A clean and budget hotel”
Don't get scared by the location of this hotel although it is situated near to Nishinari Ward. It is not far from a train station, and there is a street of Izakaya and a supermarket. Although at night, this area tends to be quiet and not much people is seen walking around. But we feel safe. The staff speaks good English, and is super accommodating and friendly. We are expecting our Wifi being deliver to the hotel prior to our arrival but the delivery seems to be having trouble delivering it. The young gentleman at the front desk offered to call to the delivery centre and ask. Room floor is lined with Tatami which is a surprise for us to experience such Japanese vibe. Room is clean, size is like most Japanese hotel. Shared shower room is located at the ground floor, there are bathrobe available for guest to use. Shower room is clean. Highly recommend this hotel if you are on a budget to explore Osaka.

This is my second time staying in Hotel Mikado and it still exceeded my expectations. Everything in Osaka is accessible because this hotel is near Shin Imamiya station and Dobutsuen Mae. Kudos to the staff who are the friendliest and the hotel itself is well maintained. Room I got is bigger than I expected. Will sure stay in this hotel whenever I go to Osaka

One of the best hotel we stayed during our trip. A lot of facilities, free bikes, sauna and onsen. Very nice staff, hot water, kitchen, microwaves and oven! When you are doing a laundry be sure you have your detergent with yourself! And just one thing – hours

Perfect Stay”
A nice hotel right in the heart of Osaka. It is literally 3 minutes from the next train station and the surroundings offer many possibilities to taste the local cuisine. Whoever does not like to use a regular shower can use the hotel's own Onsen. The receptionists were extremely friendly and welcoming. You can also rent bicycles free of charge to discover the region.

Dont bring your elderly parents here”
Found it theough my search. Good loxation if you are a solo or couple traveller, but I wouldn't recommend it if you ate bringing your family or parents as the whole building is abit dilapitated. However, the facilities are complete, with a bathhouse. My only complaint is the bed was not even, so didnt have a good sleep

We stayed in a 4-bedroom room and it was very spacious for the 4 of us. It was a common bathroom/comfort room but we were the only people located at the ground level near the dining area. The only thing is they close between 2 am to 5 am. One time we went to Mega Don Quijote (walking distance from Hotel Mikado) we arrived 30 minutes before 2 am and we found the hostel closed. We knocked until the receptionist heard us and showed us the sign that it closes between 2 am to 5 am. So take note of that for future travelers. But overall, a pleasant stay.

Continuing my previous review – I would just change hours of using onsen for women – it's only couple of hours during 24h, and men can go for almost every time. It's a little bit unfair. But that's the only thing, the rest was just amaizing!

Worthed every penny.”
This is the best hostel in osaka, so far for me. So close from jr (east exit shinimamiya) and metro station. There is DonQ, family mart. Hostel itself have a small room but clean, microwave and oven every floor, onsen (no need to wait). They provide pajamas, toothbrush, towel and staff are really nice. You can leave your luggage there. Perfect place for me.

SUPERB LOCATION”
location wise it is superb! very near the subway and JR lines. the hotel is very clean even the if it's shared bathroom/toilet. you can cook your meal or re-heat your bento. Mega Don Quijote is just a block away just accross the ShinImamiya station. We will definitely book again if given a chance to travel in Osaka again.

Nice Hotel”
Lovely rooms and clean. I had an issue with one of the live in residences within a couple of hours after checking in which resulted in me having to change rooms. Because of this i wanted to leave this hotel however, the manager Mao Nagata was absolutely amazing and because of her i decided to. stay. She was curteous & professional and made my stay worth it. Thank you Mao!
