The service at Nemzeti is excellent, with friendly, informative and professional staff. The beautiful ground floor includes a welcoming lobby and a bar area, and a huge dining room with a stained glass ceiling and decorative plaster work. A great space to enjoy the well organised breakfast. Our double room had everything needed: a good bed, curtains that really kept the very early morning sun out, and absolutely no traffic noise. Nemzeti's location is a winner. It's separate from the monster tourist hotels and has great transport options. It's also an easy walk to Pest centre and to a wide variety of restaurants.

booked this hotel and where pleasantly surprised how well our choice was, from entering hotel until we left at end of our stay, the hotel staff could not have been more courteous or customer focussed and the hotel décor and facilities lived up to its 4 star rating. The breakfast buffet set us up each day before setting out viewing the sites of the city, would have no problems recommending this hotel to anyone visiting Budapest.....

This is one of the most pretty hotels i have stayed in Europe. The interior decors are like renaissance design. The rooms are a good size. Beds very comfortable and toilet amenities are nicer than usual. They provide some nice shampoo and shower gel. It has a powerful hair dryer. Room is quiet facing the back, which we asked for otherwise this hotel is facing the main road and can get quite noisy (i know this thanks to other reviewers). The hotel breakfast is really nice. It has an array of warm selection, hard and soft cheese selection, a few kinds of cereals, nice salad sauces, mixture of nuts and breads, few kinds of juices and plenty of jams and honey. The best thing is the tram and metro is just outside this hotel. To use tram, you have to buy a single ticket from the purple machine outside (if its not working, go to the metro, its the same purple machine for tram and metro). Buy a single trip ticket if you are not a frequent user. There is also a friendly money changer and kebab shop just next door. Downside is that the location is not near Vorosmarty Square where the action is. You have to take the metro to Vorosmarty Ter. But its ok, the hotel and staff are really nice.

Excellent location, warm staff, beautiful building”
Excellent hotel with a great location! We had a Classic Double room and it was good, modern and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet spread was good, and it was just lovely to sit in the restaurant and admire the architecture from within during breakfast. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel! One of the better hotels I stayed during my trip to Europe.

Had a great stay at the hotel, which is conveniently located right beside Exit E of the Blaha Lujza Terminal (red line) metro station. We had no issues at all trying to get to and find the hotel. It is well connected by various metro/tram/bus lines and is near the New York Cafe (one of the attractions) of the city. Needed to check out early to catch a train and the hotel staff promptly prepared 2 bags of breakfast box for us to take on our train ride. Had an enjoyable stay and will definitely be back when we revisit the city.

Our room was noisy so we asked to change and it was no problem. The rooms are clean and comfortable. However the bathrooms are very small. Our first room had a fabulous walk in shower but our quieter 2nd room had a very small bathroom with a tiny shower. The staff make this hotel better than most!

The hotel is at a very good location with good public transporation (just a few minutes walk to metro station or tram stations)and is convenient to go to the sightseeing spots. Rooms are comfortable, neat and tidy.

Blissful hotel in heart of Budapest”
Very satisfying. Couple highlights: 1. The room was very sufficient in size. 2. Bed is amazingly comfortable. 3. Wi-Fi was okay but considering with free wifi around city, I would say that hotel's wifi was not that bad. 4. Tram stop was right in front of hotel entrance. Many bars surrounding this hotel.

Very nice room. Very clean. Just in front of the subway station. Very convenient to reach from main train station. Front staff are very helpful with guiding me to see what I wanted to see. They recommend many things and spent lots of time to book everything for me. Special thanks to Mr. Igor. Location is very good to go every where but not within walking distance to the chain bridge area. 2 stops away about 15 minutes. Only one thing to improve is the elevator has a sewer smell in the morning which is not pleasant when you are going to eat breakfast.

Bed was so comfortable I had to make an effort to get up and go sightseeing! Staff was friendly and helpful, I asked for a quiet room facing the courtyard which I got. Asked for late check-out as well and I got until 2 pm. Public transport available right outside the hotel, some attractions are within walking distance anyway.

Professionalism of the staff, especially the enthusiasm and helpfulness of the bellboys, and of course the meticulousness of the bartender before I left for the airport, are very much appreciated. Good neighbourhood and centrally located”
Centrally located with subway just minutes away makbing sightseeing around town very convenient. The famous New York cafe is just walking distance and so are the other restaurants. The pick-up point for the Hob on/off bus is also just walking distance. The staff speaks fluent English and most attentive and friendly.
