We stayed in the South Tower and the room was super clean and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast buffet had a variety of choices and was delicious. Sadly we felt that since they converted a banquet hall into the dining hall, it exuded a mess hall atmosphere and depreciated the true value. The hotel is located a short walk to the Toho line station and an underground passageway. (But additional walk to the JR Sapporo station. )It’s fairly convenient. All in all, it’s a solid 4 star hotel and if the rate is competitive, it’s worth staying.

I was a little skeptical at first because of some reviews but I tried different 4star hotels in Sapporo and nothing compares to this place. The service was astounding as they provide almost everything you would need. The staff were kind, the details of the hotel were beautiful, it is a few mins walk to restaurants and train stations. It has a very good ambiance and I highly recommend!

this is a really great hotel! affilidated to Hotel Montery, they both use the european theme staff is friendly, helpful! location-wise may be slightly off from the main roads, but still within walking distance to central area, subway etc. about 5 mins walk to these places overall is a nice hotel!

First of all, there are 2 Monterey Hotels within a block of one another ("Monterey Edelhof Sapporo" and "Monterey Sapporo") , and I mistakingly showed up at the wrong one ("Monterey Sapporo"). There was a snowstorm, and by the time the Front desk people had realized the mistake, I had already unpacked, so they just decided to switch the reservations. This review thus applies to the older Monterey Sapporo and not the newer Monterey Edelhof Sapporo. The hotel is done up in a variety of historical themes. Tapestries depicting Arthurian legands decorate the hallways, but the rooms themselves are sort of pseudo-vitorian (I guess, I'm no historian). The elevator gas a brass-colored dial that tells tells you which floor you are on. My Japanese friend exclaimed "Kawaii" immediately when she saw the rooms. So there you go. The whole thing seemed like kitsch to me, but she was happy, so what did I care. Apparently its popular with weddings.

stayed in a high floor room for 3 over 3 nights. love the view! clean and ideally located right in between JR sapporo station and susukino, 2 blocks from sapporo tower. (newer than hotel Monterey) slightly on the edge of main city blocks but very easy to walk - a stone throw from clock tower and the akarenga park.

A week in Sapporo”
Excellent hotel. Our room was small, but adequate for two with a very nice bathroom and amenities (kettle, fridge, etc). The bed was very firm, but comfortable. The hotel was quiet overall and we had a great view from the 21st floor. The staff were very nice, but we struggled somewhat to be understood as most of the staff had very little English. They offered complimentary umbrellas when it rained. The location was superb for touring Sapporo. The hotels focus is weddings, but it is good for any kind of traveler. The wifi was excellent. Didn't try the restaurants, but they looked very nice. I would highly recommend the Edelhof.

Our stay at Hotel Monterey Edelhof was decent. Even though the location is slightly further from the JR Sapporo station but it's still within walkable distance and it's location near Odori/Susukino which we can walk to on a good day. We need to pay for the onsen/spa in this hotel which we didn't had to in our other hotels in Hokkaido. The room size is quite big considering Japan's standards (we could open 3 big luggages fully) and the staff were helpful with our queries.

Good Location and good hotel”
Reasonable price for such a good hotel. About 10 min distance from the Sapporo station, and the view is quite awesome. Breakfast is quite good, they serve western type buffet style with several local foods such as Hokkaido type fried chicken(Zaki) and some fresh hokkaido milk and yogurt. The facility is clean and simple, and modern. Staffs there could speak English and Japanese(never tried Korean to them) and very kind. If I have a chance to visit Sapporo again, I will definitely stay in this hotel again.

A very nice hotel”
A little corridor in the room, it makes the room much more larger and more space to place our luggage. We lived in the highest floor -25/F, which can look at the whole Sapporo. A really nice view outside the hotel. But we cannot see the Odori Park and the Television Tower, because we are horizontally aligned with it. Price is super cheap among other hotels in Sapporo.

It's located in the center where everything is accessible by foot (train station, restaurants, what to see places in Sapporo like the Government Office, clock tower, tv tower, and most especially the Sapporo Factory Mall.) The hotel is very near the bus stop where we embarked going to Chitose Airport. I like our family room because it's clean and very spacious for just the 4 of us. Breakfast buffet is superb with lots of options. We'll stay here if ever we come back to Sapporo in one of our future vacations.

Booked this hotel with 50% discount price, close to price of business hotels but with great services and luxurious rooms. Recommended if I go to Sapporo next time. One thing is the hotel is not too close with Sapporo Station, need approximately 10 minutes walk.

Classic & Tidy hotel, Good Big Breakfast ”
The hotel setting is classic and very tidy. Can feel that staff members serve with pride. 8 minutes walk to the nearest malls and JR Sapporo. If you have a lot of luggage, simply take a taxi to JR Sapporo. The meter won't jump. The breakfast is buffet style. Food are made from Hokkaido ingredients. Lots of choice, worth to eat. The dinner hall (yes dinner hall) has a nice city view too!

Great hotel with awesome spa facilities ”
Hotel is spacious, i was put in a corner room at the 19th floor. Since it is winter, i get to see snowflakes from my window, a truly beautiful site. Hotel is very near to Sapporo central station and the vintage german-Austrian influence added much exquisite touch to this glorious hotel. The spa is awesome especially during winter and after a long flight. wonderful stay and will return again.
