We stayed at the Prestige Hotel for 4 nights as our mini honeymoon before Christmas and I can only say what an amazing hotel it is with outstanding service. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Service – before even getting to Budapest I’d emailed the Prestige concierge a number of times to ask about and book some activities (theatre, riverboat dinner cruise and spa tickets). Every time I emailed them, they were quick to respond and always happy to help, nothing was too much trouble. Then throughout our time with them, whenever we needed anything, the reception staff were on hand to sort it – amazing service all round. Location – the hotel is perfectly located just 2 mins walk from the Széchenyi Chain Bridge, on the Pest side, to allow for easy access to the various sights of Budapest, on both sides of the Danube. It is also only 5 mins walk away from St. Stephens Basilica in the heart of the restaurant and bar area. Thank you Prestige Hotel for making our stay so special.

my objective was to see budapest mainly on foot, using a comfortable (i.e. uk 3 star standard) hotel at a reasonable price. hotel president delivered on this in all respects. it is a business hotel with all the facilities you might expect and yet the service was always friendly and personable. there are lots of restaurants nearby, but oddly, the best meal i had during my stay was in the hotel (pike perch. i hasten to add that this was in the ground floor, not the roof top restaurant. views were certainly good on the roof, but it felt like you were on a helipad, prices were very substantially higher and they insisted on playing loud music. i'd stay there again, if i had a similar deal ( around per night off peak).

Fantastic location as it is walking distance to almost everything. Cafes, restaurants, shops are just around the corner and Enna (receptionist) was very helpful and welcomed us with a beautiful smile. Travel tips though given were a bit disappointing as there were others that are cheaper than the Hotel's recommendation, i.e., Big Bus Tour is good value for money which is not in the Hotel's list. You can get a ticket from Big Bus tour which includes the bus day and night tour, Danube river cruise, hop on and off for 2 days. The 2 long lampshades that drops from the ceiling by the bedside are not the best as you can hit your head if you are not careful. But overall, the Hotel is on a great with the friendly staff!

mercure city center hotel is ideally located in very center of budapest, in famous vatci utca (main pedestrian street) where lot of h palaces, places of interest, restaurants and shops can be found. well known bridges connecting banks of danube river are in close proximity as well. it’s walking distance to all attractions and museums. hotel is very well managed, great service, rooms are very spacious, clean with refrigerator, safe, good aircon system, modern bathroom, but bed could be more comfortable (too soft mattress is not what i prefer). hotel provides free wireless and can arrange taxi to pick you up/take you to the airport - one way 23 euros). next to hotel is excellent italian restaurant which i would warmly recommend (avoid those restaurants with "traditional cuisine" on huge square situated right from hotel and next to new shopping mall, its lousy food there, not worth the money!) budapest is definitely one of the most beautiful cities in the world, but 2 -3 days will be quite enough to see the most important city can offer. i would definitely stay again in hotel mercure city center if i go again to capital of hungary ! please note, if you want to stay in very center, make sure you booked “mercure city center hotel” since there are several “mercure” hotels in the town.

We stayed at Bohem Art for two nights as a result of the great reviews I have seen for this hotel. The hotel met my expectations. It was comfortable, a reasonable price and lived upto the great reviews for the breakfast buffet. Definately worth the money for the choice of food and free champagne you can choose at breakfast. Comfortable hotel with good amenities and friendly staff. Rooms ok size for the price and great location on the Pest side close to the Danube river, city centre, restuarants and bars.

When I was about to check in I was told there was an error in my reservation - the days was offset by one day and they had expected my arrival the day before! However, without any argument the receptionist kindly offered to correct the booking free of charge, even though the fault was not at the hotel. I was amazed they didn't use the situation to cash in a few extra $$ but I guess it shows their dedication in making the stay as pleasant and free of troubles for the traveler as possible. A big star in their book for that! As for the rest of the stay, it was worth every cent. The location is about perfect for Budapest, close to the river, the main shopping street, and right next to the metro and trams. The rooms was very well cleaned and even though small (they warn about this on their page) the space is well used so they don't feel that small. And the breakfast was very well for being free of charge. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended! (Business travelers beware, there is a computer at the lobby and a free wi-fi hotspot, but the wi-fi does not work from the rooms.)

