Initially we got a very small room, I asked for a bigger room and they gave me but I have to pay for a upgrade price €6 per night. Although it was not clear when I booked that they have two room sizes, so would be useful if this is made clear at the time of booking so customer can make the right choice. Otherwise hotel is good, breakfast is included but it is a OK breakfast. Location is good and very central.

The hotel did upgrade my room to bigger one and very nice service mind. Hotel's location is very close to Eurail station and city center, you can walk 15-20 minute to reach all landmarks. It's convenience during staying in the hotel. There are so closed to shopping city and many restaurant. It's quite far from old city on the top of mountain and across the river but you can walk along the main road to reach the bridge. it takes 20-30 minute but you need to across the couple main street. At night is quite unsafe by walking back after 8 p.m. The city is so lively and beautiful. Nice city tour is great with lighting decoration to all landmark. Budapest is a perfect choice for discover.

the hotel location is pretty closed to Budapest centrl station and also there is one train station just beside the hotel , so travelling is very easy , you can hop on the train / bus / tram , take the train go to buda area , then take bus go to buda castle , the view from there is eally worth it , you can see the pest area ( parliament and the famous bridges )

wait to get there for the breakfast deal, it will be discounted to a reasonable price. airconditioning did not work, so they had to upgrade us. then everything was very nice. good choice at a very reasonable price.

Exceptional”
Conveniently located near a train station, and with shops and amenities nearby. Bed is nice and comfortable, but the smallest room doesn’t have a lot of space to lay out luggage, etc. Toilet can be a little small too. Nonetheless a very nice and simple hotel to stay in if you’re not too particular! What I loved too were the extra touches such as a free gaming machine to play classic games like Atari and Sonic in the main reception area, as well as a waffle maker for breakfast!

Friendly staff and good location”
The place was very hype and staff was friendly. They are most likely to answer any questions you have with no hesitation. The free drink station (coffee, tea, water) at the lobby was a very nice touch, especially when you need a hot drink after a long day out walking in the cold. Rooms are well maintained and clean. Very comfortable. Only issue I would say was that you could hear the vehicles by the road, especially if there are sirens. But I could live with it. Overall, fantastic. Would stay here again.

Great. The location is good, and felt safe. They have supermarkets nearby. It is also to near to nice retuarants - New York cafe. Easy to take public transport. The room facilities are clean. Free wifi. It is a pity that the room rate does not include breadfas.

The stay in itself was perfectly fine, however the shower facilities left alot to be desired and the plug in the bath let the water out. The shower in itself really needs replacing as it has a severe lack of power and is about 2 foot too low! The room could do with being decorated as paint was flaking off of the bathroom door and the finish of the room looked scruffy and unprofessionally fitted.

Handy modern hotel near Keleti Station”
An old building, refurbished to modern standards. Very handy for thr metro and trams, and just 1 stop on the metro from Keleti Station.Rather scruffy area, but didn't feel unsafe, as busy at all times.

Very basic nothing out of the ordinary”
nothing to shout about. this hotel is as basic as you can get. i expected more from the mercure group. rooms were dull and often pretty noisy from traffic right outside.
