Best budget hotel”

Location, Price, Cleanliness

I was looking for a 1 night stay in Sapporo before leaving and found the lowest rate at Route Inn Sapporo. It happened to be a very good decision. The location is in susukino area where all eateries are located, also in the walking distance from subway. The hotel itself was super clean and new. The room was spacious and also equipped with enough amenities. The staffs were very helpful.

Route Inn will be my First Choice Next Time”

Yummy generous breakfast buffet, onsen, guests are decent class

there are 3 things i particularly like: 1) the guests i saw were nearly all japanese. i felt tranquil. 2) there's a communal onsen/bath. i took my bath there although i had private bathroom in my own room. it's so relaxing after a day walk. 3) breakfast is very good and generous with variety. it's a buffet with japanese and western kind. the inn is in good location. susukino is a bustling district with many restaurants and shops. i came to this inn from airport by bus (1 hr 15 min). the airport bus stop or susukino metro station is just in 5 min walking distance. room clean, bed comfy. but the blind is light in colour and i was awaken by the sunlight every morning at around 4:30am (sunrise in hokkaido is very early). route inn will be my first choice for my next trip to japan.

Good service & location”

Room is clean & tidy

the hotel is in a good location and easy to find. take the jr(train) at the sapporo chitose airport and get out at the sapporo terminal, then take the subway to the susukino station, get out from exit no. 5 and walk about five minutes to the hotel. the whole journey takes about 45 minutes. there are shops and restaurants in the close proximity of the hotel. there are also underground walkways in the susukino station with shops and restaurants on both sides. the walkways are spacious and link to three subway stations. the hotel provides breakfast free of charge though there is not much variety. there is no wifi(but internet) in the room and public area of the hotel but there are two computers in the lobby for guests'use free of charge. the staff are courteous and understand a little bit english. the sapporo station is a main interchange station where you can go to most of the places by taking the subway.

friendly staff and spacous room

Hotel is not located in the main street so that is not easy to locate at the first time. It seems a very new hotel as the taxi driver is unable to identifly where is it, due to there are four Hotel Route Inn in Sapporo. Apart from this little complaint, everything is very positive, a spacous room with all brand new facilities, very friendly staff and have a nice public bath,... will stay again when I visit Sapporo next time.

Big room, great breakfast, outstanding location”

Great location, 1 block to Susukino station and 3 blocks to Tanuki koji shopping arcade

i stayed here for the sapporo snow festival and the hotel was just everything i could ask for. it was just a block away from the subway station, which also has an underground shopping area. you can walk here to odori park, where the snow sculpture are, to avoid the freezing cold outside. also the ice sculptures in susukino are also just one block away from the hotel. there is also an roofed shopping arcade 3 blocks away that houses akaboshi, one of the best ramen places in hokkaido. for japanese standards, my room was big. i think the room can sleep three people. there is also a heated public bath in the hotel and coin laundry. and the breakfast was great!

One block from Suskino Station and Suskino Ice Scupture site, very nice public baths, perfectly clean, very safe, amazing staff, convenience store next to hotel

the hotel staff went above and beyond to help us. when we complained about the heat not getting warm enough, they brought up a heater to ensure our comfort. the hotel was perfectly clean. the location was perfect for us for the sapporo snow festival -- just 1 block from suskino station and the suskino ice sculpture site. the hotel, was also incredible safe. you needed your room card to get onto your floor in the evening. and to get into the women's bath required a key card.

it was so impressive that all staff were kind and tried to explain how to check-in, use key card and public bathroom for women even though they couldn't say a english word at all. that's ok because there's the body language people communicate commonly in the world!! also, the hotel's recently built, so the room i stayed was quite clean. above all, accessibility between the hotel and susukino station satisfied me.

Rented a car from Chitose Airport with GPS. Even though it's supposed to be English the words are all Japanese. For foreigners, it will take some getting used to. Hotel has parking service for 700yen a day. Rooms are typically small but clean. The view is great at night. Hotel is conveniently located near food joints and the night life of Sapporo.
