Opulence and cleanliness are the best way to describe this hotel. Rooms surround the interior courtyard lobby with natural light. Lovely and bright. There is a fitness room, spa and sauna that were just as opulent as the rest of the hotel. The hotel is located near the Parliment, a walk from the metro station and very near the tram, which runs along the river. A delightful place to stay!

The stay was pleasant despite the fact that the staff at the rooftop bar was relatively unfriendly and had no service-mind. The room was small but very practical and the bed was comfortable. We had a wonderful breakfast, lots of choices from tasty warm and cold selections, the staffs at the breakfast room were very thoughtful, attentive and friendly. There is a wellness club and swimming pool at the Basement of the hotel, but with our booking, we were't entitled to use them, or unless we pay around EUR 15,- per person per day, which we found it, ridiculous for the guest to pay such amount to enter to the swimming pool at the hotel. The receptionists were helpful, though some speak little English, they tried much and put lots of efforts for us, so that we had an enjoyable stay in Budapest, thanks to the young receptionist girl, who were very friendly and attentive. About the location, we love it, the hotel located at the prime-business location of Budapest, very safe area to walk at night and all day long, only less than 2 minutes to US Embassy and a few minutes walk to the Metro Station and less than 10 minutes to Parliament House. Overall we are fairly happy with our stay at The President Hotel. Personally, we rate this hotel 3.5 stars.

This brand new 5-star hotel say they are aiming even higher than 5 stars..They success! The interior gives a unique atmosphere that is connected to the famous restaurant and bar. The breakfast, roomservice and not at least the dinner in the restaurant is simply delicious. Servispeople are on spot to help out at all times. We did not try out the spa(The prices for the treatments are quite high compeared to what you can get elsewhere in Budapest). We were lucky and got to spend 3 nights at this fantastic hotel included breakfast for only about 440 Euro in total for 2 persons! A lot for the money! (Compared for what we get home in Norway..). 23. October is the National Day of Hungary, and people gathered right outside the hotel for speaches and television, marking the day. The hotel lefs a letter in our room the day before, informing about this. The crowds were calm, and we experience the Hungarian people as very friendly and calm. A moment to remember was when they played the National Anthem, and we where inside the hotel that afternoon, hearing the people sing. Beautiful! The only negative is that the have a constructionary proble that the water from the shower is floating out on the bathroomfloor. This is under work.

A group of friends stayed for nearly a week at Mercure while attending the Formula 1 race. The hotel was very well located in the tourist area, but within easy walking distance of Metro stations to go elsewhere in the city, and easily serviced by taxis. Location is near the river, great area for walking, some shopping, lots of restaurants. Hotel was clean and well maintained. Included buffet breakfast had a good selection of food, good quality. Room was a bit small but was comfortable and clean. Staff was very helpful, helping us with directions, restaurant reservations, taxis, etc. Price was right. I would stay again, with friends or a family on a return to Budapest.

Very good stay. Lovely room - just a pity no view of the Danube. Attentive staff - one day, I was unwell and needed a chemist - I was shown where to go - later that day, the same porter came over and asked how I was feeling - and gave me some complimentary Vitamin 'c' from the spa !!! So sweet !!! Only one downside - our last day ans our flight was not until 6.30. The first check in guy said he thought we could stay in our room until late afternoon, but on checking with his supervisor, she was very abrupt and said we couldn't sat in our room as they were fully booked. That's fine, but she was dismissive and did not offer any other suggestion or even a place where we might change/freshen up later in the day. oh well - the rest of the stay was good. One last thing - the breakfast was VERY expensive. Much better to go out of the hotel to the local square and have breakfast in a cafe.

this place is a winner all around. it seems very new and clean. the rooms have laminate floors that are kept clean. my bed was very comfortable, a great shower, and above all, the breakfast had lots of fresh, healthy food. and the location is good--about a 10 minute walk from 2 separate metro stations, 5 minutes from the bridge to gellert hot springs, etc. the rooms are not huge, but plenty of space for me or for 2 people.

The best thing we have made for this trip is chose the right hotel.Inercontinental Hotel is situated in the perfect location to view the Buda Castle Hill and Chain Bridge, night view is magniciant, you will be amazed how gorgeous it is. Hotel is clean and staff are all very friendly, especially from the concierge. Move around is very easy, tram station is just in front of the hotel and metro station one block away. If we visit Badapest again, we definitely go back to Intercontinental.

The staff in reception was still friendly even I arrived the hotel after mid night (I did state for late check-in in the booking). It is less than 5 minutes walking distance to metro station - Ferenciek tere. There is a supermarket (Match) nearby and also very close to shopping street - Vaci utca. Room is a bit old and small but clean and tidy, good enough for budget traveller like me. If you live on second floor with big or heavy baggages, then you may need to carry them upstairs.

I traveled around Europe by myself and I stayed here just 1night. It's close to metro station by walking about 3mins. this hotel is inside the building. you should watch buildings wall carefully or you passed it easily. you can find the golden name plate in front of the building. The one thing that it was hard a lil bit for me is to open the first door by key when I went back there after10pm. I had a twin room located along the street side, it was nice view i could see the beautiful museum from the window. (in the morning, there were lots of people coming around museum because it was a national holoday. it was good)

budapest panorama central is on the 3rd floor of a historic looking building located close to the main transport center. the hotel is situated only a few minutes of walking from the astoria metro station on the metro red line. the budapest panorama central has only 12 rooms and we had confirmation for two nights during 26-28 april but we were informed by agoda that we had to move to an alternative apartment because it was fully booked. we had to re-book the budapest panorama central on 1 may and we were pleased with the hotel. this is a great value for the price we paid although the entrance is a bit old and not very nice but once you arrive the hotel which has been completely renovated in good design. the room and bed are clean, well serviced and our bathroom has a nice jacuzzi. the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Very good location with less than 5 minutes walk to Kavin ter Metro station. Practically can walk to every where within the city since the location is quite good. Unfortunately, the National Museum which is very near to the hotel (as we planned to visit) was closed for renovation. Cafe Intenzo near the hotel is super good with reasonable price. Breakfast was very sufficient with good spread. Very good service provided as the receptionist assisted to prepare takeaway breakfast on the last day during our check out. The only concern is that the cleanliness of the hotel needs some improvement and the front door of the hotel is at the quiet alley. The renovation at the opposite building made it a little unpleasant when going through the alley to the hotel. Overall experience is still not bad.

