I was in Hungary for a funeral and I booked the hotel at short notice. The place was easy to find and the checking-in experience was easy. The room was pretty basic but comfortable and warm. I had a kettle but no tea bags or coffee, so that was a bit strange. They made up my room while I was out between the two nights I stayed. 24 hour reception was very handy, too. The bed was comfortable, but because of people partying outside I struggled to get to sleep, even though I was very tired. Overall, I would definitely stay again, but maybe when I am out partying myself. Commendations to reception staff, everyone was friendly.

Poor condition ”
Hotel and room in very bad condition. They ask a deposit of 15.000 ft in case you "ruin something". That must be a bad joke - there is nothing left to be ruined in the room.

Great location, friendly staff, very clean.”
The hotel does not have a very appealing or modern look from the outside or even inside. However, the positive things of this hotel made my stay very confortable and pleasant. The rooms are not big, but are very well equiped (TV, safe, wardrobe, desk, mini-fridge/bar, water heater to make tea, wi-fi connection). I was there in November and I can say I was really happy that my room was really well heaten all the time. I never felt cold inside my room. There was heating in my room and in the bathroom. Also, room & bathroom were very clean and were cleaned everyday. There was hot water with good pressure in the bathroom. The breakfast was good, had variety of food, however it should have more variety of bread. The staff was always helpfull and nice. Regarding the location, it couldn't be better: it is next to supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, bars, discos, all transports and main avenues. With a few minutes walk and we are close to the river! I was really happy with my choice, great value for money!

Excellent”
Nice room at the back for one person - double bed. Was nice and quiet and the cleaner attended daily. Internet connection excellent. Breakfast was adequate. From the hot food, I chose scrambled eggs and frankfurter sausages coffee and a roll. Staff helpful to any questions. Printed out my boarding card no charge and chased up the Budapest airport bus when it was 20 minutes late. I would go there again. Very good value for the money. A building is a bit old and the rooms could be updated but that was not really that important. Nice strong shower and the room was warm.

Ok value & great location”
i stayed in king's hotel one night in beginning of june. room was ok. nothing special but ok value for the i paid. there was even small but loud ac mahcine in the window. breakfast fas decent. but i advise people who want to have breakfast go there early. i had my breakfast just before it ended and most of the things were gone or had been there for few hours. location is excellent. nice bars just outside the hotel and main sights are walking distance away.

The hotel is in the middle of the touristic area of budapest, very nice clean and friendly and gives you a fair value for your money. It is very comfotable for tourists that does not look for fancy hotel but want a nice base for wandering in the city and suroundings.

Great location,friendly staff”
The location of this hotel is just perfect, at the heart of an area with lots of coffees, restaurants, and bars. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The rooms are simple, not anything to fancy, but they are clean and comfortable. The breakfast was OK. It was very convenient that we had a place to sit, drink coffee and eat something before heading for a busy day of activity, but it was nothing special.

Worth of money”
I would rate it 4 out of 5. Absolutely worth of money we payed. I saw some reviews complaining on breakfast. Don`t understand what would you expect for 40 bucks a night in such a nice area. Location is good, stuff was very helpful, receptionist recommended extraordinary restaurant to us ,they even helped me with the parking tickets. Interior itself is little older but not something that bothered us at all. Rooms are clean and that`s what matters.

Nice staff and clean rooms”
Basic hotel with a fine location. Rooms were standardly equiped and clean. The staff was freindly and breakfeast was as expected. Overall we were satisfied with this hotel, that offers good value for money. We did not eat at the hotel for dinner, but there are many options in all price categories nearby. We wouls absolutly consider to stay in this hotel again.

Great location, small rooms and average cleaniness”
I booked double room with double bed but despite of my request they gave me two single beds. Cleanness was average. There was no tissue paper and no shampoo in hotel. The beds were of poor quality. Also the rooms were bit small. However the Hotel have great location, good helpful staff, fine breakfast.

Value, competence, location, adequate”
Location: Perfect. Right in the middle of all the social/night life of Pest. Very accessible by all forms of public transport. Great base for city exploring. On a quiet street without much foot or vehicle traffic. Within 1km of dozens of bars, eateries, restaurants, cafes, bakeries, butcher shops, grocery shopping, etc. Staff: Attentive & multi-lingual. They all spoke functional English. Not the friendliest people, but certainly not rude or dismissive. Just matter-of-fact. Housekeeping staff were mostly unobtrusive and attentive (a little noisy in adjoining rooms); the room was cleaned every day...even when they had already passed my room in the morning. Housekeeping came back upon my request to the reception staff on those occasions when I asked for late-morning/early afternoon service. Room: Small but functional and CLEAN, if a little dated and worn around the edges. SPOTLESS ensuite bathroom, though small. Functional & reliable ablutions facilities. Shower water pressure was fine; a little weak in the sink faucet. But the hot and cold water were DEFINITELY hot and cold all around. All linens were clean and functional. Short bed, short duvet/comforter, but not a problem given the reliable climate control and my level of tiredness every night. Functional & reliable a/c. Spartan & dated but functional furniture in room. Sparse clothing storage space; one wardrobe (8 hangers, no shelving), 2 small bedside cabinets with shelving. No awards for style. Facilities: lobby bar, restaurant, lobby-accessed garden/smoking area. Included breakfast buffet was filling and tasty; good but not great. Long on meat, cheese, & eggs, short of fruit, fiber, & cereal. No need for the restaurant outside of breakfast given the choices nearby. No need for the lobby bar given the hotel's location. The clean and neat garden is more like a patio; smoker friendly. Free Wi-Fi in the lobby areas.

One member of staff on arrival and departure not pleasant. ”
On arrival the guy at the desk said he needed my credit card in case I trash the room. I asked for second pillow and was told I would have to wait until the next day. I got an extra pillow after the travel company called the hotel. On departure same guy asked me 1 question did I use the mini bar. Never asked did I enjoy my stay. Breakfast terrible. All over the place.

Very good location but hotel was not great. For starters , I booked a double bed room but was provided with twin beds and was told hotel is fully booked so they cannot change the room. Breakfast was very limited but there were no plates available , so all the guests had to either wait for 15 mins to get the plates or have breakfast in bowls. Rooms were awful and hotel can use a re-decor for sure. Staff was not friendly and hardly greeted or smiled.

rooms are durty, too much noice in rooms, no a/c and if you open a window, could smell the kitchen. it starts to work at 06.30 with the noice of personell and smell of frying oil. so one should not open window or close it at 06.30 if you want to sleep longer. elevator is also occupied in the day time, so i should use stairs caring heavy bags. the fact that i also once asked for a taxi at the reception and got a private car also disappointed me. by the way, stuff mostly was friendly and well-mannered. there are many drunked people around because of cheap bars and pubs are located nearby the hotel.

There was no internet in the room. The rooms themselves were huge we had literally a "double room" with two separate bedrooms!
