This hotel is a very good hotel compare with value for money, it is not far from ishigaki town hall and easy to reach by bus. Further it is also provide free shuttle bus to her client travelling between airport to hotel. I also appreciate her front desk service staff friendly and polite service. Beside, it give me a very impression that is the welcome drink which serve with their local famous draft beer 'Orion' to customer. I am also highly recommend who have time to take a break at this hotel client , they do walking of hotel beach when the sunset, it view is quite beautiful.

The room is not big, but is clean and comfortable, but I think the mattress is too soft. I am highly appreciated that there is a washing machine, clothes dryer and small kitchen with all basic utensils, but it will be better if also provide detergent for dish washing. And the location is so convenient. There is walk-able distance to pier, bus stop, restaurant, and supermarket. I would also like to highly commend the hotel staff. Although they are not good at English, they still like to provide sincere service. I left my camera in a restaurant at Ishigaki and seek for their help to get it back for me. They helped me to find it back efficiently and send it back to my country for me.

I stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights with my boyfriend for an off-season visit to Ishigaki in March. It's a little unclear on the website, but breakfast was included with our room. I was really impressed with the breakfast: Yaeyama noodles that you could assemble yourself with tons of different noodle, broth and topping options. They also had free drinks available (coffee, tea, juices) in the lobby at all hours, and even had free awamori in the evenings. There's a good-sized awamori shop just down the street as well. The hotel is very close (within 5-10 minutes walk) of the main downtown area, including restaurants and the bus terminal and port. There's a Family Mart just across the street. I really loved this hotel and will definitely be staying here again the next time I'm in Ishigaki.

I just got back from my trip to Ishigaki, and wanted to take the time to write a positive review (I’m not usually one to write them). This property and staff were amazing. Our two bedroom suite was huge- so much space for my family to spread out. The suite was well appointed with toiletries, snacks and iced tea. The breakfast was terrific- so many local cuisine options. The staff was very helpful , helping us book reservations (our Japanese is limited). The location is easy access to the airport, and about a 15 minute drive to the port and town. There isn’t anything in walking distance, but that was fine by us as we had rented a car. My only suggestion to w the hotel is to add a sign in English for no Japanese speaking foreigners. We arrived at night in the rain and passed the hotel. Luckily google maps came to the rescue. I would stay here again should I find myself back in Ishigaki. Thank you to the staff!

My general impression to hotels in Ishigaki is: they cost pretty higher than expected (say when compare to hotels in Okinawa) ART Hotel Ishigakijima is as well slightly pricely than expected. Nevertheless, it is a good hotel with good standard - hospitable and helpful staff, the hotel is clean. The pool is not a big one but the water slide is a remarkable one. it is about 1/2 storey high with water gushing from the top - it should bring fun to the kids who dare to try (the slide is for 110cm below). Unfortunately I have not had the chance to use the public bath and to dine in there so no comments to the restaurant could be made. The key weakness is the carpark below the hotel is ALWAYS full and one have to park in the secondary car park with no choice. It is just a few minutes walk from the hotel - but the puddles along the way will always make one wet on his way back to the hotel when it rains

Great location, easy access (5min walk max) to airport bus, 2-10 minutes walk to get to many restaurants, local market, shops, etc. Staff was friendly, check-in easy. Facilities were okay! Understand that with the Ishigaki humidity, some aspects are bound to be expected. Given these circumstances, room was clean and adequate. Very hard bed - if you're not used to it, might not have the best rest, but it was okay. Balcony and the view were great to have. Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash) were great and much better quality compared to "higher end" hotels I've stayed in across Asia for work. Next time I'm back for work I would stay again just to have the balcony view, close access to everything and the nice toiletries! If you're the type of person that wants to spend most of your vacation in the hotel, look elsewhere, but if you want a place that is ideal for you accessing everything else Ishigaki has to offer, this is great.

Smile of the staff was just as bright and cheerful as the blue sky of the southmost island of Japan. They were especially helpful in doing restaurant reservation and looking up for tourist information. Location of the hotel is easily accessible from the airport, to different areas of Ishigakijima and even from other island to other island. Would definitely go there again if I visit Ishigaki again.

We stayed in Rasso Apartment for 2 nights. We found that the room is pretty neat, and everything is well equipped, even has a washing machine on the balcony. We liked the style of our room, half western (bed) and half Japanese (sitting room). Location is good, bus stop is just across the street, and got free bicycle rental, although we didn't do any biking because of heavy raining. Staff is okay, got the smile and service for the girl, but for the other lady, not quite. With this price, it is definitely worth to stay here in Rasso if you are planning to visit Ishigaki for few days.

We can communicate with the front desk in English, they provide the good service to us, and their breakfast is very good, we can eat and choose their different kinds of the delicioius food everyday. The location is very best, all the restuarants and souvenir shops is nearby. and the bus terminus is quite close. We will choose this hotel again when we back to Ishigaki in the future.

