Gorgeous facilities in a quiet, picturesque area! Great place to stay if you have a vehicle, perhaps the only downside is the location offers few choices for dining. We would have gladly enjoyed the Funky Flamingo, but sadly this and the adjacent shop were closed due to COVID :( With that said, beautiful Hotel, and happy with our stay.

Hotel is part of a strip of hotels ”
Mixed feelings: very comfortable, new and well equipped room. Shower room is great and the Santa Monica is next to a big souvenir shop. LThere is no facilities for dinner on the premises nor a pool. Breakfast buffet is recommendable but lunch and dinner need to be sourced from other hotels. You basically spend your day and evening hopping on a free shuttle that goes up and down the resort area or you can walk from one end to the other in 40 mins. The Santa Monica guests have to cross the street to the Breezebay hotel to go swimming. We arrived on a Sunday morning, lots of restaurant options were already fully booked. The Italian restaurant despite serving the resort was closed on Monday. We ended up at the food court to eat a self-service (Line up, order, pick-up, return dirty dishes) which is fine for those willing but a real deception for the ones looking for a great setting and relaxing time. The resort is not great for an easy in vacation, too much moving needed. The beach is not bad for those snorkeling but not good at all for just dipping . All is à la carte; the beach chairs, the pool, thé equipment for snorkeling. No beach towels. Also be reminded the resort is 20 minutes from town with no pharmacy or any convenient stores. We went once but won’t be on the list of redos

The hotel itself is quite ok, the staff very friendly and helpful (as anywhere in Japan). Location is far out (car is required), no facilities (pool is in another hotel and closed in winter), no direct access to beach/sea. No fitness room, very little to do on rainy days. Make sure, if you book this hotel book it with breakfast - there are no other options around and individual breakfast prices rather high.

I WILL NOT COME BACK AGAIN”
THE SWIMMING POOL, on the other side of the street, at the other hotel, you want to laugh so you don't cry. there is a small beach near the hotel, even this beach appears in the hotel's area photos, to get to it you have to go through a small trail that the forest has already taken over. But for the corals that are there, it's worth facing the forest but it's not worth paying the hotel's daily rate.

Will choose this hotel again! ”
Since we didn't want to spend a lot of money on the hotel, we went with this more because it was ecomicall. We thought, ”we’d save money on the hotel and spend that money on marine activities instead.” We were delightfully surprised when we arrived at the hotel. It was new and clean, and the hotel staff was very friendly. Our room was an ok size for just the two of us (especially considering this is Japan.) We chose the breakfast plan based on the reviews we read, and were we glad we did! The breakfast buffet was fantastic!! They had everything; freshly baked bread, pastries, eggs, sausages, cereals, fresh fruits, traditional Japanese breakfast, Okinawan food, and a good selection of drinks. The buffet catered to different food preferences, so we could enjoy different things every morning. It was definitely worth the money, and we had a good experience with the hotel. Next time we are in Miyakojima, we will choose this hotel again without hesitation.

New clean room”
The hotel room is new and nicely furnished. There is bus shuttle that brings you around the Shigira Resort, so that helps with moving around the resort (you can dine at the different restaurants, facilities around and nearby the different hotels within the resort) if you don't have a car. The hotel also provides a complimentary airport bus shuttle to and from the hotel. Do book that in advance with the hotel though. The beach is about 10 min walk from the hotel. Do note that this hotel does not cater for 3 pax in a room (there is no room to add a futon or extra bed) the only option is to book a separate room for the third pax. Staff were generally friendly and they try to help whenever we had questions.

Sea brezze and casual”
Got free transportation between the resort and both airports on the island, made my trip much easier. I love the American style design of hotel Seabreeze casual, and together with that Funky Flamingo Bar right across the road, pretty dreamy experience . Staffs are very friendly and helpful . love it

Everything you may need is located within the resort area, including dining and snorkelling equipment. Staff were friendly and helpful, and gave good, detailed instructions on how we could get around the resort and where we could rent equipment. The room was clean and spacious.

Not bad. If you’re not driving then it’s too far from the scenic n city area n it’s hard to bike there cuz there’s many uphill. The only transport the staff recommended was taxi but it’s pricy if we take taxi everywhere. The nearest beach is too rocky n we got little cuts from the rocks. Not much around the hotel. Not much food choice too.

バーン!とオーシャンフロントで、設備も綺麗。お風呂がゆったりしてて個人的に気に入りました。冷蔵庫は2ドアで大きいし、テレビも大きくて、備え付けのケトルもバミューダとなかなか。ただ、いろいろ最低限なので、タオルもバスタオルとフェイスタオル1枚ずつ。足りなかったので翌日の交換の時に2枚もらいました。あとお茶も煎茶一個なので色々持っていくと良いでしょう。カップはマグカップが4つもありました。 スタッフさんはとても丁寧で気遣いがあるので頼みやすいです。 あと備え付けの卓上鏡が重宝しました（笑） 部屋のお掃除は3日に一度なのでいちいち片付けなくて良いので私は気になりませんでした。タオルはバスケットにいれて部屋の外に置いておくと交換してくれます。それが早くてびっくりしました。お水も新しい物をくれました。 朝ごはんはハーフビュッフェというタイプで基本のセット3種を頼み、サラダやフルーツは取りにいけるタイプ。でも他のセットとアイテムも食べたいものがあれば頼めるそうです。9時半過ぎに行ったのに嫌な顔せず通してくれました。ラストオーダーも聞いてくれて、ラスト客になってもどうぞごゆっくり、という感じでとても丁寧な接客で良きです。 夕食はリゾートの中にあるいくつかのレストランが便利。竜宮苑さんは地元の友人の勧めもあり行きましたが美味しいしここも接客が良いのです。宮古牛を食べたいなら中落ちカルビがオススメです。超美味しかったです。特選の高いやつは値段考えるとまあまあかな〜くらいです。コースもあってこちらはお得な感じでした。 近くのお土産物屋さんもいいものを取り揃えている感じで面白かったです。 16時から夕方にかけて過ごす場所がないのでそれは気をつけてください。（笑）