It was right next to Four Seasons Hotel and we could see the chain brigdge from the street in front of the hotel. It was only a couple of minutes walk to the bridge. It was also close to the metro station. Walking distance to many siteseeing places like St. Stephan cathedral. There were nice streets with lots of good restaurants near by. The room has a large living room and a bed room, which was large enough for two of us. The hotel staff was all very helpful and friendly. I'd recommend this hotel to any friends who will visit Budapest.

Before I review this good hotel, I want to warn who reads this against a restaurant where we were ripped off. The restaurant's name is Buborék Bisztro and its address is Dorottya utca 8 (this is very near to that known square called Vörösmarty Tér). If you ever eat there, beware of prices of wine because they charged us 3500HUF = 16US$ for just a glass of wine (it was our fault not to ask beforehand how much this would cost -we just assumed that it would cost what a glass of wine normally costs all over Western Europe-, so they took advantage of our "innocence" to ripp us off). Now, with reference to the City Hotel Pilvax, we were very satisfied with the location (it's in the heart of Pest, very close to Ferenciek Tere metro station which line is perfect to get to the airport), with the staff (very nice people), with the room and with the breakfast. The room was not so big but its size was enough for the two of us (picture attached). It was very clean, it had 2 comfortable beds, good heating, a not so big but very clean bathroom (picture attached), a convenient wardrobe, a couple of chairs, a desk, a normal TV set (not flat screen) and a small refrigerator. The sleeping quality was also good. We didn't hear any noise at all from other rooms and neither from the pedestrian street where the hotel is located even when our room was on the first floor (there is no elevator). In regards to the breakfast, we loved the breakfast room (see attached picture) and also the breakfast which offered much more than a usual continental breakfast. There was scrambled egg, small hot sausages, 4 types of bread, pieces of tomates and other vegetable, 2 types of cheese, several types of cold meat and cold sausages, butter, 2 types of jam, yogurts, bananas, apples, oranges, cereals, cold milk, hot milk, tea, coffe and fruit juices. Finally, let me mention as well that in the hotel lobby they have a computer for guests (and there is also wifi).

the hotel was very well located in downtown budapest, just minutes walk from the landmark hungarian parlament building. it was also close to restaurants, pubs and a shopping centre, so you get around easily. was also close to the m2 metro station. the staff were polite and friendly and willing to help at all times. breakfast was good too, has all the elements required for a complte meal.

The hotel is located just at Astoria metro station, so I wouldn’t be bothered to walk so long to find hotel, the hotel itself is quite historic and well decorated old fashion, receptionist is helpful with checking in-out and I’ve just noticed that there’s bellboy, who stand and wait for asking not offering some help lifting luggage or escorting you to room, well historic hotel and with this service culture tends to authentic luxury European, i surely expected something coz of the hotel standard, the room I got is decorated old fashion as well but Big bathtub and comfy bed just pillow is too small for me fortunately I booked double room and stayed there alone so it was fine , I rather go to Eurostars hotel where is located just a minutes walk from this hotel but more modern and pillows are far better

I should start by saying the staff is extremely helpful and accomidating. When I arrive they were over booked and had made arrangements for me to stay elsewhere. (I was put in Marmara after the first hotel I was to stay at was overbooked.) The hotel was very clean and the bed was comfortable. However, I was a bit shocked to find out that a hotel billing itself as a four star hotel did not have somethings a basic as Wifi or the complementary water and tea/coffee in the guests rooms. There is internet access via eithernet cable or tv that you can pay to use in the rooms. That said, they could not get the internet to work in my room. It was winter and the heater was on max - so no worries about being cold here. I spent the night with the window open trying to keep from sweating in the room. The hotel is quiet but dark in the hallways and rooms. The hotel is located near one of the main streets and a metro stop making it easy to get about the city. Despite all the frustrations associated with my staff, the staff honestly did their best to solve any problem that arose and I do appreciate that helpfulness.

This was one of the best hotels I've ever visited. I'd chosen it for its high rates in online travel services and I wasn't disappointed. The rooms were cosy, nicely decorated with a modern feeling, and quite roomy. Room service was also very good. One of the greatest aspects of this hotel, other than its services and friendly stuff, is its location; it sits two blocks from the Danube river, and just one block from the start of the venerable Vaci street. It's also very well connected, with bus and metro stations right across the street, and a tram station one block away. My only strife was with the hotel's WiFi; the signal in my room was too low and the network kept disconnecting. The hotel stuff provided me with a UTP cable, but it turned out that either the cable was bad or the RJ45 plug was dead. On the other hand, the signal was quite good in the hotel lobby and restaurant/cafeteria. Another minor shortcoming was that the room windows had no shutters but just light curtains and rooms from the two wings of the hotel were facing each other.

First, the staff at the hotel are incredible. Quick to arrange anything you want. The hotel itself is gorgeous and the location is absolutely perfect, right opposite the Chain Bridge. Its the kind of hotel you look forward to coming back to. Room and bathroom are also very nice. Beakfast was good but the hot food, eggs, pancakes, etc. were a little below par. Charcuterie is excellent. And the bar makes wonderful cocktails.
