Comfortable with great location”
stayed at the intercontinental dusseldorf last week and can honestly i have never had better service anywhere. the staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. i received attentive service from everyone in the hotel. the rooms are satisfactory, the shower was excellent as was breakfast. great location great service great hotel.

Lovely luxury hotel”
We stayed at the Intercontinental in September 2013 for 1 night. The hotel is a true 5 star hotel with great service. When we arrived we were asked where we would like our room and the lady at the reception recommended us a room on the side of the school, as it was the weekend so it would be very quiet: it was! The standard room we had was lovely and spacious enough. Really good and comfortable beds. Bathroom and amenities are great. The bathroom has a window to the room and we had some difficulties in the beginning on how to close the blinds (tip: there is a button in the bathroom with which you can close it). The only thing I did not particularly like was the glass door of the toilet. It somehow kills the romance a bit if you can hear each other go to the bathroom and if you are afraid whether the other person might be able to see you through the blinds. However, the best thing about this hotel is its location: on the Koenigsallee, the shopping street of Dusseldorf close to many nice restaurants.

Nice hotel with a friendly staff”
Recently stayed here on business. Smart, modern hotel in great location in centre of the city with lots of restaurants & bars within easy walking distance. Rooms were of a high standard, better than most InterContinentals and it were suitably quiet, despite being in a city centre and the trams running close by. Only minor quibble was the old-style televisions. Strongest point was the helpful staff.

the intercontinental in dusseldorf is in a good location. it looks as if it is rather new or then lately completely redone. however there are some surprices: old crt tv, vastly expensive wired only internet (no wlan in rooms at all). breakfast was not the best i have had in a hotel but still good

the hotel is very nice, with large clean rooms, a beautiful atmosphere and probably the best you can get in dusseldorf. breakfast and roomservice are good. personnel is very friendly and helpfull. great location as well, in the centre of dusseldorf.

Comfy hotel in great location”
We have stayed in this hotel now 3 times, and each time we are surprised by how friendly the staff is. The location is great, right in the city center on a beautiful street with large old trees. if you are staying during the weekend, ask whether they can put you on the side of the hotel which looks out onto a school, as it is a bit more quiet. One thing I am not particularly fond of are the pillows of the bed. I discovered that there is actually a pillow menu but I unfortunately only noticed this on the day I left. It might be a good idea to actually put this pillow menu on the pillow, or next to the bed, so people will actually use it. Note: The hotel offers free internet, but at a low speed. For just looking up a few things this wasn't a problem, but in case you need a high speed internet you will have to pay for it.

th hotel is opposite to the best shopping area where you can find most of luxury brands. it is 5 minutes walking distance from the old town (city center) where you find restaurants, coffee shops, gardens & river. food is nice and staff is very friendly. i stayed there twice and for sure not the last.

Superb location and very nice room.”
Right on the Konigsalle shopping centre and next to the underground,but the more lively and interesting part of Dusseldorf is the old town, which is just 10 minutes walk. Recommended for both business and holiday stay.

Business hotel with nice location.”
crisp, nice business hotel in the middle of things in düsseldorf. however after booking through agoda and asking for twinbeds four months ahead we ended up with a queensize bed anyway. no wireless internet in the rooms, not even for a charge which is a joke 2012. not a particularly nice breakfast for the price and extremely slow waitstaff in the winebar.

Great hotel for visiting the Christmas market!”
We stayed here now several times and this time we came to visit the Christmas market. The location is great as the hotel is located only a few minutes walking from the Christmas market, which truly is worth a visit! The staff is very attentive and are happy to share tips with you on where to go and what to do. Our room this time was a bit noisy, I heard the tram several times, so you may want to ask for a room at a more quiet location. The room is comfy, except I am not a big fan of the pillows. I discovered that there actually is a pillow menu, but that was when we were leaving unfortunately. They really should put this menu in a more visible location. I believe I now found it in one of the cabinets. The bathroom is fine with nice products and a great shower. I do not particularly like the window to the room from the bathroom. Although you can close it with blinds, it still makes it a bit uncomfortable when you go to the bathroom. Note; please make sure to check your bill carefully on checkout, as I had a few minibar items that were added that we didn't take. Apparently the fridge has sensors, so if you just open it is may already indicate that you have taken something. Slightly inconvenient, but quickly and professionally solved at the reception.

Lovely hotel and service with a smile”
the hotel is very modern, with silent glass elevators and keycards that access rooms and floors with a simple wave. our suite was small but comfortable, with one of the nicer hotel bathrooms i have encountered in recent 5-star stays. the bed was very comfortable, and was a proper king without the middle divider that is so often found even in upscale euro hotels. staff are friendly and competent, and the hotel in general has the feel of a classy 5-star business-centric property. breakfast was acceptable but not spectacular. in all, a very nice property to which we would gladly return.

excellent hotel in an excellent location. the room size is very nice and sufficient with good size bathroom. the check in and out service was very good and the staff were very helpful during the stay. the internet service in the room is expensive and i think it should be free. the room service is good and they have an arabic food menu which is very convince for arabic visitors. the hotel location is amazing. overall it is a classy and beautiful hotel to stay in. highly recommended.
