"We enjoyed our stay very much and would not hesitate to return to this hotel. We accepted the offer from the registration desk to upgrade our booked room from a smaller room to a more spacious room, NOT FACING THE TRAIN TRACK with an extra cost of JPY 1,000 per night. The room we had upgraded into was very spacious, quiet and very comfortable. We understood that the room we originally booked through Agoda was smaller and facing the train tracks, therefore it could be noisy. We were glad to pay extra for a better room for our two night stay at Hotel Metropolitan Nagano. The hotel is within very short distance to local train and Shinkansen station and local buses. It takes just 15 minutes by bus to Zenkoji Temple from the hotel. Walking from the hotel to Zenkoji Temple is an easy walk, about half an hour. We took a local train to Obuse, a small town famous for its huge chestnuts grown locally. We visited the Hokusai museum in Obuse."

"Ok this place was absolutely amazing. I normally never write reviews but felt compelled to for this hotel. Location - a few mins walk from Nagano Station Cleanliness - this place is MAD clean Aesthetic - the design is beautiful and it really creates a really relaxing vibe Facilities - the onsen was AMAZING. Like really good. They also have late night free ramen Room - really nice room, extremely clean, etc. Only complaint was the pillow was like a buckwheat one and wasn’t good for me. Highly recommend this place, one of the best stays I’ve had at a hotel, and it wasn’t even super expensive. "

"Hotel location is perfect. Few walks to the Alpico bus terminal that travels to and from Tokyo, near train station, midori shopping mall and Don Quijote. The room was not that big as compared to other hotels we stayed in tokyo during our first night. But we decided to extend, our 2nd night room, price was little bit higher, was perfect for a family with young children. The staff were very nice especially the night manager on duty during our last night, Mr. T. Hiro (hope i got his name correct). His service extended to us was certainly the best, extending extra miles to help us. It was indeed amazing. Will definitely come back and recommend this hotel. "

"I booked 2 rooms for my family of 3 young children. Check-in was efficient and the receptionist even offer me non-smoking rooms upon noticing my kids. There are free amenities and drinks at the lobby. Location of this hotel is close to Nagano Station with many nearby shops and restaurants. The hotel rooms were quite spacious for Japanese standards, very clean and comfortable. The staffs are very helpful and speak good English. My family and I will definitely stay in Chisun Grand Nagano or other affiliate hotels in the future."

"Very cheap room with free breakfast, unfortunately I asked for non-smoking room and was given a smoking room smelt like a chimney bit better when I let some air in but definitely value for money near the station. If I was given a non-smoking room I manage it would have been a better experience."
