"I really liked this hotel as the staff are very courteous and kind. Although the staff have limited English capabilities, they still try to understand what you are trying to convey and help in the best way possible. I only followed Google maps in locating hotel by foot and it was a very easy find though a bit far coming from Sannomiya station. The buffet breakfast offered a lot of varieties and it was the best breakfast I had in my entire stay in Japan. Also notable is the room size, it was big enough for a typical size in Japan! From my window I got an excellent view of both the mountains and the port! Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel when staying in Kobe."

"You would go to Rokko island definitely only for purpose. The island is totally a residential area with a very great environment. My room was on the second highest floor. The sea view is just awesome. The breakfast is on the highest floor, mainly served in Japanese style and some breads, with the all round view of Rokko Island. Although the staffs can't speak English, they are still very helpful. The only thing needed to to concern is the main entrance is inside the art museum."

"Many are likely to be hesitant to book the hotels labelled "Adult only". Out of curiosity, we booked a stay and were quite pleasantly surprised. Firstly, the room was huge and so was the bed! The amenities were great- they provided facial cleansing oil, toner, body lotion, bubble bath and a hair band on top of the usuals. The tub was huge with a tiny wall-mounted TV, although it only had one documentary channel. There are adult videos, but it is clearly labelled and you can avoid it easily by not clicking on the icon on the menu. Popcorn, soft drinks and candy are provided at the lobby, where you can also choose your preferred brand of shampoo if you do not wish to use the ones already in the room. We could leave and re-enter the hotel freely, unlike some of the earlier reviews here, but had to swap out our key cards every 24 hrs. A good stay!"

"We stayed at this hotel on two separate occasions when visiting Kobe for the Rugby World Cup, once in a ‘western’ style room and the other in a ‘Japanese’ style room. Both rooms were slightly smaller than expected, although large enough for our short stays. They rooms were clean, although maybe not the spotless standard we’d come to expect throughout Japan. The ‘western’ room had an outlook onto a brick wall - but that didn’t bother us as we barely spent any time in the room but did make us chuckle! The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, helping us with our luggage and letting us store it there after check-out so we could explore the city. There is also an Onsen Bath on site - a nice touch to this small hotel, but if you’re looking for a full/traditional Onsen experience look elsewhere! Overall we’d recommend the hotel for a short stay, it’s location within walking distance of the Shin-Kobe station was the main draw for us. "

"highly recommended. I got to the hostel very late in the night because I took the wrong train. I tried to contact the hostel but couldn't send the email by agoda that night...I'm so touched that when I arrived at the midnight the staff is still waiting for me. The staff gave clean instructions about which facilities are where, and English conversation was understandably. One pity is the public bath is man and children only, and they didn't mention that in the booking page. Another is that they don't provide separate drinking water, but I don't mind drinking tab water in Kobe. Besides these two things others are perfect!! woman private shower room are big, mix dormitory room are huge, bed is clean, cozy, and with curtains. I even got my private big hanger, can't ask for better. Need to climb up and down for a bit for using tab or toilet, but I don't really mind. Great place to stay!!!"

"I stayed 2 nights in a single room which has lots of room for Japanese standard. The staff were very nice and helpful. The hostel has kitchen where you can cook if you want to. The location is very close to 2 local stations and it’s opposite rail track, so it can be noisy sometimes. I put on ear plugs and it was alright for me. You can leave your luggage before and after check out which was a plus for me as some hostel won’t allow you to hang around in the common area. There is a supermarket about 5 minutes walk and it has excellent and cheap food for lunch and dinner. I has a pleasant stay and would recommend this hostel. "
