It was my fist trip to Bandung and as I searched the Web for budget accommodation, the name "Hummingbird" caught my attention. But there was no review on Agoda for me to gauge the quality of this guesthouse; apparently because it was relatively new. The rate was certainly within my budget and the location description seemed quite good -- it being close to the few popular streets of factory outlets and trendy cafes. But I was hesitant as I needed to be assured by at least some positive comments from someone who had stayed there before. As I searched the Web further, I came across a blog review of the Hummingbird Cafe, which is part of the Hummingbird Guesthouse. The review of the Cafe was excellent. And as the Cafe also caters to guests staying at the Guesthouse, I thought to myself that there must be lots of satisfied Hummingbird guests too. I'm glad to say that Hummingbird Eatery & Guesthouse (that's the full name on its signboard) won me over totally. I love its creative and arty decor along the hummingbird theme. The room was clean, cosy and comfortable with FREE wifi which is so essential in this smartphone age. Location is very good -- near to Riau and Dago, the two streets popular for their factory outlets, and also not far from Jln Trunojoyo where some distros are located. And true to the review on the Cafe that I read, the food was delicious, so much so I had most of my meals there. As for the staff, while they didn't have the starchy smartness and professionalism of staff in 4 or 5-star hotels, they were nice and seemed to be more cheerful which fits in well with the entire atmosphere of Hummingbird.

Great location and very professional staffs”
My mum and I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. We found the staffs are very helpful and very friendly. The guesthouse has only 8 rooms but they are all spacious and clean. The restaurant downstairs is also clean . The staffs are also very professional. Something happened on our last few hours at the hotel which left me very impressed to these days. My mum misplaced her diamond ring. She must have either dropped it or misplaced it in the room. I went back to the room after checking out trying to find it but I couldn't find it. We have plane to catch in a few hrs and we headed to the airport. Before leaving the Guesthouse, I informed one of the receptionist about the incident and left my email address with her just in case they found the ring. The ring has a huge sentimental value to my mum therefore she was a bit upset losing it in the first place. Anyway, when I arrived home from the trip, I received an email from the Marketing Communication Department, Fiena F Affiani that a member of staff has found the ring when cleaning the room. I contacted them and they agreed to keep the ring until my next trip. I went back to Bandung to collect the ring and stayed there for a couple of nights. The reception I received was overwhelmed and I was so impressed with the professionalism of the staffs. I have no qualm of returning back to the Guesthouse if and when I am there in Bandung. Well done to the Hummingbird Guesthouse. I will be back!!

Always satisfied and happy to stay at hummingbird ”
This is my 2nd time staying at hummingbird guesthouse and I will definitely stay here again if i come to Bandung. Its about 5 mins walking distance to Jl Riau factory outlet and indeed the room is quite spacious. It's fully equipped just like a 5 star hotel and it has a mini fridge,boiling water, safety box, LED TV with cable channel,internet access in the room, Complete soap dispenser comes with shampoo,conditioner and bath soap. I just love the modern wardrobe with frosted glass. Its awesome and it comes with complete bath towels and small hand towels. The setback is that internet in my room is sucks and the management should improve on that. Btw, my room was in the 2nd floor (Costa room). Early in the morning, i was awaken by the noise from downstair and i'm not sure from where. Probably from the kitchen area or at the lobby area. In future, the management will try to minimise it. Overall i'm very satisfied with my stay there and will definitely return back

comfortable place to stay for a short fun escape”
I am more than satisfied to stay at Hummingbird Guesthouse. Thouggh it is called a guesthouse,I think it is best describe as a 5star guesthouse :) I only stayed for 1 night in Bandung with my husband after attending a friend's wedding in Lembang. I really need a rest and Hummingbird offers a very comfortable large bedroom with a comfy bed, large bathroom, clean toileteries, many pillows and cable TV. They also provide wifi, though sometimes the connection run slow. Just in front of the guesthouse, they have a really good restaurants with quality food. You can reserve seat by phone as the restaurant is always full, not only with the hotel guest. However, since Hummingbird has no facilities like pool, garden, etc, I would recommend this hotel only for a short visit.

