Worth the money! Perfect place to stay”
I stayed over 4 nights around Golden Week (the busiest time of the year) and they managed everything properly. The room was spacious and clean, with so many little amenities that made the stay much more pleasant. They provide a LAN cable, multi-device charging port (USB A, USB C, Lightning cable). Those things are pretty handy as you can charge multiple devices with just one socket and you won't have to unpack your chargers. The reception staff communicates well in English as well, which makes the entire process so easy, as there are no communication barriers or gaps. As for the room, I like that they had a "card" for everything so that you can communicate with the cleaning staff easily. Don't want to change the linens today? Place the provided card on the pillow. Need only towels replaced in the room? Place the card. The location is best, as it's connected with the Nagano Station itself, which is connected with the Midori building (multiple shops inside the area ranging from food to clothing and whatnot). It's so close to multiple touristy places, it's easy to plan your trip. 10/10 would recommend it.

Superb location, great value and spacious rooms”
We got 2 rooms for a great price for my family of 2 adults and 2 children. The location is second to none, with a walkway on the 2nd floor connecting directly to Nagano station, so you do not even need to walk out of the station. We got upgraded to a superior room for free when we arrived so our room was very spacious and bathtub was clean and big too. The view was nothing to shout about but we used this room as a base to explore nagano and matsumoto itself so it was not important. Please choose this as your first choice in nagano. the location is simply the best. opposite the hotel was don quijote and a short walk away was Tokyu and Seria stores. in the station itself was another supermarket. Will look forward to staying here again

Pleasant hotel with excellent service ”
Hotel is conveniently located above Nagano JR station. Front desk is excellent - when I checked in late evening, the staff (believe is the manager) went above and beyond to accommodate my request. Deluxe room is very spacious and super comfortable. My room also has amazing mountain view. Despite overlooking the train track, there’s no noise leakage. Highly recommend.

Hotel connected to Nagano JR Station”
The location of hotel is really good as it is connected to 2nd floor of hotel, hence for those travelling to Nagano via train is easy. For those who drives, the parking is at basement of the hotel. The staff speaks English hence no issue with communication. The layout and design of the lobby is grand and rooms we stayed in were clean and big. With the usual amenities like pyjamas, water, toothbrush etc given. The drip coffee provided by hotel was also one of the better ones I have tried. The only thing is the wifi connection was weak, which is a very common thing I encountered in my stay in many hotels for this trip. So if you have your own network, this will not be an issue.

Wonderful locaton”
Got a deal for this hotel through Agoda for 3 days at < $400. Location is right at JR Nagano station, cutting through Midori mall and you will reach level two of the hotel. Henc you would not get caught in the cold after alighting from the train and the walk back to the hotel. Room is also spacious and clean. They also partner with an onsen located in the outskirts. Be sure to enquire with the front desk when you check in if you like soaking in onsen. Definitely a hotel i would return to!

Nice Hotel with Good Location and Price”
The hotel is very close to Nagano Station with just 3 minutes walk and connected with MIDORI department store. Hotel staffs were very nice and can answer all my questions. Check in process was very smooth. The room is big and clean. You need to use your room card to reach your floor which makes the security better. And Don Quijote is just opposite the hotel which you can reach there through the bridge at 2nd floor.

Hotel Metropolitan Nagano is literally at the station - handy when you are tired of dragging bags for long distances or simply feeling exhausted from travelling. Larger than average room, very clean and beautiful. Right next to Nagano Station, so it's super convenient. And there are loads of convenience stores and restaurants around it, so you won't be short of food options. And the staff are lovely and friendly. Made me feel very welcome!

Best Location with Really Good Services”
First of all, I really want to appreciated for all the assistance from the hotel staff. Before my stay, I asked them if they can help us to book restaurant as we are a group of 8, which is quite difficult to walk-in. They were really helpful and helped me book the restaurant with menu reserved too. Even after our arrival, they recommended us some restaurants nearby and helped us to make reservation immediately. We had wonderful nights credited to the staff. Also, the hotel location is extremely good, just a few steps from the JR station. The room is much bigger than the usual Japan hotel rooms. Therefore, I really recommend this hotel to everyone who would like to stay at Nagano.

Close to the station!! Recommended!!!”
The hotel is very convenient, right next to Nagano Station, and can be easily accessed by train or bus! It was very helpful that the bus for Zenkoji Temple's morning service stops at the hotel, and it was also convenient for transportation after check-out. The breakfast was included and everything was delicious, especially the oyaki (a local specialty dumpling) which I really liked. The staff were all very kind and helpful, and I had a pleasant stay. The room was on the side facing the railway tracks, so I was able to see various trains including the Shinkansen and trains departing from Nagano Station, which was very exciting. My 84-year-old mother was also very happy. There were some sounds from the level crossing and night-time railway construction, but the bed was comfortable so I was able to sleep soundly. By the way, I stayed in a triple sofa bed, and the cushion of the bed was also very firm and good. I searched for other hotels, but choosing this hotel was a great decision! I would like to stay here again when I visit Nagano.

The location is of course unbeatable, right next to the jr station. had to take a night bus unexpectedly and this safed my trip. I only stay for transition to hakuba and everything was more then fine. The breakfast is add-on but worth to try

For the price we paid we thought we were getting something less than the photos depicted or maybe a fading gem. We chose this hotel due to its excellent location in a compact city. Being a part of the transport complex was a bonus. However, we got all that and more. It's a 4-star hotel with exceptionally professional, cheerful and helpful staff. In excellent condition and very large rooms for Japan. This hotel was a winner for us.

This hotel is directly connected to Nagano train station via the shopping mall on level 2. It is a covered walkway, just 50 metres away. No excuses to miss any train. There are coin operated washing machines in the hotel on certain levels . But you need to book a laundry spot with the Front Desk. Will definitely stay here again if I were to visit other parts of Nagano again

I stay here with my wife and my 7 years old daughter. I came earlier than the check in time, so i ask the staff if i can check in earlier, and with a reasonable extra charge, i can. The check in process was so fast and easy. The staff very helpful. The location of the hotel is connected to the nagano stasion, so you can take train or bus easily. Restaurant and food stalls is around the hotel and in the stasion. The room is big enough. I brought two large suitcases and a cabin suitcase, with an extra bed in the room, i still have enough space to open my suitcases. The amenities are complete, they provide you with hairdryer. Definitely my choice when i’m going to nagano again.

Best Stay as Always”
We have been staying here for quite some time. Often during the winter months. We love the proximity of the area to almost every tourist spot we want to visit. We love how it’s conveniently located. Parking is available for a fee. After all the COVID situation, I was pretty worried if we should stay here since it’s by the train station and with that being said, there’s a lot more people in the area compared to other locations. However, since we love this hotel, we decided to spend the holiday vacation here & it was the best decision ever. Hotel is very clean, sanitizers everywhere and we are very impressed! Will definitely stay again :) and we recommend it to everyone with or without kids!
