Although we only stayed for a night, the staff were super helpful and friendly. We lost ome of our bags on the way to Kyoto, from Osaka. Upon arriving to the hostel, the staff checked us and also assisted us by contacting the railway staff to look for our bag(language barrier is for real) It was found immediately and we cannot thank Yasu-san enough for his immense help. The place has clean and useful facilities. They offer a bike rental service at a low price at. Super love the color and look of the place and will surely book this place again

Great staff, ok location, noisy hostel”
The staff were amazing and let us check-in early. There was a good number of bathrooms and showers on each floor. It is a little bit of a walk to get to the main attractions, but you can easily hop on a bus or train to get to your destination. My main issue is the key cards required to get into your room. This was a huge issue for me. You could hear so many people banging on doors in the middle of the night because they were locked out. People were also partying until 2-3 am. There should be some sort of security guard on the premises patrolling the halls with this many tenants. Other than that issue, it is a nice hostel and you get what you pay for.

A great accommodation in Kyoto”
The staff is helpful and efficient. The location is rather convenient and quiet. The property is well run: rooms are clean, beds are rather comfortable, amenities are OK... The fact that they rent bicycles (either for a couple of hours of for the whole day Also, they have a great rooftop - the only drawback is that it's closed in the evening.

Just need to cross the bridge to reach train station, plus near junction with bus stops. Staff were very helpful in sharing information on public transport and attraction recommendations. Next door pub has cheap drinks plus events at night. Entrance to block was at 2nd level after some stairs, and room was at 3rd level after more stairs. You are required to change into in-house slippers after entrance. Towels can be rented at reception. Shared bathrooms contain cubicles with ample space. Cheap option, but would not have chosen dorm style hostel with shared bathrooms as I didn't have much convenient central choices when booking.

Good Overall, Comfortable Stay”
Overall a nice place to stay at Kyoto. The hotel is bit far from Kyoto Station around 10 minutes walk. But still acceptable. Price is really affordable and staffs are friendly.

I got the solo room. Its not bad”
The solo room was not bad. I got enough space for my stuff, a bed, a place to myself. It wasnt very spacious but good enough for me. As a traveler, I spent majority of my time outside exploring. I got privacy with the room when I come back to rest. Would recommend

Should he good among hostels”
But sharing room is not what I like personally, so I think I prefer hotel next time. Service is a bit cold but they did tell me what I need to know during check in. Generally clean. Got elevators and kitchen in common area. Mostly Caucasians enjoying themselves in the common area. In my room, all Asians.

Good location & fantastic amenities”
My husband and I stayed at K's for 4 nights in Kyoto. We were really impressed with how bright and spacious the hostel was; it really feels like a cutting edge, modern hostel that is perfect for budget travelers who want a place where they will be comfortable. The hostel had lots of information about things to see & do as well as places to eat in Kyoto. Although we did not take advantage of the cafe/bar, the prices on drinks were incredibly reasonable, especially in Japan where alcohol is very expensive. We also appreciated that the hostel provides many things like chargers, guidebooks, and umbrellas for free, and many other travel items can be purchased for nominal prices. The dorm we stayed in was spotlessly clean, as was the bathroom. The bunks were sturdy, and the cubbies under each bed that were lockable had more than enough space to store all of our travel gear. The rooms were bright and airy, and we really appreciated that we could use the wifi from the comfort of our own bedroom without having to always trek to the common area. Only downside is that although K's is only a 10 minute walk from Kyoto station, the area it is in did not seem to be great for restaurants or nightlife. It's quite a walk to the Gion district and other more lively areas, and we frequently just went back to the train station area when we were looking for food. Not a dealbreaker, but there are definitely more vibrant parts of town to be in! The location is really convenient for those using Kyoto as a base for other day trips.

