nice old part of town, no more then a 5-10 minute hassle free train trip to Munchen central. The wifi wasn't fantastic from the room, but it was good in the bar or breakfast areas. Overall, Fantastic stay for a great price. Highly recommend staying with Imperial Hotel.

Excellent breakfast but very small rooms”
I chose this hotel thinking it was on a subway line only a few stops from the centre of Munich city, and it was relatively inexpensive compared with inner city prices, plus breakfast was included in the price. However, it turned out to be a 20 minute ride on a tram (thank heavens a stranger was kind enough to put me on the right path), and the rooms were very, very small. My friend and I decided we would take the "family" room and share. Didn't make the bathroom any bigger though! Having said all that, the Imperial was a really nice little hotel, with very friendly, kind staff. There was wifi (not free) in the small lounge, with a good bar. The tram ride was perfectly ok, the hotel was clean, the breakfasts were wonderful, plus there was a brilliant pizzaria directly across the road. Would recommend.

Good location, yummy breakfast, nice staff”
No double bed here, all twin bed. Our bed is made up of 2 twin together...it's fine if you think it is fine... The location is good, take tram number 19, which is right outside Pasing station, get off at 3rd stop, hotel is to your right. Very convenient. Even if you walk it's only 10-12 mins. The housekeeping lady, young guy and gal at the reception are very helpful. The only middle age guy who had duty at night, was with that attitude that piss you off, I felt like I am the server and he is the guest. I was just asking for hot water as it ran out (which was provided at the lounge at night, very thoughtful). The room got not much going on, just simple amenities like combines shampoo/body wash, no toothbrush comb etc so bring your own. No kettle so they offer hot water downstairs. Breakfast was good, quite a range of selection and nice area for breakfast :) very enjoyable morning.

Nice 3 star hotel”
Breakfast was great, staff was friendly and helpful. The bathroom was quite cramped and the hotel was quite a view tram stops from Oktoberfest and central area, but overall we enjoyed our stay here and the tram stop was very close to the hotel and Pasing train station wasn't far either.

Great place, poor location”
The hotel itself was good: spotless, recently refurbished, amazing shower, great breakfast. The room was a little cramped, but ultimately was not an issue. Only downside is that it is located far from Munich and the airport. Easiest way to get around was actually the tram, which didn’t occur to us upon arrival in Munich. The area was very quiet. For a couple of women, this made us slightly uneasy. The only pro about the location is that Nymphenburg Palace was halfway between the hotel and the city.

Comfortable”
Hotel imperial is pretty darn nice. The price was expensive only because we were staying during Oktoberfest. That being said, we got free wifi because of that fact. It's only a 10 minute walk from the train and a mall. Their breakfast was a nice touch, it may have been the same every day but definitely nice to have.

Good location and price”
this small hotel is very well located in the outskirts of munich. a short tram ride will get you to the city centre. the rooms are on the small side but clean and all the hotel staff is very friendly and ready to help. the breakfast is somewhat limited but still good enough to get your day started.

Very clean room and great breakfast”
The room is very clean and tidy. The breakfast is with a great variety of food. It's a surprise that the hotel can offer such good breakfast. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is closed to a shopping mall which you can do all the shopping without going to town center.

Clean hotel with very friendly staff .”
Room was quite basic but functional and it was very easy to reach the centre of Munich. All the staff were very polite and helpful. There was quite a lot of traffic noise as we were at the front of the hotel which is situated on a busy road and we had a few problems with the temperature of the shower- often cold. The selection of food offered for breakfast was very varied and plentiful-excellent bread rolls!
