Best location for restaurants and skiing”
Ichinose is much easier for dining options than any other area in Shiga Kogen . Second time staying at Hotel Mt Shiga and everything was great. Would recommend this hotel for families. Each room has own bathroom and toilet. Staff very helpful with transporting our luggage via Yamamoto service.

Ski lodge”
I used it in after-season (early April) for ski trip thus the below may not be all the same during the prime season. There were very few guest (maybe 5% of capacity). The manager was friendly and helpful. The room was okay but with a bit of awkward arrangement of beds. Heating was good, controllable. The wifi worked well. No fridge in the room. The public bath was good, open 24 hours. The ski locker room is conveniently located. The food was just enough for me (set breakfast and dinner). Parking was available at approximately 150 meters from the hotel. The access road to the hotel entrance is narrow, there could be congestion in top season when several guests are arriving and leaving at the same time. Ski grounds are about 200 meters walk from the hotel that is a not too pleasant in ski boots.

スキー一人旅で泊まりました。大浴場でスキーの疲れを癒せます。徒歩３分で志賀高原のゲレンデです。駐車場は、冬の時期は車で1〜2分の場所に停めて、ホテルのハイエースで送迎してくれます。大して面倒ではなかったです。食事は豪華ですが一人旅には高価かな、と。事前に電話して簡易メニューでお願いしておく、という方法もありそうです。