The hotel location is excellent. It is in the middle of the city in beautiful surrounding with the Danube river nearby. It is within a very easy reach to Metro line 3 and several bus stops. The hotel is located in an imposing old building, with rooms refurbished and an excellent restaurant attached where the breakfasts are served as well. Our room was clean and comfortable with all necessary things provided, the breakfasts excellent, the staff is very helpful and friendly. Ours was a very pleasant stay and we are waiting to go back again.

We stayed in one of this hotel's studios (we've no idea how the standard rooms are) which are very large in size, has all you need - kitchenette with electric kettle, plates, cuttlery, etc. There is also a laundry machine (don't know if it works, we didn't use it). It was very clean, in good condition, and a nice wine bottle, on the house, expected us when we arrived. Wifi was available for free, the connection was very good. The location is great: about 3 minutes walk to Astoria (which offers good metro and tram stations) and from the great synagogue, 5 minutes walking to Vaci Utca, less than 10 minutes walk to the great market. We also felt very safe coming back to the studio late at night. Just notice that the studios are not located in the main building, which is exactly opposite the National museum (but they are about 5 minutes by foot, and the hotel offers to take you there in a taxi, free of charge, at least when you check in). The studios are located in 20 Puskin Utca, in a nice apartment block. The reception is open 24 hours (we arrived around 01:00, and had no problems), and the staff was very kind and assisted us with some weird requests (translating few things to Hungarian...). At whole - we had very good experience and definitely recommend this hotel to anyone we know who intend to visit Budapest.

The location was perfect, very central and everything you need is right at your door step. We came from Prague Florenc bus station and took the Flexi bus to Kelenfold Budapest station -which was a 7 hour trip .THEN took the 49 tram ( we bought the tickets including our 100E bus to the airport and the 49 tram immediately to avoid the hassle later , the 48 tram platform is in an awkward position which is to the left of the metro station passing by the taxi rank to the back.) the 49 tram will bring you straight to Astoria metro station and the hotel reception building was 1 minute walk to the right across the street. Hotel is in a very busy street and there’s noise from the traffic but it did not really bother me. Checking in and out was very easy. NO Need to go back to the reception to check out which is very handy especially with our early flight, you just have to pay your city tax 2.50 euro for 2 nights for 2 people as you check in. Receptionist was very nice and spoke very good English who gave us clear Instructions on how to access the hotel room. Lift in the 2 buildings were of big help. We were in the building right across the street from the reception building and no hassle finding it. . Area is very safe a lot of people were walking late at night on their own. HOHO right outside the building of the property - we used the red bus which was excellent service on that day and I even got a discount since I booked the tickets in one of the agents there standing on the streets - be sure to ask for a discount if you like, and I thought the HOHO was very necessary since the tourist areas were far from each other and they are very beautiful to see. Online booking is better but we need to have it printed so I just went to the agents on the road which were very friendly! There’s lot of restaurants and bars around and very inexpensive. We only use our debit cards to purchase anything and only had exchanged euro to HForint in the Great Hall market thinking that they won

Greetings from Pakistan!! I was traveling with my wife and a three and a half year old son. I initially booked the hotel for two nights and later on extended it for another two days. The extension of my stay was done without any hassle. The hotel is beautiful and the room had everything that we needed. The staff was super super friendly and they were so kind to us and especially to my kid offering candies and spoiling him all the time. The breakfast was enough for us, that we didn't need to have lunch. The lift was slightly old, but it works perfectly alright. The washroom was modern, and the rooms were very clean. The best part of this hotel was its location. It is very very central, and you can see many places within your walking distance. Also, you can find a super market very close to the hotel, and a delicious "Istanbul Doner Kebab" is also available within your walking distance. I would not mind staying there once again, if I travel Budapest once again.

We can only rave about the hotel and the staff. Comfortable, clean, quite and stylish rooms (yoga and sauna room downstairs!). Breakfast was amazing, and healthy! fresh fruits and veg, organic juices, pastries, jams... plenty to choose from for vegetarians also! This is really like what you see on the photos. Staff is super friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated in a safe, nice area, walking distance to the Danube, to Buda and also to transport stations (tram, bus, metro). Close by are cool and yummy eateries and cafés.