Affordable & comfortable stay with Hummingbird”
We stayed at Hummingbird Guesthouse for 2 nights. We arrived Bandung pretty early. We deposited our bags at the reception and went off to check out the local restaurants and local streetwear along Jalan Trunojoyo. The guesthouse is located in Jalan Progo very easily accessible from airport. We had lunch at nearby Japanese restaurant then checked in around 1:30pm. We had the Berryline room. There are only 8 rooms at the guesthouse. Breakfast was awesome! You'll receive breakfast coupons upon checking in. WIFI available from room but kinda slow. We came back late on the first night wafter watching Mono at Dago Tea House. Most restaurants around the area was closed. One of their staff helped us to order McDonalds delivery since we were starving. Excellant service! Staff was approachable & accomodating. Thank you for the awesome stay Hummingbird! :)

Comfortable stay with the best cafe ever!”
Our stay at Hummingbird Guesthouse was excellent. It is a beautifully designed hotel, with very comfortable beds. The staff are attentive and helpful, and although not everyone speaks English, there will be at least one person who can help us with questions or booking taxis. The breakfast is included in the room rate and portions are huge and most things were delicious. We tried a couple of cafes in the area and none were as good as the Hummingbird Eatery. The rooms had things which you could buy if you like, and although we didn't buy anything, it's an interesting concept. The only drawback was that the rooms were not soundproof and at times it can get a little noisy. Bring along some ear plugs and you're fine!

Clean, Cozy, Value for Money”
i was afraid to get a disappointment when check in at Hummingbird Guesthouse because there is only few review on this hotel but surprisingly the room is much better than expected. We had a very clean, comfortable, nice design room and enjoy our stay here. Restaurant attached with the guesthouse also provide variety of foods. kids like to play at the playground and the staff provides good service as well. very recommended! thumbs up!

the guest house have a a great resto in frontage area, the cuisine is good yet affordable. the room itself is really nice, big, hommy, interiror was great, old style building with a modern touch of furniture. all of the goodies support by recylce stuff, really enjoying stayyed at Hummingbird guesthouse. Top recommended place to stay in Bandung, close to shopping area and local resto, have lotta neighbour resto along Progo street. nice staff anyway :)

Beyond expectation”
It was my first time stayed in Hummingbird Guesthouse. Staff are very helpful and responsive. I wish i could mentioned reception guy who helped us to buy the mineral water in the middle of the night. What i love most is the restaurant which served delicious F&B. Well compare to outside, its not very cheap but worth it. Food portion quite big. In term of location, it is very near to Jln Riau FOs (about 5-10mins walking).

Very good relax here”
pros: the hummingbird eatry & guest house is located in the jalan progo, not far from the lively riau and merdeka streets, also dago is within walking distance. progo is a very quiet area at night. the staff was very friendly, although only some of them speak english well, others couldn't understand me, but was ok. the restaurant serves delicious food at a very moderate price, i was delighted by it! very nice eatery, it's always fully packed, but closes a bit early (10.30pm.). then, the design of the hotel interior is really precious and beautiful, you feel cosy and at home. also, the shower and the water pressure were very nice. cons: although i found my stay at hummingbird very good, there are some cons. first: it's located near a school (i thought, but couldn't see it), on both my mornings it was very noisy, starting from 6.30 pm and i got up both times because of that. then, the bed is quite soft, i got some backache because of it.

Nice & Comfort”
Hummingbird Guesthouse was our second hotel (5 night stays in Bandung). We stayed there for 2 nights. After our fast check-in (friendly staff), they transfer our belongings to the room (3rd floor). When we enter the room, wow, its very clean and tidy. We have our dinner at their restaurant. The food was nice with acceptable price. We will consider to stay here for our next trip.

