Poor value for money”
- The view was exceptional. - the breakfast good and diversified - the room didn’t look like a 5 star hotel, the furniture and the electronics (hairdrier, telephones) seemed very old - they put us only a small shower gel tube for two persons. The first day, I thought it was a mistake, but the second day, after the lady from the cleaning came, it was the same. I had to speak at the reception to resolve this issue, in my opinion, unacceptable at a 5 star hotel

Worst customer service”
From the check in to breakfast buffet , i did not appreciate staff attitude and behaiver. They didn’t use polite launguage and have bad attitude. Check in : staff kept me waiting until the room is ready. I went to counter for twice. Room condition : old and small but clean Breakfast buffet : the worst staff i ever met. They didn’t let me seat in 4 people seating table. Which is fine but the way they explain was very inpolite. And i saw discrimination between asian family and blond couple which should not happen. Shame on them. Overall very disappointed experience and highly unlikely to come back.

Simply the best”
This was our first trip to Budapest and oh boy did we love it. Firstly when you book your room ask for a river view as its so beautiful to watch the boats pass back, the museum from across your room is breathtaking. Now if you ask for the Executive room you will have a splendid view of the river and life below on the street from the Club Lounge. This hotel is walking distance to the Parliament House, Chain Bridge and the former Royal Palace plus some of the local shops and restaurants. How often can you find someone who really enjoyed their job and we found Marietta from the Spa having just that. Its like oozing out of her and one cannot but help to have some spa treatment from her (of course we bought loads of products too). The staff at the Executive Lounge became like family as we saw them most of the time. Like at Hilton Millenium Seoul we actually saw the General Manager at the kitchen and talking with the doorman. Intercontinental Budapest has made our stay at Budapest one of the most memorable one and I encourage anyone going to Budapest to stay at this hotel (its so close to the riverfront). Well done Intercontinentl Budadepst and Marietta (you have got a fan here!!!)

We stayed at Intercontinental Budapest for 4 nights, Aug 15 to 19, for our daughter's wedding. The location was perfect for us, since the wedding party happened across the street, in one of the floating restaurants. Excellent services and exceptionally pleasant and helpful staff.

Great Hotel in Central Budapest”
We spend 5 days in Budapest and really enjoyed our stay at Intercontinental, located right by the Danube River with stunning views, especially in the evening. We decided to include Club Access which is highly recommendable and good value for money. We also recommend the SPA and the fitness center which is very modern and clean. All in all a great stay.