I get to know about K's Guest House while traveling in Japan, first I stayed in K's house Mt Fuji which I found a great value for money, so I decided to try K's Guest House Kyoto. The staff was very nice, helpful and friendly, always giving advice about the best transportation options, they also help booking my seat for the airport limousine. The hostel is strategically located near to ATM, restaurants, bus stops, and Kyoto Station, walking distance to many areas of interest. I really like the concept and ambiance o K's house. Thanks!

Exceptional!”
We found a great deal on this site and jumped on it and we feel that we lucked out in every possible way. Easy to find the place, super clean, very well thought, the facility has well equipped self-catering kitchen, eating area with lounge, very good information board. If you forget to bring cords for your phones, you can rent them with 1000 yen deposit. McDonald's, Lawson, Mini Stop convenience stores nearby, and walking distance to many eateries. The reception can give you a map of places to eat, and a very useful map of Kyoto and give you great advice. We were satisfied beyond our expectations. I will stay at K's House in different locations in Japan in the future. I would advise everyone to use this hostel clean so that they can keep the cost down.

This hostel can easily be negotiated on foot from Kyoto Station. Just go out from the Central exit of JR Kyoto Station, cross the street towards Kyoto Tower and walk along Karasuma-dori (the street on the east-side road of Kyoto Tower, near Starbucks). Turn right at the intersection of Shichijo-dori and Karasuma-dori and walk for about 5 minutes until you reach Kawaramachi-dori. Cross a signal and then turn left on the first street along Kawaramachi-dori. You will find K’s House (white building) and Zen Café on the road to your right. This hostel is very easy to like for many reasons: knowledgeable and helpful staff, clean shared bathrooms, spacious common areas (living room, rooftop terrace and kitchen), comfortable dorm beds and free wifi. It was raining a lot when I was in Kyoto, and the hostel provides free umbrellas that you can borrow for the day. The Zen café beside it is a nice place to get drinks and meet people but is a bit dear. The hostel also arranges tours and sells bus passes. The hostel made me feel very secure. Their luggage storage room has a lock and can only be opened by a staff member. Will definitely stay here again.

I was so surprised the room and bathroom is so clean. The tourist from all of the world can use the kitchen to cook, chat with people easily, sourcing information. I recommend Backpackers Hostel K's House Kyoto is a very comfortable place.

THE BEST HOSTEL IN KYOTO!”
Stayed with them for three nights and it was such a shame I only did. K’s House Kyoto is best hostel I ever stayed at in Japan for my 10 days trip as a solo traveler. I arrived early in Kyoto as I took the night bus and the reception was open at 7AM. Asked them to store my luggage before check in and they offered me to use the bathroom which was oh boy! amazing! A hot & cold shower and tub (on the second floor). I had a good conversation with the staffs learning more about Japanese cuisine and history, they’re pretty fluent in English. What makes it more lovable is the bed, ugh made it harder for me to get up early. Met a lot of backpackers here and had late night conversations as everyone’s hanging out at the lounge area. Location-wise: 10-15 mins walk to Tokyo Station and a bus stop away to tourist spots. Cleanliness is natural for them, it was top-notch for a hostel. Tip: Be there at 7PM in Zen Cafe for the happy hour on the cocktails and check the view on the rooftop at night. 👌🏼

This place is very cozy for backpackers. Its facilities like public spaces, kitchen, laundry, rooms, bathrooms are very clean and nice. Although its location a bit far from Kyoto Station (by walking), i still highly recommend this hostel to everyone who visits Kyoto. K's is a kind of a very professional hostel, well-managed, well-service. 10 tumbs up (i borrow my friend's tumbs by the way :) )

Best Choice in Kyoto”
If you're looking to save money and have somewhere safe to stay I highly recommend K's House. I have stayed here before and always come back. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. One thing I really enjoy is they have a very big functional bath tub. I prefer to take baths versus showering so this was very nice. The staff is super friendly, available to help you if you have any questions. I had to ship a box of stuff to my next hotel and the staff did everything they could to help me with that. I am truly grateful for their service. I also got really lucky by staying on a not so busy day and there was only one other person in my dorm room. Also please check out the roof top for a beautiful view of Kyoto!
