Great stay”
We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The room is big, had a little kitchen..so if you get tired of always eating out you can cook a basic meal. Grocery store just around the corner. The area was great, right in the old part of Kyoto. The train station is about a 10 minute walk. Room was clean, bed was comfy. Easy check in, only need your confirmation email and how to use an iPad. All in all great little hotel..and the free macha latte machine is AMAZING!

Clean and huge room”
The room was clean and consider huge. The room can fits 3 pax per room and the hotel provide microwave, minibar, even the portable induction with the cooking utensil in each room. No check in or check out counter. It's a self check in / out using the iPad on top the small table located just infront the main entrance. The hotel provide a take a break room complete with coffee machine and heater. You can use it for free especially after a long walk during the winter time and you can even have your breakfast there in the morning because they provide bottomless coffee. Location wise, 15mins walk to kiyomizu dera and 10 mins walk to Gion Station and walking distance to Nishiki market.

Good quality hotel”
First time staying in Kyoto on holiday. Hotel is located in a good location within 10 minutes walk of the nearest train station. Convenience stores, restaurants and local sightseeing all within walking distance. Easy to use self check in/ out set up with no formal reception. Room was perfect for our needs with a large bed (bed was hard however), good appliances (washing machine, fridge etc). All rooms were clean and to a good standard. Another positive was the free to use mobile phone with free data, very useful for using google maps etc. Would highly reccomend and will be staying again next time we're in Kyoto

Spacious room with good amenities. ”
Love the spacious room and big bed compared to rooms at other places in japan. Good kitchenette and washing machine. Very clean. Suitable for long stay. Location in gion was perfect, love the beautiful neighbourhood. Shops nearby. Automatic check in was easy.

Very easy and convenient check-in, spacious room for group of 3-4, complete basic facilities”
Our check in was quick and very convenient. They use codes instead of keys, which I liked. We were a group of 3, but the room had adequate space. I think it would still be enough for a group of 4. The room was clean and had a complete set of basic travel needs. Although, the phone that came with the room was not very useful because it was quite slow and hard to use (maybe because I'm not used to Android). But it was not a problem because we had our pocket wifi. Our check-out was also very speedy and convenient. They also provided free luggage storage, but you will have to go to their office, which was very near Kyoto Station.

Location Good”
Spacious rooms with all you need. Easy walk to all of the Gion district. Eateries an easy walk also to busses for link to the city. No shuttle bus from hotel back to the city on leaving was a dissapointment a as it seemed implied in promotion material. Hotel staff v/poor english and hard to get any sence from them. All in all though a good 6 days spent in Kyoto.

Good service spacious room ”
The service is superb. They have an information centre near kyoto Station and provide free shuttle to hotel. The room is spacious with 2 Queen size beds, like a mini studio. Even washing machine is provided. Location is not great as no metro nearby but can always take bus.

Exceptional”
The room was super spacious with two queen sized comfortable beds. Air conditioning kept us at the right temperature and the kitchenette was great for breakfasts. You could probably quite comfortably make dinners as well. We loved the area with temples, grocery stores, and subways nearby. We even walked here from the Kyoto station but taxied back at the end as it really was a bit far to walk with luggage! Would highly recommend and stay again. Next time we might bring children with us!

The BEST hotel around the giyomizudera”
It was the BEST hotel around the giyomizudera and sannenzaka. Everything was clean and you can use the laundry machine, kitchen in your room. To the Yasaka jinja, it's 10 minutes by walking. I would definately stay here again if I go to kyoto next time.

I particularly appreciate the provision of "handy" the data connected mobile phone which you can bring along as you go sightseeing in Kyoto. It was very helpful for us to find our way around the city. the room, toilet and bath are very clean. Kitchen is clean and well provisioned. great value for money. highly recommended

They have a shuttle service near kyoto station, room has everthing we needed, the free detergent for the washing machine and the drying area are added bonuses. Close to a supermarket. Would stay here again.

Basically you can explore the whole Gion while staying here. The room facilities are clean and useful, no matter you want to eat outside or buy something to cook yourself. The neighborhood is quiet but only takes 10 minutes walk you can find nice local restaurants, supermarkets, convenience stores and bars.

An unattended apartment type residence, difficult to be located and over-complicated check-in”
This residence is located 5 minutes away from main street and difficult to be located, however, it is only 10 minutes walking from the famous KIYOMIZU-DERA TEMPLE (清水寺) and Gion (祗園) which is quite convenient for non-driving visitors where nearby parking is crazily expensive. Advantages: a quiet residence with basic utensil supplied, air-conditioner and shower are good. Disadvantages: Self-served check-in, must have online connection for getting password before getting into the building, where an installed iPad is used for scanning of passport/id documents for completion of check-in, then the access code for your room is given after successful check-in - the whole process is quite complicated and we couldn't complete without the help of attending staff (not always here). Besides, no convenience store or eating place is located within 7-10 minutes walk, better to bring your own food before returning to this residence.

The room is big enough but the bed is a bit small for 4 pax. Easier to come with bus. Will consider this hotel if go Kyoto in future.

Biggest hotel we've stayed at in Kyoto. It has a kitchen which comes with equipped with utensils though we didn't use it as you wouldn't really have time to cook for yourself after all the sightseeing.

Good value for money”
The place is very near to Gion Bus Station, near sannenzaka. The room is like an apartment, have 2 double beds, TV, kitchen, washing machine, but still have a lot of space to open up luggage. I would say it's a bargain

problem with checkin ”
the place was great, however we had to check in another location which was weird considering when we arrived in the hotel, after checking in somewhere around kyoto station there was a tablet that said we can do a self check in... so aside from that the place is great since it's quite near gion and kiyomizu-dera. but it would be better if one can check in at the same place as the hotel instead.

Very good”
The staff are friendly. Though the shuttle bus to the hotel was late in picking us and dropping us at the wrong location, luckily I double check, the driver was kind and finally lead us to the right location. The hotel is about 10 mins from the nearest subway station. Though it is suppose to be in the Gion area, it does not seems to be easy to locate, because we could not find a taxi willing to take us from Daimaru back to the hotel, all claim they do not where it is even with the Japanese address and their map search. So it is not the best location unless you do not mind to walk.
