Great location for Kawah Ijen”
We had a great stay at the Guest House. It is near to Mount/Kawah Ijen (45mins away), a great alternative to Arabica Guest House. While I have not been to the latter to make a comparison, Ijen Resto Banyuwangi Guest House is clean especially the attached bathroom which may matter a lot to some travellers. But they do have limited rooms and a rather thin blankets which can be improved on. Being a little on the tall side (5'11''/179cm), the blanket was a little short but nothing to fret over.

Great service by Pak Asmat”
We arrived late and was promptly brought into our room for check-in. The light in the room was dim. Pak Asmat was kind enough to help us to arrange for a jeep in such a short notice to bring us to the mountain to hike. He also helped us to negotiate for a good price to bring us to Ketapang ferry terminal as well. Slept at the guest house for a very short while only. Room is spacious with a small TV and cupboard. Plenty of space to put our backpacks. Toilet door is glass and not able to lock. There is hot shower available.

On the way to Ijen”
Our stay was only for one night. We arrive by train and were driven to there by a local taksi (count 100k for the trip). At the hotel we met with Tony who picked us up in the morning for the climb to Ijen crater (entry 150k/pax). The hotel was nice and clean. The staff not so english speaking but nice anyway. Would recommend this one again.

it was a great choice coming from Bali as it is on the way to Ijen, 30-45mins away. The toilet and the room are clean which are important to me. Hot water is also available in the shower. Fair price too!

Simple and nice people”
We arrived at night around 7pm they gave us two old rooms and I found it quite isolated And the mosquitos net was very dirty with lot of insects. My husband asked for another rooms and they gave us two newer room with cheramic tiles which was much much better. Dont know why they dont gave us this newer room from the start since no one else in the hotel. I found the clean standard of the hotel is very low but the staff were very happy to do the cleaning once you asked. The food was good but not always available in full menu.

Rip off prices”
For a 1h drive from the Hotel to the starting point of the Ijen-hike they charge 450'000 Rupiah. As reference: A Driver for the whole day is around 600'000-700'000 Rupiah. As I wanted to order a taxi, the staff wasn't helpful at all and did not want to give me a phone to make a quick call. They even said that a taxi is more expensive which was not true at all. The only good thing about the Hotel is that its is only one 1h away from the hiking start point. But yet I recommend to stay in Banyuwangi in a better hotel even thought it takes 2 hours to get to Ijen.

Goods: Place is ok. Rooms are fine and have a good bed, bathroom and enough space. Also, it was clean. It is located 16km away from the Kawah, so it is well located. Restaurant has a small menu but the food was good. Bads: Staff don't speak english (we had to use Google translator to comunicate). First night, they tried to charge almost 30k rupias more for a beer. We had a strong discution because of that, so then they changed the price. Wifi didn't work properly

No shower”
Impossible to take a nice shower, only little drops came out of the shower. We were with a big group and only the showers in the cheap rooms worked properly. Also lots of mold in the bathroom. The room was alright, there was no airconditioning or fan but we didn´t need that. It´s way too expensive for what you get.

Mala experiencia”
Es un hotel aislado a la orilla de la carretera de subida al volcán. Llegamos a la tardecer y no había nadie que hablase inglés. Las habitaciones son de rattan muy sucias y sin mantenimiento. La primera habitación en la que quisieron alojarnos estaba super sucia y ni tan siquiera habían vaciado los residuos de la papelera dejados por el anterior huésped y no la admitimos. Las que nos fueron ofreciendo después estaban similares en suciedad. Lo único bueno es su jardín. Desaconsejable.

Le seul endroit en indonésie où le personnel est antipathique. L'hôtel est déprimant. Rien à y faire. Les chambres sont chères pour une prestation trés médiocre.

Un enfer... Fuyez !!! Vous ne trouverez pas pire.”
Un véritable cauchemard ! Le personnel ne parle pas anglais, impossible de se faire comprendre rien que pour avoir une bouteille d'eau, passons. Pas d'eau chaude, chambre salle avec des traces sur le linge, salle de bains insalubre, cuisine abominable, passons encore. Des rats qui courent toute la nuit dans le faux plafond de la chambre, vraiment moyen. Mais le prix exorbitant demandé pour monter au Ijen révèle que ce sont vraiment des escrocs !! Ayant beaucoup voyagé (backpaker) je peux vous assurer que c'est le pire hôtel que je n'ai jamais vu. Un conseil : fuyez ! Une honte pour Agoda de proposer cet hôtel.

Gute Lage, jedoch dreckiges Klo”
- Das Bad in unserem ersten Zimmer war komplett anuriniert. Haben dann ein anderes Zimmer bekommen. Sind aber nur mit Schuhen ins Bad gegangen. - Internet hat bei uns nicht funktioniert. + Das Essen war sehr billig und auch gut. p.s. Wenn man von Bali aus nur einen Abstecher aufs Ijen-Plateu plant, ist eine Übernachtung auf Java eigentlich nicht nötig. Man kann alles spontan von Bali aus organisieren (auch im Juli/August).

イジェン火山へ行きたくて、バニュワンギ中心地からIjen火山に50分ほど進んだこちらのホテルをとりました。 自然の中のコテージといった感じで、雰囲気はとても良かったのですが。。。 英語を話せるスタッフが皆無。 この立地からして、イジェンへ行くインフォメーションがあってもいいのに、向こうからはなにもない。 こちらが翻訳機を駆使して、やっと車を手配をしたい旨を理解してくれる。 ひとグループにつき500Kでした。これは他の方のレビューで想定済み。 ひとりだときつい値段かも知れませんが、迎えのジープには最高5人は乗れそうですし、シェア出来れば悪くない値段です。 ジープは午前1時に迎えに来てくれます。 しかしながら困ったことは、部屋にコンセントがない！！ 携帯の充電も出来ず、ドライヤーも使えず。。。 これには参りました。テレビや照明はあるので、電気は来ているのですが。。。 あと、トイレが水浸し。サンダルがないと絶対無理。 トイレットペーパーのホルダーはあるのに、ペーパーがない。 朝食は7:30からとのことですが、頼むと30分以上待たされました。 スタッフの態度が、遊びでやっているような雰囲気で、お金を出しているのがバカらしくなる。。。というのが本当の気持ちです。 シャワーに関しては、水圧、温度ともに満足です。 バニュワンギ(クタパン港)までの帰りの送りは150Kでした。(1時間くらいかかります) でも、クタパン港もしくはバニュワンギまで車で送ってもらっても、その先のインフォメーションを、このホテルの人達は全く知りません。バスもしくは電車でスラバヤに行くのか、バリに行くのか、タイムテーブルは等、聞いても全く役に立ってはくれませんし、調べてもくれません。 もしもインドネシア語がわからないなら、こちらのホテルは難しいと思います。 この地域の違うホテルを薦めます。 朝食はかなり待ちましたが、この旅でのベストオブナシゴレンでした笑。