Starlight was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, largely due to the fantastic staff and their service. The rooms are large, bath very nice with huge tub. Breakfast was fantastic, hot and cold options. Istvan, (Stephan) the manager did everything he could to make our stay easier...booking tickets, making calls for us, even baking us fresh croissants while we were waiting for our night train! He could/should be working at the Four Seasons! Thank you all...you make this a very special place! Georgia

Very modern contemporary hotel. Great location. Excellent breakfast. Hot and cold food including English breakfast. Free tea , coffee and bottled water until 5pm in lounge area. Staff could not do enough for you. Always smiling, very courteous and very professional. Little touches like weather forecast on your breakfast table, parting gift as we left and complimentary bottle of bubbly for the birthday boy made you feel special. Hotel spotless. Use of jacuzzi and spa free. Couldn’t fault this hotel. Only one thing I wasn’t keen on was the frosted bathroom door in your hotel room. Understand it’s the look they were trying to achieve but not ideal when you want some privacy when on the toilet. Otherwise highly recommend.

a very central four star hotel with clean, comfortable rooms and excellenct service and vast breakfast buffet varieties. it offers a romantic holiday experience for young couples as well as for a bunch of friends who want to explore the vibrant city. it is a 5 min. walk only to the parlament and to the danube river, 15 min. to the place where you will find the most amazing bars for the night (dob utca). you will do nothing wrong with this hotel.

We loved our stay at the Kempinsky Corvinus, overlooking the Elizabet park. The metro entrance is just 70 meters away, and the Danube is just a couple of blocks. The pool and spa are fantastic. The pool is not large but the current means you can swim without reaching the end. The interior of the hotel is quite chic. Our main disappointment was not scheduling a dinner at Nobu, but a Michelin starred restaurant is within easy walking distance. We'll definitely plan to stay here on our next visit.

We had 2 nights here and although we booked a studio, we were upgraded to a 1 brm suite. It certainly had ample space. Furnishings were lovely and the kitchen was fully equipped and everything was in good working order. The location couldn't have been better - just steps away from shops, bars and good selection of restaurants. We were taking a river cruise next and it was an easy walk with our cases to the pier for embarkation. Checkin was a bit slow (1am) and we were given a room on the 5th floor but when we got out of the lift, no such number existed. However, this was quickly sorted out and no real drama. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

This was one of the best hotels I've ever visited. I'd chosen it for its high rates in online travel services and I wasn't disappointed. The rooms were cosy, nicely decorated with a modern feeling, and quite roomy. Room service was also very good. One of the greatest aspects of this hotel, other than its services and friendly stuff, is its location; it sits two blocks from the Danube river, and just one block from the start of the venerable Vaci street. It's also very well connected, with bus and metro stations right across the street, and a tram station one block away. My only strife was with the hotel's WiFi; the signal in my room was too low and the network kept disconnecting. The hotel stuff provided me with a UTP cable, but it turned out that either the cable was bad or the RJ45 plug was dead. On the other hand, the signal was quite good in the hotel lobby and restaurant/cafeteria. Another minor shortcoming was that the room windows had no shutters but just light curtains and rooms from the two wings of the hotel were facing each other.

The location is excellent. It's only 5 minute walk to Vörösmarty square and 2' walk to the Tram #2 which runs along the Danube on the Pest side. Breakfast includes many local dishes. The room is very clean and looks fairly new. We stayed here for 3 nights then went to Vienna. When we came back from Vienna, we stayed at another hotel for our last night. We should have stayed at the Zenith Budapest Palace again since it's a much better hotel and has much better breakfast at similar cost. I would stay at the Zenith Budapest again and would recommend this hotel.

First, the staff at the hotel are incredible. Quick to arrange anything you want. The hotel itself is gorgeous and the location is absolutely perfect, right opposite the Chain Bridge. Its the kind of hotel you look forward to coming back to. Room and bathroom are also very nice. Beakfast was good but the hot food, eggs, pancakes, etc. were a little below par. Charcuterie is excellent. And the bar makes wonderful cocktails.
