Served its purpose but tired”

Dog friendly, proximity to Budapest

Hotel was booked 6 months prior to visit but, upon arrival, we were told that the booking had been cancelled, not by us though as we were attending the World Dog Show. Aggie, the manager, eventually managed to find us a room but only after I showed her the room confirmation. Lucky that she was working as she was the only English speaker at the hotel, this did cause problems with the other staff but she did give us her mobile phone number in case we required translations. The room was very small and tired,there was a small bathroom with shower which was suprisingly good. There was no restuarant or bar. The location was very nice and quiet with the exception of the very noisy dogs living at an adjacent property, sleep was disturbed every night because of these dogs - not the hotels fault but very annoying. Had problems with the electricty tripping out but reset it easily. Situated @ 15 minutes drive from Budapest.Overall, a budget hotel with a budget price. May stay again if we had to prepare the dogs for a show.