Price: Patina offers the best value for money. Unbeatable price with breakfast included in the rate. Breakfast - breakfast, with a great selection of fantastic western and authentic Japanese food, pastries and drinks Staff: staff that work in shift could barely speak English, however they are very helpful. Travelling around ishigaki with buses is quite a headache to some due to the infrequent schedules, however the staff still try hard to explain any question we had the best she can, offer us a bus schedule and circle in the stop/places we wanted to go. Expected some time to do the talking though. Room: clean, with nice amenities. There is a green incentive where u can collect points for not replacing the toiletries. However, we forgot to fill in the form the first night, the toiletries were still replaced though Location: unlikely other hotels in ishigaki port, patina was not conveniently located right next to the ferry terminal nor the bus terminal. However walking to these two terminals is just within 5-10 mins. It was nicely located in a quiet area away from the busy Main Streets yet still within a walking distance. Sometimes it is nice to have a little relaxing walking back to hotel after a full satisfying dinner with summer breeze. *This won't be a big problem for those who travel with car. Overall experience - great value for money, with nice Japanese coffee and cold green tea at reception that the guest can enjoy all time. The only thing regret about Patina is that it was so popular that bookings were full. We managed to book for two nights only with agoda online and regretfully booked another hotel which is closer to the port/bus terminal on the third night. Wish we could have stay the whole time at patina.

Loved the stay! The cabin may seem a bit small at first, but it's functional and cozy! Facilities were great, everywhere was really clean and provided for and location was perfect. Especially if you're going to be island hopping, you're going to want to stay here. They even have a Jacuzzi for ladies that you can make a reservation for and it's a great bonus to the stay. The receptionist that I talked to a few times - Watanabe, was super helpful, friendly and smiley. I'm always greeted with a nice smile each time I pass by the reception and he was so willing to give me directions around Ishigaki. Other than the slightly weak wifi, I have no complaints and would definitely recommend everyone to stay here!

This island is definitely best with a car or motorbike. Like many hotels it’s a drive to get to places of interest (but lovely driving around this beautiful island). Hotel is clean though a little dated in the rooms. Prices on the island are very inflated you would get something really nice on the mainland for this price but here you would have to pay 2-3x that. I recommend visiting outside of the height of summer as it gets boiling and humid! Skip ugly Okinawa main island and come here instead!

We had the most fantastic time at Villa Jusandi. The accommodation was spacious and airy but also very private and the whole time that we stayed there we only came across one other guest. It is just around the corner from the beautiful Kabira Bay and perfectly positioned for exploring the island, just make sure that you hire a car. By far the best thing about the property was the people that work there, they were lovely and so helpful. Yutaka was always on hand to offer wonderful recommendations for dining and it was clear that top notch service was a high priority. I would have no hesitation in recommending Villa Jusandi to anyone and it was the highlight of our trip to Japan.

Beautiful resort room with all needed materials. Staff were friendly. 45 min drive from city centre. There were basic cooking items in room. The hotel was in a remote area with only 2-3 cafes around but usually not open at night times. No shops around so u need to buy everything u need, including food for cooking if u want to cook at the city centre before u go. U may also choose the bbq dinner provided by the hotel to which the food and service were both good and recommended. The atmosphere and environment of the bbq area was very enjoyable. Overall, a recommended place for stay if u have your own car.

- very good location, close to bus and ferry terminal - clean - I really like the design of this hostel. Everyone gets their personal space inside the capsule bed. They even have the little table inside. - The only thing that can be improved is the room temperature. Sometimes it’s very hot inside, and I later found out that they only had one air conditioner on and it’s on 27 degrees whereas the outdoor temperature is 26 degrees lol. Seriously it’s hotter than outside and I kept sweating. It’s even hotter inside the capsule. - too many staircases to climb so it’s better not to carry a suitcase - overall it’s great to stay here. Would stay here again if I visit Ishigaki in the future.

We stayed in two different rooms at Emix (this review is for the dorms). The room has three sets of comfortable bunk beds and there's enough space for your suitcase or backpack. The bathrooms are shared but they're right across the hall. The guesthouse is clean, it's a good place to meet other travelers, and it's in a good location just a couple blocks from the bus stop, restaurants and shopping. They have snorkels and bicycles that you can borrow, a washing machine, and several kitchens that you can use. Nao is a fantastic host and we had several barbecues on the rooftop terrace during our stay. We wouldn't stay anywhere else in Ishigaki!

I intend to stay in Ishigaki for two days but we face the no.9 typhoon , it hit the ishigaki hard so all the airline are cancel We need to contineued stay in the hotel and need a help from all hotel staff The hotel staff help us a lot (try to call airline for us , help us as much as they can) All the facility and store in Ishigaki was closed , the hotel help the guess by provide a dinner (curry night!) for all of the guess I really appreciate the service mind of the staff !! And cleanliness of the hotel

Excellent hotel with nice surroundings and view around the hotel. Our room is facing the harbour. This hotel is very closed to the Ishigaki ferry terminal and bus terminal. Within walking distance. We took ferry to the outer islands one day and took the bus to other areas of Ishigaki another day. The room itself is pretty clean. Staff is helpful and offered to provide us a free shuttle from airport to hotel and vice-versa. There are also many restaurants around the hotel. Overall, this hotel is highly recommended for travellers if they are vising Ishigaki. Since it is worth the money to stay here, considering the location of this hotel.
