Love the place! Stuff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is fresh, delicious and most importantly they are made of local ingredients. The room is clean and cosy, it just makes you feel like being at home. Location is great, close to subway. And walkable distance to historical landmarks Nijo castle and Kyoto Imperial Palace which is so great if you are into Japanese history. Overall a little pricey, but it was a fantastic experience with Machiya hotel in Kyoto.

Loved our stay at the hotel. The staff is was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very comfortable, well appointed and beautifully designed. They paid attention to every detail to ensure a comfortable stay that is uniquely Kyoto. It’s the Kyoto experience I wanted but cannot find in most hotels. The staff went above and beyond helping us plan our time and ordering taxis for us. They took special care with breakfast to accommodate a fish allergy. When we left, we felt like we were leaving family. I would definitely stay here again.

Amazing service and experience”
This hotel was one of the highlights of our Japan trip. The rooms are large -especially by Kyoto standards - and beautifully equipped - like small, traditional townhouses. But what made the experience truly unique was the service; from our arrival, to a drink at the bar in the evening to the breakfast and departure, we encountered extremely friendly and professional staff. Can highly recommend this hotel, would consider coming back.

The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. Room was really cool loft style. And the breakfast was such a treat every morning. They even asking about allergies and adjusted for me, which was really nice. Definitely recommend this unique hotel to anyone staying in Kyoto :)

Phenomenal!”
The facilities and staff are great. The rooms are small two story townhomes with plenty of room. Newly opened and very clean (as expected when in Japan). The breakfast is delicious and freshly made using local seasonal ingredients. The bar has a good selection of whiskey and the gin and tonic was our favorite. This is a special place and the staff makes you feel at home. Close walking distance to the underground. Very low key and chill.

可以的話, 住十日都得”
今次我地住既係2 號房, 由於四季十樂 10 間房既間隔都好唔同, 2 號房係最平選擇之一, 應該係minimum standard. 但係住落感覺非常之好, 第一係整棟町家都係你住既, 唔會有隔音或者空間不足既問題, 光線處理亦非常好, 無直射光線, 2樓卧室亦會利用陽光做照明. 早餐亦非常有特色, 麵包尤其好食. 可以的話, 我住十日都得. 唯一係, 實在離地鐵站太遠, 20分鐘的步行距離, 食野都要落番丸太町通, 是需要時間出入的一個住宿地點.

커플로 작년 크리스마스시즌에 1박했습니다. 직원분들 인상도너무좋으시고 지금까지 여행하며 묵었던 숙소중 가장 멋진곳이었어요. 룸 안에 테이블있는것도 너무좋았고 무엇보다 인테리어 공간 하나하나에 정성을 다해 신경쓴게 보였고 체크아웃할때 골목으로 사라질때까지 고개숙여 인사하며 배웅해주던 직원분들때문에 마지막순간까지 기분좋은 숙소였습니다. 간혹 디자인호스텔 부티크호텔이라하면 그림몇장 디자이너st 가구몇개 놓고 디자인되었다...라고 소개하는 숙소가많은데 발 들이는 순간부터 나올때까지 무엇하나 시선에걸리는것없고 오로지 호젓하게 하루 묵고 나오는게 정말 ‘잘’ 디자인된것같아요. 디자인 종사하는중이라 여행하며 여러 공간다니는걸 좋아하는데 여기는 샵도 아니고 관광지도아닌데 저에게 큰 감흥을준 공간이었습니다
