I really love this place! the staff, Yang "Nancy" and Hong is very kind, polite, and informative. Me and my friend went to Kyoto for a week and only book for 2 days. But they offered us to extend there with no overpriced at all. The facility also completely satisfying. The laundry was free, the kitchen was clean, and the wi-fi was amazing. i got a lot of advices from the staff, so i could travel Kyoto efficiently. if have any chance to come to Kyoto again, I'll choose Kyoto Guesthouse again.

Nice and cozy”
Pros: the location is very good, very close to Omiya station where you can take Hangyu or Randen easily. The price is very cheap among accommodations in Kyoto. The room is simple, however very big. For people who don’t need to watch tv it will be very good option. And there are many restaurants and bars around, the helper is Taiwanese and she is so accommodating and helpful, if you have any questions she is happy to find information for you. Cons: The room is on the 3rd floor, if your luggage is too big or too heavy it will be a bit difficult to check in and out. This is like guesthouse, so you will share toilet with other people, however, there are 2 bathrooms and one toilet, it doesn’t really bother me.

Cozy and Friendly”
I had a really awesome experience here especially since it was such a social and hospitable one with really friendly staff including a special mention to Shiro was always open for a chat and provided good advice. Bunks were comfortable and was really happy there was a spacious share cupboard for luggage, opposed to undersized lockers. Showers were nice and washlets also. Would strongly recommend for anyone coming through Kyoto, one little flaw, if you are planning on walking around with luggage it is 12min walk to JR Nijo but 10 minute walk to NIjo Castle but it is also on a nice cozy street with a few izakayas and konbinis.

Loved this hostel!”
Loved the traditional-modern feel of this hostel. Location was good as it’s just a few meters walk from the subway and bus stop. The staff even let us rent the bike for only 500yen (just for the night). The manager even gave us home-cooked Okonomiyaki. Overall, it was a great experience and the rooms were very clean! Would definitely recommend this to anyone traveling to Kyoto!

Except ceiling is quite tight on lower side bed. If you have some kind of clausphobia, maybe this is not the place , maybe you can ask for upper part of bed then should be ok,

Great place to stay!”
For those who looking for a beautiful place with a good location, this one is for you! Around 5-10 min walk from Omiya station, you can visit a lot of shrines by taking a bus or train. Near the guesthouse you can find bars, restaurants and fast food stores. Also a 24-hour stores, so called konbini. Rooms are clean, some of them have a traditional style tatami floor. Bathrooms also in a good condition, shampoo and body wash are also available. We stayed there in early spring, so outside of the room felt a little bit freezing, but it was ok. Because of the corona virus, some of the shared spaces wasn’t available, so please check it in advance. I personally enjoyed my time at this guesthouse.

どきどきの旅行”
あまりにも安いので、ゲストハウス自体日本では初めてで、初めは連絡先に連絡しても折り返しの連絡ですぐに繋がらないし、本当に予約取れたのかな?と不安でいっぱいでした。写真では嫌いな部屋だけだ実際は汚かったりするのかな?ただ不安でしかありませんでした。電話の声も中学の方？の様なカタコトの日本語でしたし。でも、いってみると、場所も二条城の近くだし商店街も近いし周りに飲食店もあるし、すごく便利なところでした。ゲストハウスも外観も中も綺麗でしたしトイレもシャワーも綺麗でした。もちろん部屋も。スタッフは一人でされてましたが、対応も一生懸命で明るい方でした。 ただ、一人住まれてる方がいらして、朝７時過ぎごろからバタバタと生活音がしだすので、その音で起きることもありますが、あまり神経質でなければ、夜は静かですし本当に寝るだけならいいかと思います。 今回は女友達と二人で来ましたが、私たちは外で飲んで食べて寝るだけだったので、ここで良かったです。部屋でわちゃわちゃお酒を楽しんだらするのなら他がいいと思いますが、本当に寝るだけならいいと思います。

割り切るか、割り切らないか”
バーゲン価格での予約だったので、その所は納得できるものでした。お部屋は清潔で気持ちよく過ごせました。共用スペースは、過ごしにくい感じでした。寝室に椅子があれば良いと感じました。共用スペースを案内のように和室を解放して欲しいです。当日和室は、スタッフの人が使用していたのでなんだか居心地はいまいちでした。寝室には押入れみたいな荷物置きがありましたが、ロッカーのようにしてもらったらいいなと思いました。
