I guess the old gentlement is the host. Please ask him for gears rental n lift tickets. Hotel offers special discount to these and he ll show you where is the rental shop n where to change the lift ticket. Although he can't speake English, but he ll use the translation machine to help communication.

The most wonderful hotel I have ever stayed.”
I was taking my Ski instructor course & exam alone in Hakuba. The owner of the hotel, Mr. and Mrs. Sasaki were taking care of me like their own family. They help me buy lift ticket and rent ski equipment, and let me have lovely dinner with them. Although my Japanese is not good, I still feel they concerning about my ski exam, then we have a little celebration together after I passing the exam. It was so lucky I stayed in their hotel and had a great time with Mr. and Mrs. Sasaki. I will definitely visit them when I go to Hakuba Valley!

Nice host, affordable price, delicious breakfast, not far to Tsugaike Kogen gondola”
Host is very friendly, room is with bathroom, no onsen in hotel, you can go outside for onsen if you want, have facilities for ski/sb, delicious breakfast, within 10min walk to Tsugaike Kogen gondola station. However, it’s a little tired when walk back to hotel from gondola station because it’s uphill. A convenient store near the hotel.

Great location, clean facilities and helpful staff. Inexpensive, considering that it is within walking distance of the ski slopes. Looks a lot better than the photos. Would absolutely recommend.

Owner didn't give me the tatami room I booked”
Actually the owner is amiable, but I didn't have a good staying experience. Cons: 1. I booked a Japanese-style room. But the owner was just willing to give me a single-bed western-style room. Because he said tatami room is for at least three people. If so, there should be a number limit before booking or canceling my order in advance, but not changing my room without notification when I checked in. 2. Then I found somthing wrong with the air conditioner in my room. There's only cold air. The owner said waiting for 10 minutes but it was still not wokring. He did not change my room but gave me another portable heater. The room is already small, then I had to move more space for the heater. 3. WiFi signal is only available in the lobby, not in the room. 4. The basement isn't a dry room, just a place to put your ski/snowboard equitments. There's no heater or the owner didn't open it. My SB binding was still wet in the next morning, not to mention my boots.

口コミにもあるように、本当にご主人がとてもいい方で、突然の夕食のお願いにも快く応じていただきありがたかったです。夕飯代が少し高いかなと思いましたが、とても量が多く、食べ盛りの子供とでも食べ切れないほとで、満足できました！ トイレがウォシュレットではないので、気になる方はそこが注意です！

理由があって和室を予約したのに、１人だと自動的にシングル洋室になると言われ狭い部屋だった。 後から予約した友人は、部屋の指定はせず１人なのに和室だった。 それを伝えても、agodaのせいにしていた。 ウェルカムコーヒーの得点ありと書いてあったのになかったのでそれも伝えたが、知らないと言われた。 支援割りで割り引かれた料金を払おうとしたら、それはagodaがなるからうちは関係ないと言われて、正規の値段を払わされた。 調べて携帯で予約画面を見せたら、ホテルの書類の見落としだった。 不満だらけです