Relaxing Stay In A Lovely Space”
We had a wonderful stay at Hummingbird Guesthouse and it was our first time staying in the Riau area. The place has a homely feel and the room was clean and well organized in terms of layout. Clean towels and basic toiletries like toothbrush and shower cap was provided. As the window shutters at the side of the door are not closed, it was rather noisy at times when there were kids. And you can hear people walking up and down the stairs. I would recommend that the guesthouse do some sound proofing for the rooms so that noise would not be a problem for the guests. The Hummingbird Eatery attached to the guesthouse was an excellent place to have our meals and chill out over lovely desserts and good coffee.

Cute. boutique guesthouse with a cafe upfront”
Hummingbird is essentially a cafe upfront with a guesthouse in the back. The cafe itself is always busy with a young crowd from morning till night. For good reason! The food is great! Good balance of indonesian and western food, with quirky decor! The guesthouse itself is equally quirky, clean rooms and beds. All your basic needs are met, clean sheets, air-conditioning, towels, toiletries, mineral water, tea/coffee facilities. The only qualm is the area around the hotel is quiet at night, but you can always cab to Ciwalk or Setiabudi for night shopping!

Lovely Guesthouse...Well worth a visit”
first time stayed here.perfect location in progo street.close to major factory outlet eg: the heritage f.o, the secret f.o, for men f.o, terminal tas f.o etc. beautiful rooms with flat screen tvs, quite clean & well presented property. my friend & i had a delicious dinner at their own hummingbird eatery. at all times i felt very welcomed & relaxed. all in all i would say this guesthouse is definitely worth staying in if you ever visit bandung. furthermore, there are many nice decorated cafe along progo street ;-)

Overall, the stay was enjoyable. Fast check in process(We requested to c/i around 12 PM), Large room. We had Berryline room on the 3rd fl. Spacey with king size bed. They gave us a small pouch upon check in as merchandise. :) The hummingbird eatery itself is in entrance of the guesthouse and serve top quality of food & drinks. Overall, everything is recommended. Very well done, Hummingbird. Will be back...

A Homey Retreat”
I love the ambiance this guesthouse provides, the comfort and cleanliness, as well as the staff. The location is perfect for a lot of places within walking distance. This is a 2-star hotel, so don't expect facilities such as a swimming pool or gym, but, there is an adequate amount of TV Channels (if you really have to stay in), and hot shower (though sometimes it takes a wee bit of time of heating if you are on the top floor). I do appreciate the in-house phone service and warmth of the staff, the prompt and initiative the staff has concerning the comfort of the guests, and the cafe itself presents a wide range of delicious meals that I can't get enough of. Another very satisfying stay at Hummingbird!

Great stay @ Hummingbird”
It was my first trip to Bandung and I was really undecided on my choice of stay. Eventually, I chose to stay @ Jalan Progo as I was charmed by Hummingbird. I couldn't be happier with my choice of stay. The check-in process was smooth, each and every hotel staff was polite, gracious and friendly, the room was clean and spacious, bed was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. One thing to highlight: The bathroom was huge and spacious. No complaints whatsoever! Will be back definitely!

Great hotel, great location”
I really like staying here!! The hotel amenities are all provided, even towel bar hanger. But one more thing should be added, hairdryer! I didn't get breakfast in agoda package, but you can just go Hummingbird cafe downstairs to have your wide selection of breakfast. Quite noisy at night and too limited parking space though. parking area are all packed with the cafe customers. They should provide special parking space for guesthouse. It would be awesome.

Hassle-free, accessible to cafes and shopping”
our stay at Hummingbird was very pleasurable. The staff were super friendly and the cafe at the hummingbird is a fun place to hang-out with such a nice interior design and lovely al-fresco area. Would definitely recommend people who wants to shop and cafe-hop in bandung as there are many factory outlets, shopping stores and unique cafes around the area.

Check-in & check-out were fast, the staff friendly & attentive. The room was clean & bed comfortable. Loved the theme & ambience of the hotel. Breakfast & meals were excellent albeit a bit pricey. I'd have expected breakfast to be buffet type instead of a la carte. Best to include breakfast with the room when making reservation. The Eatery had a very nice atmosphere & cosy. The hotel was close to a few Factory Outlets & nice restaurants. Overall, Hummingbird Guesthouse is highly recommended especially for a short stay.
